Random Bsods - Event 41, Task 63

I am experiencing intermittent bsod crashes. The crashes do not correspond to high levels of activity, high operating temperatures or any other pattern that i can perceive. If anything, they occur most frequently shortly (seconds) after bootup or while the system is idle. The system is not overclocked. I have the latest bios available from msi and the latest optical drive, ethernet, gpu, and audio drivers.

(A side note on the ethernet driver. The latest version available from realtek's website is 7. 11. 1127. update recommended an update to the driver which i installed on feb. 6. This driver version was 7. 12. 128. 2009. I have experienced bsods with both versions of the driver. Currently i'm running realtek's latest version as i'm unclear how microsoft could have a more up-to-date version than the manufacturer. )

I have already tested the ram using memtest86. I've run in excess of 16 passes without returning any errors. I've also tested the hard drive using the manufacturer's diagnostic utility and chkdsk /r /f. Hard drive checks out fine. I've stress tested the system using prime95 and seti@home and the system has not shown any tendency to crash during stress testing. I've also run system file checker. It does not return any errors.

I've posted the minidump files here:

I've posted the event logs here:

The critical events (which i assume are the bsod events) all run along these lines:

I've been recently experiencing random computer lock ups and bsod's after fresh installing windows 7 professional 64-bit system. In addition, i did the fresh install twice, just to see if it was a bad install. I did not have any problems, while running the same setup under windows xp professional.

All my drivers have been updated to the most current one, either from windows update, or directly from the product manufacturer's website.

These are the messages i get in event viewer.

Event Id 41 Task 63 Error

Since installing win7, home premium, 64bit, on a computer (6 days ago) i have been getting this error initially used with win xp with no issues-this problem occurred after upgrading memory from 4 gb to 8 gb and installing win7 clean install. Memory passed memory test so i don't think the memory addition is the problem. Early instances involved bsod while running but after running system file checker which found and corrected errors i have not seen the bsod. Now the problem shows up on a cold start after what appeared to be a normal shut down.

Here is data:

Frequent Bsods

I have been having frequent bsod's, usually occurring during startup, or just after startup. Event viewer usually displays the following error:event id 1001 the computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x00000050 (0x961a0000, 0x00000000, 0x82a927f3, 0x00000000).

A dump was saved in: c:windowsmemory.dmp. Report id: 071910-18704-01. The blue screen itself usually says page_fault_in_nonpaged_area, i've ran memtest with no errors, updated all drivers, updated bios to latest.

I can upload the dump at request. Pc specs:motherboard: m3a78-cmcpu: amd 9950 memory: 4gb (2x2gb) corsair 800mhz 5-5-5-18graphics card 9600gtpsu: 450w corsair windows 7 (although it used to have blue-screens at startup on xp too) any help is appreciated.

Bsods Under System Load

So, there is my problem, i regularly have blue screens under heavy load (games almost). I tested with different tests all the hardware (ram, vga, cpu, ) each one separate don't come to system crash, but when all work together, like playing games, it crashes later or earlier. Its not power problem too. I guess its problem with vga card driver because i found over google many to say have similar problems. Really there is only one thing to do, reinsert ad-in cards, ram and vga, that's what i didn't do so far.

Anyway there my spec:
Os: win 7 x64
Cpu: e6850 @ 3. 6ghz
Mb: msi p35 platinum
Ram: ocz platinum 800mhz (fsb:ram 1:1)
Vga: asus hd4870x2
Power: chieftech 1200w

Earlier i worked with "win xp x86" and "win7 x64 beta", i really like win7 and thinking about buying it, decided to test not beta and get fresh install with 30 day trial without activation. But how can i buy it, if it all the time bsod's? Earlier windows worked perfectly. Down there is one of typical bug code, but there is other too, one i remember is 0x7e.

Ram Stick Error - Bsods

I built myself a computer about 2 months ago and it has worked perfectly up until 2 days ago! A bsod appeared with the reason being "irlq_. " So i restarted the machine. Worked fine for another little while. Then another bsod but this time with the description "memory_management". Same thing again. Restarted. Then like 30 seconds after windows booting another bsod. But this time saying "atimdag.sys" so it restarted again. This time it freezes and the screen just turns into a load of white lines!

So anyway. Took the cables and components out and reseated everything but the same thing happens! Have deleted the partition and formatted it then reinstalled the os (windows 7 rc) about 3 times now. Still having the same problem!

Have updated the drivers and flashed the bios with the latest release. Still nothing!

The funny thing is when i take out one of the 2gb sticks. It works perfectly fine! I have run memtest and windows diagnostics on both sticks on there own. And together. In every slot config you can think of! When i first ran the tests, it did freeze on me a couple times. So not sure if it found an error or not. However have run the tests many times since on both and on there own and different configs. And no errors were found!

What is annoying however is that it was working for like 2 months before this? It was just a blank machine. I had not installed anything new. Not changed/updated anything. Nothing was different! I am getting so annoyed with myself and the machine.

Cannot Perform Any Administrator Task

Alright, i am running 32bit win 7 pro os. It was working almost great until now i see these messages everytime i do any administrative action like install, uninstall or run any application. "The filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect""the system administrator has set policies to prevent this installation. ""You do not have sufficient access to uninstall . Application""an unexpected error has occurred. The troubleshooting wizard cannot continue"i cannot connect to the internet.

I cannot uninstall/install any application i cannot run most of the applications. I cannot run regedit.exe. I cannot even run on safe mode (by pressing f8)  i cannot turn on my firewall. I just cannot do any thing. I am in a software jail. I looked many things on the website but could not find anything that can solve my problems. I ran mcafee and everything is coming out clean. I can access my data though. How can i solve these problems without reinstalling windows 7.

Display, Task Manager

Okay, so i somehow changed the look of my task manager and now it doesn't help me with anything. It was the regular task manager when i bought it then one day it was just different. The only thing that it shows when i go to task manager after (ctrl, alt, del) is (headings at the top) user, id, status, client name, session. Thats all it shows as headings at the top. Then at the bottom it has two buttons, disconnect, log-off. When i try and right click to get more options it only shows disconnect or log-off as options.

Task Manager Does Not Start

When i try to start the task manager by right clicking the activity bar and selecting start task manager i get an error saying the taskmgr.exe file can not be found. The path suggested is c:windowssystem32askmgr.exe. When looking in that folder the file is there.

If i do ctrl-alt-delete and select to start it from there i get returned to the previous screen without task manager or error. Ctrl-shift-esc has no effect.

I've tried running a copy of the taskmgr.exe that worked on another computer running 64-bit windows 7. I am running a 64-bit windows 7 on intel core2 quad (q8300) any ideas?

Task Scheduler Under Administrator Tools

When i go into the task scheduler a message box appears which states "task background configsurveyor: the task image is corrupt or has been tampered with", when you click on the ok button it disappears, but it is comes up everytime you go into task scheduler. There no error code. I found a blogger who had a similar problem, but the instruction to fix it was for windows vista. I tried to follow the instructions and could not find the 'user_feed_synchronization' so i stopped. Is there a fix for windows 7 home edition, 32bit

Task Manager Not Showing Options

There is no meters, nothing. I can't check my ram usage or cpu usage or anything. Error messages. I get a pop up every time i restart asking me what program i want to use to open the pop up. So i open it in notebook and it says it's something about my real-tech network device. And something about a loop. Recent changes you made to your computer. What you have already tried to fix the problem. I've tried to reset it following some advice on line but i just get the pop up now and it still doesn't work.

Using Task Scheduler To Send An Email

How to use task scheduler to send an email? I have windows live mail + windows 7 i want my computer to send an email to someone on it's own. I opened task scheduler and created a new task using task scheduler to 'send and email'. The problem is that the program only asks me who it's to, who the email is from and what smtp server to use. It doesn't ask for my mail server log-in and username so in theory it would fail. And when it comes to send the message, currently it doesn't do anything without any error message. I have 2 email accounts setup in windows live mail but how do i tell the task scheduler program which email account to use and how to login to the account to send it?

Task Manager Can't Log Off User

I have windows 7 home premium with three accounts on it. Frequently someone else uses one of two the standard account on it and locks it down, i come along and log in with my administrators and log in and try to kill off their session. When i run task manager, highlight the standard account and then click logoff i get an error message user amy (sessionid=1) could not be logged off. Access is denied.

I've tried running task-manager from the system32 folder as administrator (even though my account is administrator) but i still get the same message. The amy (the standard user account) at this point shows in task manager as disconnected. How can i log of the other two users without re-booting please?

Issue: Cannot Perform Any Task Using One Of The User Accounts

I've just installed windows 7 ultimate on an acer veriton m410. When logged in as administrator, the computer works without any problems. If i log in under my user name, there are several problems that take place. The first issue i noticed is i cannot explore "my computer. " I simply get an empty window and an icon indicating the computer is busy. Eventually, i get an error message that windows explorer needs to be restarted. I am not able to check the contents of my hard drive. In addition, when i try to log off from my user account, the computer stays on the log off screen continuously, and never logs me off. Again, if i am logged in as administrator, i have no problem logging off and shutting down the computer. Ny ideas how i can fix this?

Multiple Instances Of Explorer.exe Running In Task Manager

There are multiple instances of explorer.exe running in task manager (currently 7), each one using between 10-40mb of memory. I've never seen this in any previous version, and it doesn't look right to me. Different explorer.exe processes are using cpu resources at different times. I remember reading a while back that this could be a sign of a virus, but i've done a full scan with nis 2010 and nothing showed up. Can anyone give me pointers where to start investigating?

I did a clean install of windows 7 last friday -formatted hdd and all, so there hasn't been much time for anything bad to happen!

Hard Drive Smart Event / Failure

I recently upgraded from vista home premium (shipped with dell computer in 2007) to windows 7 ultimate. Whole upgrade process went fine, except that when i restarted, i continue to receive an error from the intel matrix storage console that my hard drive is reporting a smart event and may soon fail. I am also receiving a windows dialog box "hard disk error". I ran a check disk on it said windows removed multiple (over 10) bad clusters.

Then i ran an sfc scannow command and got no integrity violations. My concern is that i really don't think this is a bad drive. Everything was just fine before the windows 7 upgrade. I went under device mgr and checked to make sure that the intel matrix storage console had a current driver, it is listed as version 8. 6. 2. 1012. I clicked "update driver" and it said it was current. I have a samsung sp2504c hard-drive. At this point i don't know how to proceed.

Event Files Showing Up On Hard Drive

Occasionally, a file with the extension ". Event" will show up on my hard drive. Sometimes, it only shows up in one directory, sometimes it shows up in every directory on my hard drive. I can't figure out which piece of software is creating these files, or what they're used for -they are 0 bytes, containing absolutely nothing. Right now i'm doing a periodic search and destroy for these files, but i'd really like to know what is creating them, and how to stop them from being created. Does anyone have any idea what these files are, or what application is creating them?

System Event Notification Service Message

For the last 3 weeks when i turn my laptop on i get the message "windows could not connect to the system event notification service service. This problem prevents limited users from logging on to the system. As an administrative user, you can review the system event log for details about why the service didn't respond. " The message disappears once i start using the laptop.

This message started appearing after a windows update, but it is not possible to do a system restore to undue that update any more. I don't have any other user accounts and i am running windows 7. As suggested by a moderator on this site, i opened cmd as an administrator, typed "netsh winsock reset" in the command prompt shell and, after it was accepted, re-started the computer. However, the message still appears. Does anybody have any other advice to get rid of this annoying message?
