Activation Code Trouble

I'll just chronicle the events
1. Bought a computer at best buy with win 7 64 bit - recovery disk only
2. Purchased an intel solid state drive to use as my boot disk
3. Downloaded a windows 7 iso from digital rivers but i downloaded 32 bit by mistake (which becomes important)
3. The activation code that came with my computer wouldn't activate this install
4. I called ms tech support and got a new key code which worked
5. Realized i had installed 32 bit by mistake
6. Downloaded and installed 64 bit and now neither activation code will work.
I am allowed to choose which version i want, 32 or 64, so i should be completely legal with the current install (or i'll make it right). I don't have the stomach to spend 3 hours on the phone with tech support again, any other ideas?

Activation Error Code 0xc004c008

The following information was found for this error: code: 0xc004c008

Description: the activation server determined that the specified product key could not be used.

This is what i keep on getting when i click the details for the error that requires this change. I keep on getting this message to activate the windows. I've typed the product key. But it says type another product key. I've also downloaded the windows genuine software and yesterday it has proved that mines genuine. But now. It's asking again for the product key that i've typed already but it doesn't want to accept.

What's the possible solution for this?

Activation Product Code Has Been Blocked

I purchased a retail copy of windows 7 ultimate and installed and activated the 64 bit version successfully. After a couple of weeks, i received a message to say that build 7600 copy of windows is not genuine. However i'm still receiving automatic updates. The packaging appears to be the same as shown on the microsoft website as being genuine and also the disc has the holograms including the "microsoft" and "genuine". I have tried to validate the software and get the message that the product code has been blocked.

I have been on the windows script host and get the following:

Partial product key: dqtc2

Activation Error Code 0xc004f061

In october, the day windows 7 was released, i purchased the family pack of the upgrade version of windows 7 home premium. I upgraded my home pc to windows 7 from winxp. Recently, i purchased two toshiba netbooks, both of which are more than capable of running win7. The netbooks came with win7 starter pre-installed. I went to windows anytime upgrade on both netbooks, and chose the option of entering the product key i had already purchased back in october. Windows anytime upgrade accepted the key, and upgraded both netbooks to windows home premium. Win7 home premium runs fine on both netbooks, but now i'm getting activation reminders.

I try to use the same product key to activate, and get this error code. I have done the slui.exe 4 thing, spoken to a real person, who told me i needed to call tech support. I call tech support, and they transfer me to the activation center. The activation center tells me, again, that i need to talk to tech support. None of the real people i talked to could understand or speak english well.

It does not make sense to me that the upgrade key i purchased, in order to be able to upgrade three computers, will not work to upgrade two of them from windows 7 starter to home premium. Do i seriously need to purchase two more keys, when i already have a perfectly valid key that was accepted by anytime upgrade in the first place?

Activation Code Isn't Being Accepted

I'm a student at a technology university, and i recently installed a copy of windows 7 on my primary computer. Due to a power surge not two hours ago, that machine is inoperable for a while. So i pulled out an old tower and brought it back up to speed, but the same activation code isn't being accepted. Is there any way that i can use the same code, or is it actually impossible to install this same copy of windows twice on two machines?

If so then that's really a very negative point for the windows os. I plan to get my other machine up and running again, but i don't know if the surge knocked out more than just the psu. If i have to rebuild it then i can't use the windows 7 i am legitimately the owner of?

Activation Code / Key Wont Work

When windows 7 was released, i purchased the package that included three windows 7 home premium licenses. I used two of them awhile back on our main computer and my laptop, and just recently inherited another computer. When i installed windows 7 on that computer, it kept telling me the key was not valid. I skipped the step, intending to contact support, but forgot about it. Now i'm getting all of the warning signs saying that my activation period has expired and i need to activate it. I'm not sure what happens if i never activate it. But i really want to.

Is there anything i can do if it continues to tell me the code is wrong despite the fact i've only used 2 of the 3 licenses?

Reinstalling Win 7 Activation Code Problem

So, i had already upgraded to windows 7 home premium but felt the need to format, you know because of the viruses that mess up your windows pc. Stupid me, i made the mistake of not checking a thousand forums and making sure that microsoft hadn't gotten over its as*holicity and that i couldn't re-install an upgrade version of 7!I went ahead anyway and reinstalled windows 7 on an existing windows 7 running pc and boom, it wont let me activate. And to make matters even better, i do not have access to the windows vista installation drive that came with my laptop and so i have no way of re-installing one of the old versions and then re-re-installing windows 7.

Win7 Will Not Accept Password Occasionally

I have been running windows 7 for over a year now and all of a sudden the system will occasionally not accept my password when trying to get back in after the system has been in sleep mode. I can boot the system up ok but every once in awhile when i come back to my computer and have to re-enter my password, it says that it is incorrect. What can be causing this? I then have to reboot my system in order to get back in. What would be causing the system to occasionally not accept my password after i have successfully logged in? It doesn't happen all the time which makes me wonder if something external is affecting my system.

Clean Install With Upgrade Media - Activation Code Wont Work

Im a student in the pitt system. We were issued a copy of windows 7 ultimate upgrade version. I have a laptop with vista on it and would be happy to keep it on there. I recently built a new computer from scratch and would like to put my copy on windows 7 on there.

Everything worked up until i got to the activation code since it was as fresh of an install as it could be. The activation code wont work though. Being a college student, i don't have enough money to buy even an old copy to install so i can upgrade to windows 7. Are there any very low cost (under $30) options in order to have my windows 7 work?

Win7 Will Not Accept Ati Driver & Catalyst Control Center At Same Time

Windows 7 will not accept any ati driver and catalyst control center at same time. I have tried a number of ati drivers. My card is a 4870 x2 2gb edition. The driver that windows installs will not accept any ccc.

I have also not installed ccc and left driver alone. I tried playing everquest 2, first game to install, and it crashes before load, giving me a dx9 ref error. I'm assuming windows 7 has the newest dx package so i shouldn't have to reinstall that. I have downloaded some of these however. I will try a rollback and see if that works. If i could go back in time and never have bought this o/s i would have by now.

Non Valid Key Product

I recently purchased the windows 7 home premium upgrade pack and had it installed on my laptop. I also activated them. The same day after i installed windows 7 i got a virus in my system so i used the cds to format my laptop. After i formated it i checked to see if the windows were activated which they weren't. When i tried to use the key in the product case it gave me an error saying that the code was ment for update version only and not for full installs.

Does the activation , i did before formating the laptop, have anything to do with it?How can i activate them again?Should i install another version of windows and then update them?Would this solve my problem? Or is there any simpler way to do it?Please answer as soon as possible you can.

Exe Not A Valid Win32 Application

I just received my hp dv6z from hp.com and turned it on and set everything up correctly i believe. I consider myself somewhat knowledgeable when it comes to computers but i can't figure this out. ".exe is not a valid win32 application" after every single time i want to go to setup of something also says "this installation package could not be opened" on some different files i'm trying to install. My downloads also do not complete all the time, they get to like 90% then stop going up.

Im running windows 7 and already reformatted once with the recovery thing only to come back to the same situation. Right when i get into the computer after setting it up after a reformat i have full access like a normal computer but then it starts to give me win32 error and download issues. I just transferred a downloaded file by usb from my workout computer to the new one that doesn't open files correctly and it works fine installing. Something with the download process is jacking up the file or something not sure!

Product Key Is Not A Valid Windows Sku

I had vista home premium running on my desktop and vista basic on my laptop. I purchased an upgrade to win7 home premium through digital river (using a student offer) and promptly upgraded my desktop- no problem there. I also upgraded my laptop which worked fine, but now it says that the trial period is over and that i need to activate windows. The product key that i purchased was apparently only for one machine.

I bought a new product key off the internet (ebay) but the activation screen tells me that the product key is not a valid windows sku. The ebay vendor gave me a download to create a disk for the win7 software which i did and tried installing it using the "upgrade" option and the "custom" option. Both methods will not accept the product key.

Do i need to either:
1. Reinstall vista and then do the win 7 again, or
2. Buy another product key again?

Error - .exe Is Not A Valid Win32 Application

I am consistently having problems downloading programs from the internet. I am confident that it is not a corrupted file issue as i am downloading (or trying to!) From dependable sources - hp, autodesk, etc. These error messages occur both when i try to just run the .exe or save it and then run it. I have tried the en. Kioskea.net link i seen in many posts and that is no help. Perhaps a clue is that i received a file directly from the source via email and the file ran fine. Seems to imply it's a downloading or .exe setting issue, but i am not savvy enough to figure it out.

Install Product Key Not Valid Problem

My wife recently purchased and installed windows 7 on her pc, and i installed it shortly after. The product key didn't work so i found a universal one on the internet that seemed to work fine. Now i am being alerted or warned that the product key is not valid and i need a new one, or something to that affect. Cant the owner use the product key on more than one computer? Do i need to uninstall it and revert back to vista, or buy another one and use that key? I want to keep windows 7 but i don't want to have to reinstall it again, it took too long. Any recommendations or solutions?

Install Upgrade - Product Key Not Valid

I am a graduate student at at univ. Of maryland, college park. Until around a month ago, i was using windows vista, but it kept giving me problems and viruses. So, i decided to switch to windows 7. The windows 7 cd is available at subsidized rates for staff members at the university. Since i am a teaching assistant, i could avail of this discount. Although i had asked for the upgrade cd, when i was installing windows 7, the cd asked me whether i wanted to upgrade an existing os or install a fresh copy.

I was not aware that the upgrade cd cannot be used for fresh install. I thought that if the upgrade cd cannot be used for a fresh install, then the cd would not give me the option of a fresh install. But since it did give the option, i decided to erase the windows vista files and install windows 7 afresh, since windows vista was giving problems. So, i installed windows 7 ultimate afresh, and i was asked to activate it. Its been about a month, and when i try to activate it, it says that the product key is not valid (that is, it can only be used for upgrade) and hence i am not using a legal windows copy.

But i was not told that the cd can not be used for fresh install while installing, and was given an option to either upgrade or install afresh, which resulted in me deleting my original windows vista files. I immediately contacted the university it helpdesk, but they do not have the fresh windows 7/vista cds for graduate students, they only have update cds, and advised me to contact microsoft. What should i do now? Can i get a new product key?

Upgrade To New Hard Drive - Product Key Not Valid

My hard drive crashed - trying to install windows 7 upgrade to new hard drive - product key not valid. I upgraded my computer running vista to windows 7 with an upgrade disk - no problem. My hard drive crashed so i now have a brand new hard drive in the computer.

I boot from the windows 7 dvd but of course the product key is invalid because there is no operating system on the new hard drive. Is there a way to get around this without having to install an operating system on my new hard drive first?
