World Of Warcraft Error Blue Screen 116

I just ran into this issue today after building my computer roughly 3 years ago. I was running two wows, one maximized on each screen as i normally do. I clicked my mouse on the right screen and everything went greenish and froze. Ctrl alt delete did not work, no mouse , nothing. So i rebooted. Original title: lockup + bsod when starting world of warcraft. Now each time i boot wow up, it freezes at the login screen. The screen freezes over like a dirty nintendo game. It takes about 4 minutes for wow to close and that can either lead to a bsod, or to the desktop. When it bsod's, the error i receive when i reboot is below:

Blue Screen - Bccode Errors Start With 3b, 24, 11, 1

I have a computer that's been running vista completely fine for two years. I bought a new sata hard drive and installed windows 7 on it, removing the hard drive that had vista on it. With 7, i'm getting bluescreen errors two or three times a day, each one with a different bccode and error report. Windows and my own knowledge led me to believe it was a ram issue, so i did some troubleshooting (i've had ram go bad before) with swapping out sticks and running memory tests, with no difference detected. I was getting bluescreens regardless of which memory stick i used.

I've since put back in the drive with vista and taken out the drive with 7 and all of my hardware works fine. I have no idea what's causing 7 to crash constantly on this system. Does the cmos need to be cleared? Is there some memory somewhere that's corrupting everything? Not to mention when i install 7 it gets me all the updated drivers. I've troubleshot a computer before, but i'm totally lost with this one. Some bccode errors start with: 3b, 24, 11, and 1. Those are the ones i can remember right now.

I would really appreciate help diagnosing my computer. I was getting bsods periodically with no apparent pattern except it would occur shortly after boot-up or wake-up. It is happening all the time now. I am able to go into safe mode without any problems.

Startup Error With Bccode 116

It seems i have run into a so called "blue screen of death" error. However, what happened to me does not fit any of the descriptions i've found around the forum, so i'm posting my own question.couple of hours ago, my computer booted normally. However, after a couple of minutes it crashed after booting op google chrome. There was no response from mouse or keyboard. When restarted, there was the option to start windows in safe mode or start it normally. When chosen to start it in safe mode, everything works fine. Safe mode with networking works too, as i'm typing this while in safe mode. However, if i try to start the windows normally, i get the blue screen. I've tried to run startup repair, but that hasn't produced any results.

I have noticed that my initial startup screen (some picture from the manufacturer of my motherboard) had odd, thin, dotted lines running vertically on the left side of my screen. Also, the blue screen had some wider lines similar to those. I'm running windows 7, professional edition, 64-bit.

Blue Screen - Driver_power_state_failure

I have owned windows 7 for about 5 months now. I upgraded to windows 7 professional from windows xp home edition. I also upgraded to 4gb of ram. Since then, i have, at random times, received the blue screen of death and then my computer quickly shuts down and reboots. I haven't bothered with getting it fixed because it wasn't too much of a problem for me, but now it seems to be recurring a lot more often. I have already had it happen twice today.

However, sometimes it is not always a blue screen, it may just turn black, shut off, and reboot. When it is a blue screen i notice it says driver_power_state_failurealso note that whenever this problem happens, i am always on internet explorer 8, not doing anything out of the ordinary either. My computer just gets these screens at random times. I have looked at other topics in this forum for the answer, but it has been difficult finding a solution.

Blue Screen Problem

I been lurking around here for sometime hoping to find some answers to my problem. While cleaning my files in my laptop, i accidentally delete my boot.ini so i encountered "ntdlr missing problem "press alt ctrl delete". I have my windows xp 98 cd & made a boot from there but it's asking for administrator password although i didn't have a password. So i given up on doing this stuff.

To keep my old files from losing i decided not to reformat my laptop since i didn't have any back up of it. So my friend & i decided to install windows 7, but whenever i watch movie from a dvd- rom i encountered some problem. The images goes blurred then eventually my laptop crashed. Diagnosis were:

Blue Screen Of Death

Running windows 7 professional, ie 8 - keep getting unexpected shutdowns with the following errors: 1) memory management and 2) pfn list corrupt. For the memory management error i have run the memory diagnostics and the results indicate that i have a hardware problem and i should contact the manufacturer (gateway). Unfortunately, i no longer have a warranty and they charge $60 for 1/2 hour. (I have spent that much and the technical support person didn't resolve my problem).

I don't have a clue as what pfn list corrupt is. Please note that i am not a tech person and all the reports(dumps) that vare generated are useless to me, since they are not clear to read.
I do run all my maintenance and antivirus programs daily and try to keep everything according to protocol. Yet i keep getting the blue screen of deaths. Please also note that i always get a window after the fact that reads: "windows has recovered from an unexpected shutdown. "

Questions:

1) if i purchase a new hard disk, would this take care of the problem or not?

2) does ram have anything to do with these errors? 3) what other alternatives are there?

Would appreciate solid guidelines and your enlightening me on the above resolution.

Blue Screen At Login

I bought my friend laptop after he came back from iraq cause he no longer wanted it. I was going threw changing the stuff to make it mine, like user name and what not. Well i tried to change the computer name as it was his name kebowlin-pc and it said to do this to restart the computer. I did, and now when the computer gets to windows 7 login screen it goes to the blue screen error. I have done two system restores with no luck. I have also tried changing the name back with now luck. This is what it is telling me.

Also a weird thing that i don't under stand is that the main user file is his name and it has a little lock on its pic in the user files, but i am the only person on the computer and the only admin.

Constant Blue Screen

I recently purchased a computer running windows 7 home premium 64-bit. Here are the basic specs.
Intel(r) core(tm) i5 cpu 750 @ 2. 67 ghz 8. 00gb ram

I bought this pc mainly for gaming (primarily steam, but i've been running games like dragon age: origins and cryostas is without the client). However, recently, every time i quit a game (or any program that's full screen, really) or attempt to change my resolution/display settings, i instantly get a blue screen. This can be at any time; i can boot the computer (which only take about 45-60 seconds) and instantly boot, for example, team fortress 2; and the second i quit it, i get the blue screen. Because of this i somehow doubt it has anything to do with overheating issues, but i myself wouldn't really know. Here's the error code that i receive upon windows' revival.

Blue Screen 0x1e

Well, i received a new computer about a month ago, and it's been running perfectly until today. I started it up and was customizing the dock when my virus program, mcafee, told me i needed to restart my computer because it had recently updated. After it rebooted, it ran fine until suddenly a blue screen popped up with some text on it. Sorry, but i didn't have time to read the text because it popped up and left so fast. I did get to read something about it needing to shutdown to protect data (i think), but that's about it.

Anyway, when it rebooted, it stopped in the middle of it and told me the unexpected shutdown caused some problems and told me that i might be able to recover my data if i started windows in safe mode, so i chose the regular safe mode and rebooted it. It started with the screen resolution in 800x600, and looked like windows 2000 with a few different things. The background was now this black screen with "safe mode" text in all four corners, and "microsoft" text centered on top of the screen. It opened up two things, one being a "what is safe mode" help window, and the other being some sort of error window telling me that "windows has recovered from an unexpected shutdown" and that windows could "check online for a solution to the problem the next time you go online. ' and then told me the error details.

After i had read all of it and copied the error details to a notepad file, i rebooted again hoping it'd turn back to normal. It started up again and is currently running normally without any problems, but i still want to know what happened, why, and how i could fix and/or prevent the issue from appearing in the future.

Blue Screen When Using Ie8

I get a bsod randomly when using ie8. Using bluescreen view i typically get the following info: a problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer. The problem seems to be caused by the following file: ntoskrnl.exedriver_corrupted_expool if this is the first time you've seen this stop error screen, restart your computer. If this screen appears again, follow these steps:check to make sure any new hardware or software is properly installed.

If this is a new installation, ask your hardware or software manufacturer for any windows updates you might need. If problems continue, disable or remove any newly installed hardware or software. Disable bios memory options such as caching or shadowing. If you need to use safe mode to remove or disable components, restart your computer, press f8 to select advanced startup options, and then
Select safe mode. Technical information:*** stop: 0x100000c5 (0x00000004, 0x00000002, 0x00000000, 0x82f2104d)*** ntoskrnl.exe - address 0x82f2104d base at 0x82e01000 datestamp 0x4c1c3faci could use some help in resolving this problem.

Bluetooth Causes Blue Screen

I installed a usb bluetooth adapter today on my toshiba laptop running windows 7, and i have been getting consistent blue screen errors since the install. The computer generally starts fine, but shortly after log in (2-10 minutes) i get a blue screen error. Blue Screen With Error D1

Blue screen with windows 7 i"ve been running windows 7 since it came out in october with no issues. Back in march after an update and reboot i've had restart after restart problems, many giving me different errors everytime. Sometimes i can load in safe mode, but it usually takes me rebooting 10 times to get there. I roll back to the previous update and seem to get restarted only to start the process all over again on another reboot. Some of the errors i've gotten are memory_management, or unknown hard error(systemootsystem32dll.dll), a usb driver error, page fault in non page area, e tc.

I haven't installed anything, and even tried a clean install and before i run any updates im getting restart errors again. I currently have all updates turned off so its not a new update thats causing this. Im ready to go back to windows xp im so frustrated. We run windows 7 on 4 other computers and we haven't had any issues so not sure why its just me. This is a copy of the latest error i received

My hard drives?Im computer literate but im no way some type of tech. I have basic computing knowledge and thats it. Blue Screen - Memory_management 0x1a

Ok so i turn on my computer and it starts up fine and either gets to the windows 7 splash or actually to the desktop where i can start up any of my programs or players, regardless of how far it goes i get a bsod, blue screen of death, and immediate restart and after the restart my windows works fine for the most part. Below is the information that i'm able to pull up about the problem.

So that we're clear about what i've done to fix the problem myself:
1) i reinstalled the os
2) i used a burned image of my then working os.
3) i've checked and removed an external hdd.
4) even checked and updated my bios for my mobo.

Still as i said below is the error information that get for this weird problem.

Blue Screen Error - Bugcode_usb_driver

I just purchased a brand new computer (hp, desktop) in november, with windows 7 home premium already installed. I haven't had any problems and love the new operating system. But starting the other day, a blue screen pops out of nowhere with a bugcode_usb_driver error. It has happened four times so far. I've never ran into a problem like this before and have no clue on where to begin. I'd greatly appreciate any help to resolve this issue.

I've had a couple of identical blue-screens on my pc in the last few days. I'm slightly concerned as the last time this happened it was a precursor to my video card effectively melting. I've picked up the error report in action centre action centre and they're copied below. Anyone got any ideas what's causing the problem?

Blue Screen Error 100000b8

Okay ive had my laptop for eight months (got it for christmas) and im on it constantly. Tonight i was playing a game when a blue screen popped up and said something about a minidump ( unfortunately i cant really remember what the blue screen said i saw crash and mini_dump and freaked) luckily everything started up fine, everything loaded and i got this message:

Problem event name: bluescreen

Os version: 6. 1. 7600. 2. 0. 0. 768. 3

Locale id: 1033

Afterwards i got on the internet and looked it up, one site mentioned i might have had it overworked before. It was slow, i had had about 5 or 6 tabs open, plus 2 other programs and a sims game. I had closed out all the internet pages (the back button had quit working- i had to use the drop down arrow to go back) when i brought the sims game up it was really slow and took awhile for the objects to load. Thats when the blue thing popped up.

Help please! What did i do? What do i need to do? Is my laptop fixing to go kaput?

P. S. : Also, this was the first time its happened.

Upgrade, Blue Screen, Rollback

Blue-screen details:

Reference_by_pointer

*** Stop: 0x00000018 (0x00000000, 0x8647d030, 0x00000002, 0xffffffff)

Collecting data for crash dump.
Initializing disk for crash dump.
Physical memory dump failed with status 0xc0000001.

I am attempting to upgrade vista ultimate x86 to windows 7 ultimate x86. The upgrade is being undertaken while online to the internet, so the latest updates to the upgrade process are downloaded.

This blue-screen occurs on the very last line of the upgrade progress screen, after the boot into windows 7 and while drivers are being installed in setup phase 4. The failure to produce a crash dump limits my ability to diagnose what is responsible for the crash. A roll-back to vista follows.

The system has a gigabyte ga-k8nsnxp-939 motherboard, f14b bios (latest), 4gb ram, amd athlon 64 fx-53 processor, nforce3 ultra chipset, nvidia geforce 7950 gt graphics, creative sb audigy 2 zs sound card, 2x sata hard disks, smart link modem card. All drivers are up to date in vista.

The last significant lines in setupact. Log are:

2010-03-20 17:55:35, info sysprp sppnp: reinstalling devices on the system.
2010-03-20 17:55:36, info sysprp status: starting.

And the last actual lines are:

2010-03-20 17:56:34, info sysprp status: active
2010-03-20 17:56:34, info sysprp status: total = 182, complete = 94, progress = 51% (51%)

The last lines in setupapi. Dev. Log are:

>>> [Setup online device install (hardware initiated) - acpipnp08003&13c0b0c5&0]
>>> Section start 2010/03/20 17:56:36. 796
Ump: creating install process: drvinst.exe 17:56:36. 796
Ndv: retrieving device info.
Ndv: setting device parameters.
Ndv: searching driver store and device path.

This is followed by random corrupt characters as presumably the log file had not been properly flushed to disk when the blue-screen occurred. Also, i have to stress that this data was different every time the upgrade failed (i have tried about 5 times so far), so no great reliance can be placed on the particular device identified here: it is just an indication of progress.

Every iteration of the attempted upgrade, failure, and roll-back takes over 2 hours. I shall welcome any serious suggestions as to what further i can do to diagnose and eliminate whatever problem is causing the blue-screen and preventing an upgrade to windows 7.
