Add Wireless Keyboard To Dual Receiver Usb

Would like to add a wireless keyboard to a "dual receiver usb" for a wireless mouse. I successfully installed the small "inteli-mouse" (microsoft wireless mobile mouse 6000) with the aid of the on-line update center i was sent to when i inserted the install cd. I like the tiny usb receiver, is there any way to update the driver so i can also use my "microsoft wireless keyboard 700 v2. 0" with this usb receiver? I'm running "windows 7 home premium 64 bit on a hp g71 laptop.

I like the wireless keyboard because the screen is very large & due to some physical issues i can keep the keyboard closer to me and the screen further away when home. Not important, just wondering?

Can i hook up the keyboard to that and it will work under windows 7? Do i have to install the intelitype software if i not going to use all the extras? Also, if this is hooked up to the usb port instead with windows 7 be able to recognize it as the computer is booting up?  Or not until after?

Wireless Keyboard & Mouse - Share The Usb Key

I have bought a ms wireless mouse 4000 and am wondering if i can buy the keyboard separately and have them use the same usb key. I only have 3 usb slots, and don't want 2 of them occupied by a mouse & keyboard. Do i need to buy the keyboard & mouse as a single unit? Or can i mix & match ?

Mce Remote With Generic Ir Usb Receiver Pairing

I have just upgraded a box from winxp media center to win7 to be used exclusively for media center. I have a microsoft media center remote that i'd like to use with this box, but use a 3rd party ir usb receiver. The original ir transmitter is in use on a new win7 mc and uses my logitech 880. The remote that came with the ir receiver works, but is poorly designed and i'd like yo use the original mce remote (with the green button).

Does anyone have a suggestion for telling the computer to respond to the mce remote instead of the junky one? Or do i need to buy an official mce remote and usb ir receiver if i don't want to use the cheap remote?

Wireless Mouse 5000 & Wireless Keyboard 3000 V2.0 Not Working

Bought the above package items and using it fine for a few months(2-3 months). Wireless mouse just don't work suddenly. Tried removing battery and then putting it back, it works. A few minutes later, mouse not working again (i notice no blue light at the bottom of mouse). Try again removing and putting back battery, it works again. But it lasted again for a few minutes.

Wireless Keyboard And Mouse Problem

I'm a tech and decided to report this, since i've seen multiple complaints of the same matter on the same forums. Its a win7 64-bit ultimate. The keyboard and mouse is natural wireless egronomic keyboard and mouse 7000. Started having problems 2 weeks ago approx. I uninstalled and reinstalled the intellipoint and intellitype software. Changed the batteries twice. Resynced many times no damage or anything spilled has happened to the keyboards usb cable keyboard and mouse works good.

The keyboard and mouse works good on another computer with winxp. Matter of fact i'm typing this message with the keyboard in question. I think possibly a patch issued is giving problems with a wireless keyboards and mouse.

Plugging Usb Keyboard & Mouse Into Different Usb Ports

I have a usb keyboard and mouse. Recently, i had to relocate my computer, so the keyboard and mouse were unplugged. My question is: if i plug the keyboard and mouse back, but not into the original usb ports, will this cause windows 7 to create a new hardware profile, or any other registry changes as a result?

Ie8 Installed Problem With Ms 6000 Wireless Keyboard

Running xp 5. 1. 2600 sp 3. Installing ie 8 caused two strange events. The slide show function for screen saver would not deploy. It would work with the preview function but not the way it is supposed to work. I was also using the ms 6000 wireless keyboard.

After installing ie8, the screen saver function started to work and my ms 6000 wireless keyboard receiver went dead (no green light). Changed batteries in keyboard but no luck. Don't know what ie 8 did but half of it was bad.

Ms Wireless Keyboard / Laser Mouse 5000 Intermittent Problem

I have an intermittent problem with my ms wireless keyboard and laser mouse 5000. Windows is not recognizing the receiver in "device manager" and will not allow any updates due to compatibility issues. My ms wireless has worked then when i re-boot, it will not work. I cannot find anything consistent about the problem so i can't troubleshoot the issue.

The only consistent thing is that when the device manager is reading a failure on the receiver, i can change ports and it doesn't change anything. I tried removing the drivers, and installing new drivers but nothing seems to help. What do i do to get win 7 device manager to recognize my wireless keyboard and mouse receiver?

Dell Studio 1537 Infrared Receiver Problem

How do i get my dell studio 1537 laptop, with win7 pro, and the "itecir infrared receiver (ec)" driver to recognize my rc6 xbox 360 universal remote control?

I have a dell studio 1537 laptop, with a built-in rc6 ir port. The "microsoft ehome infrared transceiver" is listed in my device manager. The "itecir infrared receiver (ec)" is listed in my device manager. I've tried uninstalling and re-installing each, several times, with reboots between.
I've tried the "update driver software" several times for each.

No matter what i do, i cannot get windows media center to move when i use the remote. The rc6 xbox universal remote works perfectly on the xbox in a different room. Windows media center navigates fine with the keyboard. I do not want to have to plug in an external usb ir receiver - i want to use the one that is built in to the laptop. Is there something i'm missing? Does anyone know any other websites that could help me with this?

Dual Boot 7 On Internal Hdd And Xp On External Usb Connected Ide

One of my laptops is an old acer aspire 5610. I want to have a dual boot system, 7 and xp, but 7 on the internal hdd and xp on the external usb-ide hdd, and by that, i mean a 100gb ide hard disk placed into a hdd enclosure, connected to the computer through usb. It also has separate power supply. The internal notebook's hdd is also ide.

I have read that installing windows on external usb-ide hard disk may be possible, depending on my mainboard configuration. I have already checked my configs and it *does* support usb-ide boot up to be first priority. Anyway, since testing it would be really time consuming (to try to dual boot, and if failed, roll back everything) i want to ask your opinions, do you think is that even possible?

Dual Psx Usb Adapter Won't Detect Ps2 Controller

I just upgraded to windows 7 home premium from using windows xp sp3. I was just using a plug and play psx-usb adapter and a playstation 2 controller to play games such as pro evo. Now on xp i just had to plug it in and it worked fine, the same was true of windows 7 to a point, i plugged it in, the system recognized it and automatically installed it (it shows up in the devices and printers tab as a dual psx adapter) however it doesn't seem to recognize the controller when its plugged in. I've tried the solutions listed here http://reabo.co.uk/_tutorials/usbadaptervista.aspx but they don't seem to have made any difference. Any ideas?

Cannot Use Usb Keyboard In Boot Menu

Cannot use usb keyboard in "windows did not shut down properly" boot menu. Sometimes when windows tries to sleep, it cannot properly recover, or wake up. For instance, it goes to sleep, but then does nothing when i move the mouse or press keys. I've installed a hotfix for it and maybe it'll fix the problem, however, when i use the restart button to get out of this situation, a "windows did not shut down properly" menu comes up, with the option of selecting safe mode, etc.

In this menu, i cannot use my keyboard to select any options, i cannot press enter to select the default "start windows normally" option and usually have to wait for the timer to run down. I've only had this problem since switching to a usb keyboard from ps2. Furthermore, there seems to be no power to the keyboard, the caps-lock key doesn't turn a light on when pressed etc so that it seems like the keyboard is non-functional in this menu. I can enter the bios and work the bios with this keyboard indicating the problem may not be hardware.

Cannot Boot With Usb Keyboard Failure

I'm running windows 7 ultimate on a dell dimension e520, this has run without trouble since install. The machine is fully patched and with upto avira and immunet and a full scan with malwarebytes last sunday came back totally clean. However yesterday a blue error screen came up and before the machine powered down i saw a message about usb.sys but did not have enough time to read it !

When i power up the machine the keyboard lights initially work but as soon as i try to use it to boot the machine or boot from the install dvd the keyboard fails. I have a midi music keyboard pluged in, the lights on this do not indicate failure, but moving my qwerty keyboard to use a usb socket that works with that also fails.

Usb Mouse And Keyboard Disabled

I managed to disable mouse and keyboard somehow when working in the device manager. My computer (acer revo 3600) only has usb ports so i can't undo my changes. The usb ports and mouse&keyboard are working. They work when i'm in the bios. The usb ports are not completely shut off in windows, my usb wlan is working. I've tried this:

- Safe mode (and all other modes offered in boot)
- Plug in new (previously unconnected) mouse in safe mode and normal mode.

What can i do?! Options are quite limited when i can't change anything in windows (7 x64).

Keyboard Problem When Used With Usb Converter

I have an old microsoft ps2/usb mouse, it's called intelli-mouse w/intellieye v1. 0 it has a part number of x04-91790. The mouse is plugged into a 2xps/2 to usb converter which obviously plugs into the usb port on the computer. The motherboard is a very recent h55 chipset (gigabyte ga-h55m-ud2h-f4) which only comes with one port for the keyboard / mouse.

I also use a kvm switch as i control two pcs with the same keyboard/mouse. I now find that after a random amount of minutes of using the keyboad and mouse together (only within windows 7) that i'm no longer able to edit any document that i may be working in or control the screen by pressing the keyboard. It is almost as though whatever i press on the keyboard activates other functions in windows and the only way for the pc to correct itself is for it to be rebooted !

This is not a virus or spyware issue and all drivers are current and up-todate from their respective manufacturers or intel.

No Usb Devices Works Except Mouse / Keyboard

There are some threads here about non working usb devices. I read them all (i think) and tried all different kind of solutions but none is working. I have a hp ex500aa-b1u desktop. I used to have xp enterprise. One day the mouse and keyboard stopped working. I suspected some kind of virus and after a lot of work managed to start it in fail safe mode, backed up my files and then reinstalled xp.
Mouse and keyboard started working but all oter devices i put in (usb flash memory, camcorder, usb disk etc) just get the message "unknown usb device". I installed w7 enterprise instead but still have the same problem.

Is it possible that i had a virus that did something to my bios? I also have a built in usb disk that came with the computer. This disk is found after maybe 15 minutes after startup. But the speed when copying something from it is very slow. Maybe 700 kb/s.

Usb Mouse / Keyboard Drivers Failing To Install

I have a strange problem with mouse and keyboard usb drivers can anyone suggest any way forward?

I have a desktop computer running windows 7, upgraded using a custom install from windows vista. It has a pair of hard drives configured as raid 1 and a usb mouse and keyboard. I recently had to replace the power supply after the old one failed and ever since then at each startup of windows i get a message that it is trying to install usb drives for 2 keyboards and one mouse (i only have 1 keyboard!) By downloading drivers from windows update. The install always fails and after this i am unable to use the mouse or keyboard in any usb ports apart from the ones they were connected to when windows started.

Trying to connect any other mouse or keyboard to the other usb ports after windows has started again generates the "device driver software was not successfully installed" message and the device is not usable.

Other usb devices work fine - e.g. I can plug a memory stick into any of the usb ports and that installs fine and works perfectly.

I tried doing a manual update in device manager which shows 2 keyboards and a mouse under the human interface device section but each time i tried update driver i had a "file not found" error and the device disappeared from device manager. I could only get them back by doing a system restore.

I have tried a windows repair boot, a chkdsk, a sfc /scannow and even a full system image restore back to before my power supply failed but none of these acions have made any difference.

I'm considering a full reinstall of windows 7 but this will be a pain as there will be quite a few applications to reinstall and i don't know for sure if it will fix the problem.

Can anyone suggest anything else?  Is it possible to manually copy / check / replace the exact driver files for usb keyboard and mouse?

Usb Keyboard / Mouse Not Working After Upgrade To Win7

Upgraded vaio vgn-fz290 to win 7 from vista. Have ms digital media pro keyboard and wireless intellimouse explorer 2. 0. Both work fine if i use them on another computer, and worked fine on the vaio before upgrading to w7. When i plug them in they do not show up in the "safely remove hardware" or under usb devices, keyboards or mice in device manager. When i plug the keyboard in the "f" function light comes on for 1 second and then goes out. When i plug in the wireless receiver for the mouse no lights come on.

Basically the computer acts like nothing is even plugged into the usb. Tried every usb port, same result. Also used my usb flash drive successfully in each usb port, so it is not a bad usb port. No splats show up in device manager. I have also tried an old usb keyboard, and get the same result. If i open "safely remove hardware" i see all other usb devices plugged in, but not the keyboard or mouse.

I have installed the w7 drivers from ms and no difference. I have uninstalled the drivers, no difference. I have uninstalled my primary laptop keyboard and rebooted, still won't recognize the usb keyboard. I can plug the keyboard and/or mouse into my mac mini server and it works like a champ.

I am utterly clueless on what else i can do and hate using a small keyboard and track pad at my desk.

Usb Mouse / Keyboard Stop Working Correctly

I originally had windows vista x64 on my computer (it is 8 months old, intel quad core 2. 0ghz, 6 gb ram etc). I installed windows 7 rc in july (clean install) and used it until 2 weeks ago, when i installed windows 7 professional edition (i reinstalled vista and then installed the windows 7 upgrade using the clean install).

Over the past few days, i have had problems with mouse and keyboard (both usb connected). The inputs start acting bizarrely. For example, using the scroll button in firefox causes the font sizes to change in firefox, instead of scrolling, and clicking on links opens the link in a new windows, not in the same window. Right clicking stops functioning. The keyboard input goes simultaneously strange- i can no longer type (for eg in firefox search boxes, or in wmp), of if i type, it uses another command to open something etc.

I do not understand what is going on! However, after rebooting, the problem goes away and everything works fine, until the next time it happens (has happened 3x now). I have tried my mouse and keyboard in my old laptop and they both seem to work fine. I have not receive any driver errors/ virus messages/ malfunction(bitdefender 2010) messages of any kind, and as far as i know, all drivers are up to date.

Does anyone know what is going on? Is there something wrong with my motherboard? And if so, why are there no error messages? And why do things work again after rebooting?

Problems With Usb Wireless Adapter

Having problems with usb wireless adapter. Seems to go to sleep regularly and not wake up. When running xp, this would happen occasionally. All i would do to fix it was unplug and plug the usb adapter and it would start back up fine.

With windows 7, it happens regularly and when i unplug and plug it will not restart. Only thing that works is to restart? Is there a way to restart the wireless adapter without restarting. Or better, keep it from dying or restart automatically.

Wireless Usb Dongles Not Working

Let me make this as brief as possible. I have windows 7 ultimate x86, core i7 cpu, 2gb ddr3, p55 motherboard.

I followed all driver procedures: install drivers then device, install device then drivers, install device then go to device manager and have disk etc. No matter what i do, the device drivers say they are working but i can never enable the device. When i click enable, it says "enabling. Enabled" but it never does!

When i pull out the device, it now says enabled for 1 second, then disappears. I have tried two different usb dongles, a gw-micron, and a buffalo wli-uc-gn (both using ralink chip. )

I have used windows 7 drivers to no avail, and have used even newer drivers from new devices and such. This seems like a windows 7 glitch with usb dongles, i even tried it on my friends w7 x64, same exact problem. Other times it would give me a blue screen.

Wireless Usb Mouse On Lenovo T500

I'm about to install win 7 on a new lenovo thinkpad t500. According to a lenovo "windows 7 hints & tips" document: there is no wireless usb software for windows 7. Affected systems: - thinkpad r400 and r500 - thinkpad t61, t61p, t400, and t500 - thinkpad w500, w700, and w700ds - thinkpad x200, x200s, x200 tablet, and x301

Symptom: there is no wireless usb software for windows 7.

Cause: wireless usb devices for the above systems do not support windows 7. I'm not sure what "wireless usb devices" includes, but it sounds as if my microsoft wireless mobile mouse 6000 or wireless mobile mini mouse might not work after i install win 7. I'm also asking lenovo, but does anyone here know if a wireless usb mouse will work with win 7 (a) on any computer or (b) specifically on any of the listed lenovo computers?
