Printer Driver For 64-bit Brother Mfc 9800 Printer

I can't get my brother mfc 9800 printer to work properly with windows 7 64 bit. It seems to work with my other vista machine but i can't find the ms updated printer driver that is theoretically installed in this hp touchsmart computer. I've tried all the worthless troubleshooting wizards and have come up with nothing.

Brother Mfc-8840d Printer Not Compatible

I have just installed windows 7 (32-bit) on my father's laptop computer. When i installed the software for his brother mfc-8840d printer, windows told me the software was not compatible. Checked brother's website and indeed, the brother mfc pro suite software is not compatible with windows 7. No problem, windows still installed the scanner driver and i can scan with the unit. However, the files created are in tif format. Windows only allows for saving in a few formats, including tif. Is there a way to configure the scanning feature in windows to save as a pdf file?

Brother Mfc 255cw Color Printer Problem

We've just purchased a new computer running windows 7. We attached our printer, it was detected and immediately configured. (It's a brother mfc -255cw color printer). We've used it for several weeks with no problems. Now, suddenly, it won't print and says it's because of a problem with the current printer setup (although as far as i can tell it hasn't changed at all).

I went to check the properties and got an error message and i tried to "find" the printer but got the error message: the active directory domain service was unavailable. (Although according to the computer control panel it is the currently installed, default printer). What's going on?

Brother Mfc-425cn Printer Problem To Print On Network

I do have a brother mfc-425cn printer and i cannot get it to print as network printer (which was no problem with windows xp). When installing windows 7 drivers, it has been found correctly and without problems in the network. The whole installation process worked fine. However the printer does not react, when i want to print s. Th. So i did the windows 7 troubleshoot. The following 2 problems are found but cannot be fixed automatically:

1)"printer brother mfc-425 usb printer cannot be contacted over the network" - "not fixed".

2) "problem with wireless adapter or access point" - "detected"

As i said the printer was found in the network without any problems during installation. I also have no problems to access other computers or the router in the network. Internet access is fine. So the whole network seems to work just fine, just the printer does not respond.

Brother Printer Mfc 420cn Pro Suite Will Not Work

Brother multi-function printer mfc-420cn pro suite will not work with windows 7 and brother says they have no fix! I can print only and but no longer scan my documents to pdf and brother customer service support says they do not have windows 7 drivers for this software so just have to wait and see or buy a new printer. Mine is only 2 years old so hoping someone out there has an idea or if having same problem, maybe if enough people complain, they will come up with the fix.

Brother Mfc-8440 Scanner Driver Win 7 X64

I installed a new pc with windows 7. My printer is a brother mfc-8440 connected via usb. Brother does not have windows 7 drivers for this mfc, but the built-in windows 7 printer driver works ok. Printing works just fine. My problrem has to do with scanning. Windows 7 also has a built-in scanner (imaging) driver. However, i have 2 problems with it:a) it won't scan to pdf. I can overcome this with a 3rd party scanner utility (pdf converter, paperport, etc). This one i'm ok with since 3rd party software works. B) it seems the driver does not include legal size paper (8. 5 x 14) in the list of supported paper sizes. I'm unable to scan a legal size document using the windows 7 utility (or 3rd party software). Since the problem is present in both programs, i'm guessing it has to do with the windows 7 driver.

I found a suggestion to use the xp x64 driver from brother and install it under compatibility mode. I attempted this, but get an error message from brother that says "this driver is meant for a different os version. "Please help while this is the only problem i'm having with the move from an old xp machine to windows 7, it's a major hassle because i frequently need to scan legal size docs and send them in pdf format (as you can guess, i work in a legal office).

Hp Deskjet 9800 Printer Errors

Error messages-some postscript specific settings(interpolation, calibration, encoding) will be ignored since you are printing to a non post script printer. -Result print of 1/2 inch of 4 by 6 print, print about 25% of specified size, no print etc.

On hp932 and hp deskjet 9800. Error message, incompatible ink cartridges- even though using original hp60 cartridges supplied with printer at purchase and they worked for maybe 40 pages printing text only. Hp9800 and hp932 printers, hp scanjet 4470 all worked perfectly well on old windows me- i know they're old, but are there no fixes for these issues for a computer user without great technical knowledge. Or is the cure the dumpster for all my old peripherals?

Dell 962 Printer Driver For 64-bit

I am trying to download what the windows 7 site lists asthe compatible driver for a dell 962 printer on my home pc. The printer gets listed as an optional printer, and i can view the printer defaults for page size, etc. And can send docs and emails to it to print, but they fail immediately to print. Is there a step i am missing to get the printer to work for output? Using the windows update catalog, i stall and the screen which offers the option to specify location to place download. Clicking the browse button to exercise this option does nothing even if i wait several minutes.

Dell does not have a windows & driver posted on its site, and i have tried the vista 64-bit driver to see if it will work. That gets me a little further, but not completely where i want to be.

Printer Sharing - 64-bit Win 7 And 32-bit Xp In Remote Desktop Session

Printer sharing - 64 bit windows 7 and 32 bit windows xp in a remote desktop session. Windows 7 machine with a local ricoh / aficio 1045 b & w multifunction printer attached. Works fine, uses 64 bit printer driver. This computer connects to a windows xp machine (32 bit) using remote desktop session (terminal services).

On the xp machine, i installed the 64 bit printer driver via printers and faxes -> server properties - drivers - add driver. I can see the driver there, successfully installed (have rebooted, etc). Despite this, the printer will still not show up when rd session is run. In event viewer, i can see there's an issue with it finding the correct driver.

I've used the terminal server printer redirection tool in the past to solve these problems (tspdrw.exe) which works great. The correct 64 bit driver is not listed as a choice when scrolling through options to reassign the driver. Hopefully that is clear, not sure what i am missing.

Cannot Connect To 32-bit Shared Printer From Win 7 64-bit

I'm running win2003 server (32-bit) and sharing a lexmark printer. I can't connect my 64-bit win7 pro client to the printer. I know the share is ok and my rights are fine because i can print from winxp clients using the same login. How the heck can i get this to work other than by connecting the printer directly to the win7 client and thus leaving my winxp clients out of luck?

Error Printer Sharing - Xp 32-bit To Win7 32-bit

I've recently installed windows 7 (32 bit) and i tried sharing my printer (which is connected to my windows xp 32 bit pc). Previously, i successfully did printer sharing on my vista (32 bit) system before it got upgraded to windows 7. However, when attempting to share the printer, i get the 0x0000000d error.

My printer: canon ip4680 pixma

What steps i did
On xp computer
- Right clicked on printer, clicked on "share" and gave it a name
- "Additional drivers" section has windows xp checked. I don't see a row for vista or win 7

On win 7 computer
- Clicked on "add printer"
- Saw and found my shared printer on my xp computer
- Double clicked to add printer
- Passed the "finding drivers" stage
- Reached the "finalizing installation" stage
- After about 10 seconds, the error message pops up

I have already reinstalled my win 7 driver and updated my xp driver to the latest version (v2. 20) [which can be found at http://support-sg.]. I also tried the solution at but to no avail.

Printer On Win 7 64-bit, Need To Access From Vista 32-bit

Printer on windows 7 64bit, need to access from windows vista 32 bit, wireless laptop over home network. I have a home network set up with a wireless router, 2 pcs hard-wired to the router, and a laptop connected via wireless connection to the router. The windows 7 pc has a lexmark 2690 printer connected to it via usb port, and the printer is shared to the network. The wireless laptop uses windows vista 32 bit, and the other wired pc is xp (32 bit) sp2.

I can connect the xp machine to the shared printer via setting up a "local port" using the host computer name and shared printer name in the port setup just fine. But, when i set up a "local port" connection on the vista laptop (wireless), any attempts to print result in an "access denied" error. If i try to access the printer via a "network printer" connection on the laptop, it does not allow the connection to be made at all.

Are there any suggestions on how to make a 32 bit vista wireless laptop connect to a shared printer on a windows 7 pc on the same home network?

Printing From 32-bit Xp To Printer Attached To 64-bit Win 7

We have upgraded our main network resource to a 64 bit machine running windows 7. When older 32 bit boxes running xp pro try to send print jobs to the central printer the xp box asks for an inf file. We have reloaded the canon drivers for the xp 32 bit box with no luck as it states it is still missing the driver. Tried to load 64 bit printer driver and the xp box rejected as 64 bit. The windows 7 box will print to the canon printer.

Nvidia 9800 Gt Video Driver Crashes

I have downloaded and installed the latest, within the last two weeks, driver and it still crashes at least once or twice a day. I am running win 7 64 bit with 8 gigs of ram and plenty of hard drive space. When my machine reboots and it goes for the windows solution it won't even complete that part saying that i need to be connected to the internet. I am on a wifi constant connection and i leave everything on 24/7/365. I do reboot from time to time when loading software or for other reasons but this is ridiculous. If win 7 was designed by me it would fix these problems not run me around in circles.

Share Printer From Xp 32-bit To Win7 64-bit

Can i share a printer from windows xp 32 to a windows 7 64?, I am trying to share my hp laserjet 2605dn that is connected to my desktop(windows xp pro 32bit) through usb to my other desktop(windows 7 home 64). The problem i am having is when i go to the computer that is running windows 7 and i try to add the printer already share in the other computer, it pops up a windows asking for the right driver.

So look for the hp driver for windows 7 64 bit version and unzip the files in both desktop but when i try to choose the right one neither file on the folder works. So my question is can i share a printer install on a win xp pro 32 through usb across my network to a win 7 64 os? If yes how?

Printer Sharing Among 32-bit And 64-bit Systems

I have upgraded to windows 7 32bit. When i installed vista, i first tried the 64bit version, but found i could not share my connected printer across the network with a 32bit system. I could not install 32 bit drivers on my 64 bit system to enable other work group members to use my printer, and of course, could not install 64 bit drivers on a 32 bit system. Now that i have upgraded to windows 7, will i face a similar issue if i install the 64 bit version?
