Dvd Device Driver Blocked - Unable To Use Device Code 48

I get a code 48 message. I have an intel d945psn board that has run w2000 on a eide hard drive. I upgraded to windows 7 with a new sata hard drive clean install, but transferred files with pc mover. Now my dvd burner(s) don't work citing the infamous code 48 and saying that the software for this device has been blocked from starting because it is known to have problems with windows.

Aren't cd/dvd device drivers pretty standard, and included with the bios?  How do i deal with that problem. I have tried to update drivers through "driver access", but the problem persists. The device doesn't even show up in windows explorer or my computer, but can be seen in device manager and on the cmos menu. The same is true of my second, identical sata hard drive. It appears that some of my important system drivers have been blocked.

Software For This Device Has Been Blocked - Code 48

Can't find out where to download a dvd/cd-rom driver for windows 7 windows 7. My computer won't even pick up my dvd/cd-rom device. And it says it's actually up to date which is strange because it also says "the software for this device has been blocked from starting because it is known to have problems with windows.contact the hardware vendor for a new driver. (Code 48)".

Device Malfunctioned Error Code - 43 - Usb Device Not Recognized

I purchased a new computer with windows 7.initially my ipod worked fine with this computer. It still charges the ipod but nothing else. In addition it will not work on my old computer.

1. I have completely uninstalled and reinstalled itunes.

2. I reset the device losing all of my music.

3. I have gone to device manager and the ipod shows up as unkown device. I have stopped the device driver and rebooted.

4. I have tried to have attached to my old computer update and i receive the exact same error and usb not recognized message.

5. Other devices work fine on the usb hub, in addition i have tried the other usb hub.

All of the above measures have failed. This all started when i was having problems updating my music to the ipod, and i chose the restore function on the summary page of the itunes software, with the device attached, and recognized. Since then nothing? Initially when the device was attached after the restore option was chosen, i got need to attach to a 2. 0 usb  high speed hub, error message? It is a 2. 0 usb high speed device. I have reviewed other questions in this forum, on apples forums, all with the same results, nothing.

Missing Cd/dvd Device Driver

Win7 x64 boot disk results in "missing cd/dvd device driver ("a required cd/dvd drive device driver is missing)". I'm doing a full install (custom) of windows 7 from a nec3520a cd/dvd and a dvd burned from the downloaded (twice) student file for windows 7 x64.

I am unable to get past the point of having "no apparent" driver for my dvd. As stated earlier, after i click "install" on initial screen (this is after the "loading files" screen which runs for a couple of minutes loading win7 files), i get an error screen saying "missing cd/dvd drive driver", then directions to install a disk/dvd/whatever with the driver.

If i just click next, it looks for a driver, doesn't find it, and then offers me a selection menu for different drivers( all of which are blank, there are no drivers listed). I then have an option to "rescan" for updated hardware, i suppose, or "browse" to go find the driver.

I have, and can't get any sort of driver for my nec3520, which i've been using for a couple of years now; it's supported directly by windows built-in drivers. Nec doesn't even provide a driver, for 32 or 64 or anything. I suppose this whole thing has to do with my "custom" install from a bootable dvd of the x64 version, but i can't find any way to get around it.

Apple Mobile Device Driver Issue With Mtp Device Driver

How do i get windows 7 to accept the 'apple mobile device driver' instead of the 'mtp device driver'? It is driving me nuts! Frequent itunes sync issues occurring. Suggestion is that windows is treating as a camera instead of ipod which makes sense given it asks me if i want to import pictures each time i connect the ipod. I need to get it to update driver from mtp to apple mobile but cannot get it to do it as it keeps saying no compatible driver in the file.

Error - A Required Cd/dvd Drive Device Driver Is Missing

Windows 7 upgrade ultimate 64bit from windows vista home premium 64bit - error with "a required cd/dvd drive device driver is missing. I can see many posts for this problem, but the different solutions all confuse me. I am not a pc techie. I was trying to run windows 7 64bit ultimate upgrade from windows vista 64bit home premium on my pc. Before i ran windows 7 upgrade using the 64bit disk i bought from a retailer in sheffield england, i checked on the microsoft website and downloaded windows upgrade advisor.

This reported a number of minor issues, which i dealt with. It did not report any issue with my motherboard or cd/dvd device. I also downloaded easy transfer, but as i had recently rebuilt my pc i did not have many files to copy over so i have not yet used it. I have now rolled back the install, after getting very frustrated trying to obtain the "driver"some of the postings on the web suggest:buying an external usb cd/dvd device. I might do this and try again getting an update for ite it8211 ata/atapi controller driver - whatever that means usb install option involving ripping the disk into a iso image and then making a bootable usb stick.

Why on earth do i need to do this? Surely using a usb external dvd/cd device and putting into that the windows 7 upgrade disk will do the same job?More important what is an iso image? How do i create it? Why should i have to do this? This software has cost me gbp180. 00 when i bought it from currys retail store sheffield uk w/c jun 21st 2010, and i cannot get it to work. It is not at all satisfactory! I deliberately waited till now before buying to make sure a all the bugs were ironed out!

Obviously they are not!My pc was bought new from mesh in may 2009 and the build detail is:mesh desktop pc model xgs pii 955amd phenom ii x4 955 black quad core processor am3 3. 20ghz, 8mb cache ddr2/3asus m4a78-e mainboard amd 790gx hybrid crossfirex - am2+ phenom ii, ddr2- atx8192mb 800mhz dual channel ddr2 sdram2 x 750gb serial ata2 hard drive with 3mb buffer (1. 5tb) raid 0 configuration (stripe)samsung 22x dual layer dvd writer super format +r/-r/rw/ram this shows in device hardware as tsstcorp cddvdw sh-s223b scsi cdrom device.

The driver is located in c:windowssystem32driverscdrom.sys1gb ati hd4890 graphics accelerator hd 3300 gpu - hybrid crossfire xpcie gigabit lan controller featuring ai net 2 - asus m4a78 proi will also try to call microsoft support on 0844 800 2400 using access code 1233 when prompted. However, i wonder if anyone else who has had the same problem with a similar machine can advise how they sorted out the issue.

Setup Hangs - Required Cd/dvd Drive Device Driver Is Missing

Windows 7(ultimate) setup hangs: "a required cd/dvd drive device driver is missing. If you have a driver floppy disk, cd, dvd, or usb flash drive, please insert it now. " First my hardware i'm trying to get installed:

Gigabyte ga-ma790fxt-ud5p
4 wd5000aaks sata 500gb drives configured as raid5 connected to the sb750

When i start the setup, everything is fine until i hit "install now". Afterwards i'm delighted with 5-10 min. Of "setup is starting", which is followed by "a required cd/dvd drive device driver is missing. If you have a driver floppy disk, cd, dvd, or usb flash drive, please insert it now. "

After that i provide the "ahcix64s.sys" which is the proper sb750 raid driver.

I tried the versions from: http://america. Giga-byte.com/filelist/driver/motherboard_driver_raid_amd_sb7xx_bootdisk_win7-64bit.exe

And the one from amd: https://a248. E. Akamai.net/f/674/9206/0/www2. Ati.com/drivers/whql_sb7xx_raid_vista_3. 1. 1540. 127.zip

Both with the same result: "no device could be found. Make sure the driver files are correct and located on the driver installation media"

Just a side note: i'm installing from a usb flash drive, which has worked already, when i connect a single sata drive in ide mode to the gigabyte sata chip (jmb322); however this is not my desired config, i need to run the system from the raid.

Error - Windows Cannot Load Device Driver Code 31

Error "windows cannot load device driver code 31" with realtech lan port and pantech um175 usb. Just built a new deluxe windows 7 system two weeks ago. I loaded windows perfectly on may 5 . I also did a hardware disk driver update and everything worked great. Automatic security updates took place one week later on 05/12/10 and my realtech rtl8111dl lan port and my pantech um175 usb broadband model stopped working. Both say the driver is not installed or working.

I tried re-installing both multiple times without success. Occasionly the device manager will say invalid parameters. I can usually correct this type of thing but i can't get any internet connection device to function well enough to get connected for analysis or updates.

I have downloaded the latest drivers on another computer and tried them unsuccessfully. Each time i try to reinstall, the device gets one number higher. I am up to #5 behind the realtech lan controller name. I am out of ideas. Can you help. Thank you in advance!(Windows 7 ultimate 64 bit, biostar th55b-hd, i5-650 cpu, 4 gb ocz memory)

Unable To Load Device Driver Error Code 39

Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39) this applies to the generic disk drives not the dvd drivei am running windows vista service pack 2. For reasons unknown to me i got the error code 39 on my dvd drive and my generic disk drives after a reboot. I uninstalled the software i had just installed. Didn't change a thing. Anyway, i was able to go into the the registry and delete the upper and lower device filters for the cdrom and now have my dvd drive back. I tried running system restore and it won't work.

It completes ok. But says it encountered an error so could not restore the system (this is regardless of what date i chose to restore to). This is the second time this error 39 has happened to me and a system restore fixed it the first time. My hard drive is listed in with the drives with the error 39, but doesn't have the same error, although it uses the same drivers.

I know this is an issue with the registry. But i am leary about deleting the limits filtering for the generic drives for fear of losing my hard drive. Now, my question is: if i remove the upper and lower filters for the disk drives and reboot, am i going to hose my hard drive?

Error - Unknown Device - Usb Does Not Recognize Garmin Device

Just recently, windows 7 home premium addition has stopped detecting my garmin device. Other usb devices such as my ipod work fine. I was able to get it to detect the garmin only a few times, it would try to install the drivers but the drivers would fail to install. The garmin was working a few weeks ago. Below is a list of everything i have already tried:

Rebooting (after everything i try)
- Turning the computer off and leaving it unplugged overnight
- Completely uninstalling all drivers and software associated with the gamin.
- Manually installing drivers
- Uninstalling the unknown device and doing a search for new hardware
- Uninstalling the unknown device and doing a search for legacy hardware (this produces a device not functioning (code 10) error)
- Reverting back to a restore point before the last windows update

Please, any help would be very appreciated. I am decently computer savvy and have always been able to fix any problems that i have. This one has had me spinning my wheels for days.

Cd/dvd-rom Drive Device Drivers

So i'm trying to reinstall windows 7 after a long and bloody struggle with my motherboard (long story short, went to the field, sata controller died, got new sata controller, found out i might have possibly wiped my primary hdd, no backup) and after the "setup is starting. " Screen, it asks me for cd/dvd-rom device drivers. Seeing as i'm using a win7 disc to boot from, and it clearly read it enough to get here, and i highly doubt they even make cd-rom drive drivers anymore, i'm at a loss.
And for the record, the drive is a liteon ihos204 bd-rom. No other cd/dvd/bd-rom drives, either.
Thoughts? Opinions?

Usb Hub Displaying As Device In Device Manager

Pretty much all my device connected to my usb hub used to show in device manager as separate devices. However, they now only show under the name "kevin o'connor" (the name of my zune). Open the device's properties and going to the hardware tab will show all the device connected via the usb hub.

Therefore, all the devices do in fact work, it's just a little bothersome to me, and the fact that i can't safely remove anything from the hub without having to eject the entire hub. Here's a screen shot that shows what the hub shows as: http://i34. Tinypic.com/34fxmp4.png

I have recently upgraded from windows vista home premium to windows 7, the problem i am having is that my cd/dvd is no longer recognized by my laptop, oh yes i have an acer aspire 5720 laptop. There is now nothing showing when i open "my computer" just the hard disk drive info.

Device Cannot Start Code 10

I recently purchased windows 7 for home. I formatted the hard disk and did a full install. All works fine except there is no internet connectivity. 1) i identified that the network controller had no driver attached and in devices there was a yellow question mark. I loaded the broadcom 440x 10/100 driver found within windows 7 to receive the following message: "the device cannot start (code 10). How do i resolve this as i cannot seem to download this driver from anywhere and was reliant on the windows driver for this by the same name.

2) interestingly in devices there is a network adapter showing and that is working fine. I can't seem to identify what that is for and whether it is related to this problem. It shows up as an intel adapter.

3) i installed a dlink adapter for wireless and that does not show up anywhere.

The Drivers For This Device Are Not Installed (code 28)

Am receiving the following error for two devices on my system, a usb 2. 0 hub and a bluetooth adapter. I ran the mister fixit applet which recognized the error, tries to install the drivers and comes back with an error. The devices themselves work fine because the system dual boots to xp and windows 7 and when i boot in xp it discovers the devices and installs the drivers without a problem.

I have tried uninstalling the devices and re-running "scan for hardware changes" several time to no avail. Have also run sfc and it reported no errors. I would welcome any ideas or suggestions to help resolve this.

The mouse works well on other systems (xp) as we checked to ensure it was not the mouse. Uninstalled all the usb drivers, and unplugged any usb devices, restarted and windows 7 which reinstalled usb drivers. The driver installation reports successful installation on controllers and root hub however indicates a device failed at the end.
