Microsoft Office Pro What Version 64-bit?

I am upgrading to window 7. I just got my computer back from hp repair. Due to the repairs all of the software applications had been removed. The computer came with vista and a free upgrade from hp. I just upgraded to windows 7. Now i need to download my application software and i am starting with my microsoft office professional. I tried to go on the compatibility checker to make sure that the microsoft professional 2007 is compatible.

In checking, the microsoft website says that office professional version 12 is compatible with my 64 bit system. Where do i find my version? I have the original packaging from the store but cannot seem to find the version. How can i make sure it is compatible with a 64 bit system?

Visual Studio 2005 Pro Compatibility With Win 7 Pro 64-bit

Can i use visual studio 2005 pro on windows 7 pro 64 bit? I use visual studio 2005 pro on xp pro 32 bit. Can i use it on windows 7 pro 64 bit?I have looked on the vs site and could not find a definitive answer to using this version on my new os. I know, they're putting visual studio 2010 et al. I do not have the kind of cash they're trying to get from me. T least, if i can use it, i can do some self made/self-used projects. I will download the free development systems. But, they run out after 60-90 days. I still need to get ms office standard 2007/10.

Do I Really Need Pro Version?

Currently i'm running vista home premium w/sp2 (32 bit). Some of the files have become corrupt and because i can't get a full repair cd with sp2, i can't fix it. Slipstreaming is too complicated. I also want to change from 32 bit to 64 bit. No point in having a dual quad processor if you can't use all of it. I've been told that i can buy a retail version, pop in the right cd and hit fresh install. It will wipe vista off my hard drive and install the new windows 7 64 bit in it's place.

Is that true? I've been looking over the various versions and am now totally confused as to what to buy. I can buy an oem, (whatever that is), i can also buy just the 64 bit version, or a full version with both 32 and 64 bit. Whatever i get i want a cd in my hands not a download. I have macrium reflect as my iso image burning program. With that, wouldn't i have the same as the pro version of 7.

Meaning can i just buy the home premium version and use macrium instead of shelling out extra money for a feature i already have?Lso; while trying to hunt down a copy i can afford, i went to ebay. I see a number of sites offering everything windows at ridiculously low prices. One such site is top2dvd.com  they are selling 7 ultimate for $96. Now anybody with half a brain knows they are about to get seriously screwed, or they are going to get a pirated copy. Does microsoft have any kind of dept that cruises ebay to weed these people out, and hopefully throw them in jail?

Is there any place to report these sites to? I have 3 e-mails from this site, all 3 step carefully around the legal copy issue. Yet in their ad they promise it is a fully licensed copy with a good activation key. I just want to get my computer squared away so i can burn a good iso image so i don't end up in this mess again. I didn't know i was even missing files until after i bought macrium and it failed to verify an iso backup image. Kind of like buying a cow after all the fences have all fallen down.

Will I Need To Upgrade All Of My Existing Software To A 64-bit Version, If I Use 64 Bit Win 7 ?

I am ready to purchase a new desktop computer with windows 7, but i am a little confused about the 32 vs. 64 bit decision. I understand technically what the difference is, but i am not sure what the impact on my software will be. At present all i have is 32 bit software running on both my desktop and laptop, some of which is quite old but still needed and very functional. I can't afford to replace all of my software, some of which have no counterpart in 64 bit. My new laptop is running 32 bit vista (less than 1 year old). Will i need to upgrade all of my existing software to a 64 bit version if i get the 64 bit version of win 7 or will i be able to use my old software with the new os? I also plan to upgrade to a new version of office. What impact will that have if i go to a 64 bit version? What about compatibility with my laptop and the existing 32 bit office on it?

Office 2003 Issue - Microsoft Office End User License Agreement

Windows 7 pro, get "microsoft office end-user license agreement. " From office 2003 programs. I purchased a new hp computer with windows 7 pro, then loaded all of the software i'd been using on my old xp system. Every time i start any office 2003 app, i get a dialog box labeled "microsoft office end-user license agreement. " I must click on "accept" before continuing. I use an old vista solution of 'running as admin' and now i receive a box asking if it is alright to modify this program(registry i think). How can i stop this box from appearing?

Windows 64-bit Keeps Trying To Run 32-bit Version Programs

Windows 64 bit version keeps trying to run a 32 bit version to run internet from different programs. I updated my sony laptop to windows 7 from vista. I had trouble connecting to the internet. I went to the search programs and files option from my start menu. I found the explorer 64 bit option and  clicked on it and the internet can right up.

I downloaded things like i-tunes and sony reader and when i go to places like the library that need to access the internet i get the no connection error. I also get messages that i am trying to run a 32 bit version of something that has a 64 bit cpu and an error code. I need to know how to change the defaut to run everything on the 64 bit version. I hope this makes since to someone. I am so confused and frustrated.

Redo Upgrade With 64-bit Version From 32-bit

I just recently upgraded from xp to windows 7 a couple of days ago. And i must say i love it however, because i was so excited about upgrading i actually put in the 32bit version disk. So my question would be can i redo my upgrade with the 64bit version disk. I'm assuming it would be a custom clean install and don't mind reinstalling certain programs ( it is well worth it ).

Convert 32-bit To 64-bit Version Using Same Upgrade

I am currently using xp on my desktop and want to convert to 64bit win7. However, my tax returns were done on this computer over the past several years and the 32bit tax software used to prepare these returns probably will not work on the 64bit os, if i install the 64bit version now i will lose access to my older tax data. Can i install win7 32bit version via a clean install with the upgrade version, now and later, convert this win7 os to the win7 64bit version using the same upgrade version?

Using Key From 64-bit Install For 32-bit Version On Same Pc

Want to use key from 64 bit install for clean install of 32 bit version on same pc. I recently purchased windows 7 ultimate which included the 64 and 32 bit versions. I installed the 64 bit version on my laptop and would like to go to the 32 bit version for compatibility issues with older programs. (I've grown a bit tired of working through the trouble shooting that comes with the 64 bit version) i would like to know if it is legal and possible to use the key from my 64 bit to use for doing a clean install of the 32 bit version on the same pc?

Office Xp With Win 7 Pro

I own a license of office xp that was purchased on a sony laptop which has become increasingly slow and prone to lockups with each xp update and has also lost some of its original xp components, so i bought a new toshiba with win 7 pro and would like to run the office xp on it. However the sony came with two sony application recovery cds rather than office xp installation cds, and the recovery cds won't run on the toshiba. I have the license key for this office xp copy, but have no way to install it on the toshiba from the supplied cds.

I've used windows easy transfer to copy my desktop profile and data files to the toshiba, but is there a way i can get office xp transferred and installed too? Btw, when i tried to restore the missing xp components from the sony supplied system recovery cds, the setup asked for an xp sp3 cd which i don't have because the sony came with xp before any service packs were issued. This is another reason i broke down and bought the toshiba.

Install Office 2003 Pro

I just upgraded (got a new) laptop with win7 home premium 64bit, pre-installed. No e-mail. I do have a license for office pro 2003. I installed said office product, mostly it works. But when i try to set up my e-mail accounts i get an error message "the operation failed due to a registry or installation problem. Restart outlook and try again. If the problem persists, please reinstall"
I had read in one of these forums that office 2003 does work in win 7, but i failed to mark that spot.

Error - Microsoft.net Framework Version 2.o Is Required To Continue

Upgraded vista to windows 7 and upon every restart an error message appears stating "microsoft.net framework version 2. 0 is required to continue". Does anyone have a fix to this problem - step by step please; i have tried a lot of the recommendations i have seen in some of these postings and none have worked?

Local future shop is putting profits before customer satisfaction and is demanding $$$ to fix it; so i will do it myself - not sure why i should have to pay for something i have already paid for - an upgrade that installs and works properly?

Error - Microsoft .net Framework Version 2.0 Is Required To Continue

I keep getting the message listed above whenever i start my computer. It began after i upgraded to windows 7. When i try to install the service pack for the .net framework version 2. 0, it says that the software is not compatible with vista. But i installed the windows 7 upgrade, so it should not matter if it is compatible with vista, right? I don't understand what i am supposed to do; first, i get an error message saying i need .net framework version 2. 0, then i get a message saying that it is not compatible.

Mac Pro With Bootcamp - Reinstall Win 7 And Office 2010

Macpro with bootcamp - need to re-partition hd and re-install win 7 and office 2010 (full versions, not upgrades). I just called support and the 90 days of support are up on the windows 7 since i purchased it in oct or nov 2009. When i re-partition i will lose both msft programs. I don't think there will be any problem with office 2010 which was purchased this week but what about win 7? Will the product key work if it is re-installed on the same computer or do i have to shell out more money to gates for his pirated software from apple?

Support wouldn't answer that question as they said the product key was out of date. Wow. 90 days is awfully short.

Wrong Bit Version

I won a copy of windows 7 ultimate at a microsoft hosted seminar. When i opened it at home to install, i discovered that there was only a 64 bit version disc in the package. Since i have a dell 32 bit laptop running vista home premium, i cannot use the disc that i won. Is it possible for me to somehow exchange this unused disc for the correct version? I could provide you with the product code which has not been registered or used.

If exchanging the physical media discs is not practical, could you exchange the code to allow me to do an online upgrade path to any edition of windows 7? I don't need ultimate and would be happy with the standard home edition. I was told by a friend that this activation code inside the package would not work if i simply did an online up grade to 7.
