Blue Screen When Connecting To Wireless Network

My computer crashes and shows a bsod very often. The thing is that happens usually when i'm connected to a wireless network in my office. I thought it was some problem with the office wireless network, but then it happened with the network of a hotel i was staying in some time ago. And those are the only situations when it happens. At home it works just fine, without any problems. What should i do?

Blank Screen When Connecting Laptop To Tv With Hdmi Cable

Blank screen when i connect my laptop to tv with a hdmi cable. I am trying to coonect my laptop ( dell studio 1555 ) to my sony tv ( bravia kdlw4100 ) using an hdmi cable. My laptop is running windows 7 home premium ed. I have 2 questions in this regard - first question is what display settings do i need to change on my laptop in order to get the output on the tv ?

Second question - while trying to get this stuff working i changed the following settings- graphic options -> extend > to digital tv. Since i changed this setting i am having problems getting a display on the laptop ( when the hdmi cable is connected ). Even if i remove the hdmi cable the screen still remains blank and i have to hard boot the laptop to get it working. Is there a way i can get back to my original display settings?

Hp Laptop Boots To Blue Screen

Recently my stock hp laptop running single boot win7 64bit had a bsod going to sleep. Next boot resulted in startup repair which worked for about an hour and couldn't fix the problem. On closer inspection it seems a lot of files (20gb out of 100gb on disk) especially from the program files directory have been placed in a found. 000 directory. Does anyone have any ideas what happened? There is no minidump directory and no .dmp files. Is it likely to have been a hardware or software problem? Bios testing of the hard drive reports no problems. If i reinstall win7 will the same thing happen again?

Blue Screen On Startup - Nvidia Phisx Display Drivers Problem

I am having a bit of a headache here. I currently run windows 7 ultimate. Everything had been running exceptionally. I recently ran driver sweeper and was rebooting with the application. It supposedly removed nvidia phisx, display and chipset drivers. Windows 7 now bsod's in the middle startup. I try to go into safe mode with any options and it bsods as well. I have run startup repair to no avail. Repair said it found a problem that a change in system settings but it couldn't do anything further. I tried to run sfc scannow on the command prompt in startup repair and it said there is a repair pending and it had to be restarted. I have windows xp on another hard drive so i can access directories that way with limited capability. I also did not set a recovery point nor do i have an image to return to. Any ideas?

Vaio Laptop Display Dark

Three times now since upgrading to windows 7, when my sony vaio laptop (model vgn-nr498e) either turns on or wakes up from sleep mode, the display doesn't come up. It still displays, and in the right light you can faintly make out the screen, almost like it is still displaying, but the backlight isn't working. After the first time, i tried just doing a cold power down, but when i turned it back on, the display was still dark. I eventually got it shut down properly within windows and when i turned it back on after that, it came back up perfectly fine.

I downloaded the latest chipset drivers from the intel website thinking that was the issue. But it has happened twice since then. Both times, if i am able to do a proper shutdown or restart from within windows, it will come back up just fine. At first i thought it was a hardware issue (bad connection or something), but the fact that there is no flickering or anything like that, and a simple restart from within windows brings it all back fine makes me think this might be something else.

Laptop Does Not Recognise External Usb Dvd Drive

My laptop does not recognize the built-in dvd or an external usb dvd drive. But if i configure the bios to let the laptop booting from the dvd drive then the dvd drive worked fine. It could read the disc. One time, i removed nero program from the system and i don't know whether some windows files got corrupted.

Blue Screen - Driver_power_state_failure

I have owned windows 7 for about 5 months now. I upgraded to windows 7 professional from windows xp home edition. I also upgraded to 4gb of ram. Since then, i have, at random times, received the blue screen of death and then my computer quickly shuts down and reboots. I haven't bothered with getting it fixed because it wasn't too much of a problem for me, but now it seems to be recurring a lot more often. I have already had it happen twice today.

However, sometimes it is not always a blue screen, it may just turn black, shut off, and reboot. When it is a blue screen i notice it says driver_power_state_failurealso note that whenever this problem happens, i am always on internet explorer 8, not doing anything out of the ordinary either. My computer just gets these screens at random times. I have looked at other topics in this forum for the answer, but it has been difficult finding a solution.

Blue Screen Problem

I been lurking around here for sometime hoping to find some answers to my problem. While cleaning my files in my laptop, i accidentally delete my boot.ini so i encountered "ntdlr missing problem "press alt ctrl delete". I have my windows xp 98 cd & made a boot from there but it's asking for administrator password although i didn't have a password. So i given up on doing this stuff.

To keep my old files from losing i decided not to reformat my laptop since i didn't have any back up of it. So my friend & i decided to install windows 7, but whenever i watch movie from a dvd- rom i encountered some problem. The images goes blurred then eventually my laptop crashed. Diagnosis were:

Blue Screen Of Death

Running windows 7 professional, ie 8 - keep getting unexpected shutdowns with the following errors: 1) memory management and 2) pfn list corrupt. For the memory management error i have run the memory diagnostics and the results indicate that i have a hardware problem and i should contact the manufacturer (gateway). Unfortunately, i no longer have a warranty and they charge $60 for 1/2 hour. (I have spent that much and the technical support person didn't resolve my problem).

I don't have a clue as what pfn list corrupt is. Please note that i am not a tech person and all the reports(dumps) that vare generated are useless to me, since they are not clear to read.
I do run all my maintenance and antivirus programs daily and try to keep everything according to protocol. Yet i keep getting the blue screen of deaths. Please also note that i always get a window after the fact that reads: "windows has recovered from an unexpected shutdown. "

Questions:

1) if i purchase a new hard disk, would this take care of the problem or not?

2) does ram have anything to do with these errors? 3) what other alternatives are there?

Would appreciate solid guidelines and your enlightening me on the above resolution.

Blue Screen At Login

I bought my friend laptop after he came back from iraq cause he no longer wanted it. I was going threw changing the stuff to make it mine, like user name and what not. Well i tried to change the computer name as it was his name kebowlin-pc and it said to do this to restart the computer. I did, and now when the computer gets to windows 7 login screen it goes to the blue screen error. I have done two system restores with no luck. I have also tried changing the name back with now luck. This is what it is telling me.

Also a weird thing that i don't under stand is that the main user file is his name and it has a little lock on its pic in the user files, but i am the only person on the computer and the only admin.

Constant Blue Screen

I recently purchased a computer running windows 7 home premium 64-bit. Here are the basic specs.
Intel(r) core(tm) i5 cpu 750 @ 2. 67 ghz 8. 00gb ram

I bought this pc mainly for gaming (primarily steam, but i've been running games like dragon age: origins and cryostas is without the client). However, recently, every time i quit a game (or any program that's full screen, really) or attempt to change my resolution/display settings, i instantly get a blue screen. This can be at any time; i can boot the computer (which only take about 45-60 seconds) and instantly boot, for example, team fortress 2; and the second i quit it, i get the blue screen. Because of this i somehow doubt it has anything to do with overheating issues, but i myself wouldn't really know. Here's the error code that i receive upon windows' revival.

Blue Screen 0x1e

Well, i received a new computer about a month ago, and it's been running perfectly until today. I started it up and was customizing the dock when my virus program, mcafee, told me i needed to restart my computer because it had recently updated. After it rebooted, it ran fine until suddenly a blue screen popped up with some text on it. Sorry, but i didn't have time to read the text because it popped up and left so fast. I did get to read something about it needing to shutdown to protect data (i think), but that's about it.

Anyway, when it rebooted, it stopped in the middle of it and told me the unexpected shutdown caused some problems and told me that i might be able to recover my data if i started windows in safe mode, so i chose the regular safe mode and rebooted it. It started with the screen resolution in 800x600, and looked like windows 2000 with a few different things. The background was now this black screen with "safe mode" text in all four corners, and "microsoft" text centered on top of the screen. It opened up two things, one being a "what is safe mode" help window, and the other being some sort of error window telling me that "windows has recovered from an unexpected shutdown" and that windows could "check online for a solution to the problem the next time you go online. ' and then told me the error details.

After i had read all of it and copied the error details to a notepad file, i rebooted again hoping it'd turn back to normal. It started up again and is currently running normally without any problems, but i still want to know what happened, why, and how i could fix and/or prevent the issue from appearing in the future.

Blue Screen When Using Ie8

I get a bsod randomly when using ie8. Using bluescreen view i typically get the following info: a problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer. The problem seems to be caused by the following file: ntoskrnl.exedriver_corrupted_expool if this is the first time you've seen this stop error screen, restart your computer. If this screen appears again, follow these steps:check to make sure any new hardware or software is properly installed.

If this is a new installation, ask your hardware or software manufacturer for any windows updates you might need. If problems continue, disable or remove any newly installed hardware or software. Disable bios memory options such as caching or shadowing. If you need to use safe mode to remove or disable components, restart your computer, press f8 to select advanced startup options, and then
Select safe mode. Technical information:*** stop: 0x100000c5 (0x00000004, 0x00000002, 0x00000000, 0x82f2104d)*** ntoskrnl.exe - address 0x82f2104d base at 0x82e01000 datestamp 0x4c1c3faci could use some help in resolving this problem.

Blue Screen With Error D1

Blue screen with windows 7 i"ve been running windows 7 since it came out in october with no issues. Back in march after an update and reboot i've had restart after restart problems, many giving me different errors everytime. Sometimes i can load in safe mode, but it usually takes me rebooting 10 times to get there. I roll back to the previous update and seem to get restarted only to start the process all over again on another reboot. Some of the errors i've gotten are memory_management, or unknown hard error(systemootsystem32dll.dll), a usb driver error, page fault in non page area, e tc.

I haven't installed anything, and even tried a clean install and before i run any updates im getting restart errors again. I currently have all updates turned off so its not a new update thats causing this. Im ready to go back to windows xp im so frustrated. We run windows 7 on 4 other computers and we haven't had any issues so not sure why its just me. This is a copy of the latest error i received

My hard drives?Im computer literate but im no way some type of tech. I have basic computing knowledge and thats it. Blue Screen - Memory_management 0x1a

Ok so i turn on my computer and it starts up fine and either gets to the windows 7 splash or actually to the desktop where i can start up any of my programs or players, regardless of how far it goes i get a bsod, blue screen of death, and immediate restart and after the restart my windows works fine for the most part. Below is the information that i'm able to pull up about the problem.

So that we're clear about what i've done to fix the problem myself:
1) i reinstalled the os
2) i used a burned image of my then working os.
3) i've checked and removed an external hdd.
4) even checked and updated my bios for my mobo.

Still as i said below is the error information that get for this weird problem.
