Cannot Run Premiere Pro Cs4

I also have had problems with adobe programs. Adobe helped with ps, dream-weaver & flash but cannot get premiere pro to work (or reader). Get error message: adobe premiere pro was unable to communicate with the process "importerprocessserver. " Restarting your computer may fix this problem. Restarting does not fix. I have a brand new computer (november) with windows 7. Have had nothing but problems. I have removed and reinstalled a number of times. Tried to run in compatible xp service pack 3 but won't work.

Premiere Pro Cs3 Program Problem

I tried it out with win7 beta for 2 months, with win 7 rc for 5 months, and it seems to work fine, but now i bought win 7 prof 64 bit, and win7 is shutting down premiere pro cs3 at least twice a day. Telling me it is not responding. I loose all my work. Normally premier pro cs3 if it encounters a problem will shut down and do save my work, but not in the retail version. Win7 does not give me the option on continue running the program. Win7 shuts down programs that seem to work fine, but when windows media player, mostly with mp4 video is not responding any more for over 10 minutes, windows will not shut it down, you have to force the shutdown. Is there something i can do or change?

Specific Module Could Not Be Found Using Adobe Cs4

I've tried a lot of fixes for this but i still keep getting this message "the specific module could not be found. C:program filescommon filesadobeadobe version cue cs4client4. 0. 1versioncue.dll" whenever i try to right click on the desktop or into any folder. The only way of accessing the properties is through the organize option.

Fixes tried:

http://kb2. Adobe.com/cps/408/kb408524.html

The above mentioned article includes the fix for this problem but its still coming up with the same error. I've run adobe update etc that mentioned in the article. I've also performed system restore as this problem is caused by the latest adobe updates for cs4

Please provide me a solution or the ultimate solution would be to re-install the operating system. But i would want to get it fixed without performing osri.

Visual Studio 2005 Pro Compatibility With Win 7 Pro 64-bit

Can i use visual studio 2005 pro on windows 7 pro 64 bit? I use visual studio 2005 pro on xp pro 32 bit. Can i use it on windows 7 pro 64 bit?I have looked on the vs site and could not find a definitive answer to using this version on my new os. I know, they're putting visual studio 2010 et al. I do not have the kind of cash they're trying to get from me. T least, if i can use it, i can do some self made/self-used projects. I will download the free development systems. But, they run out after 60-90 days. I still need to get ms office standard 2007/10.

Dual Boot With Win 7 Pro And Xp Pro

I would like to set up a dual boot on my computer. I currently have 2 internal hard drives installed. I would like to have the current c: drive continue to run xp and the second hard drive (d:) run win 7.

Questions:

1. Do i need to buy a full version of win 7 pro or can i buy the upgrade?
2. Is this the best way to run the dual boot on the 2 hard drives? I realize that win 7 pro does have an xp mode, but i would rather keep my current xp running as is.
3. Can you advise the best way for me to install win 7 for this.

Do I Really Need Pro Version?

Currently i'm running vista home premium w/sp2 (32 bit). Some of the files have become corrupt and because i can't get a full repair cd with sp2, i can't fix it. Slipstreaming is too complicated. I also want to change from 32 bit to 64 bit. No point in having a dual quad processor if you can't use all of it. I've been told that i can buy a retail version, pop in the right cd and hit fresh install. It will wipe vista off my hard drive and install the new windows 7 64 bit in it's place.

Is that true? I've been looking over the various versions and am now totally confused as to what to buy. I can buy an oem, (whatever that is), i can also buy just the 64 bit version, or a full version with both 32 and 64 bit. Whatever i get i want a cd in my hands not a download. I have macrium reflect as my iso image burning program. With that, wouldn't i have the same as the pro version of 7.

Meaning can i just buy the home premium version and use macrium instead of shelling out extra money for a feature i already have?Lso; while trying to hunt down a copy i can afford, i went to ebay. I see a number of sites offering everything windows at ridiculously low prices. One such site is top2dvd.com  they are selling 7 ultimate for $96. Now anybody with half a brain knows they are about to get seriously screwed, or they are going to get a pirated copy. Does microsoft have any kind of dept that cruises ebay to weed these people out, and hopefully throw them in jail?

Is there any place to report these sites to? I have 3 e-mails from this site, all 3 step carefully around the legal copy issue. Yet in their ad they promise it is a fully licensed copy with a good activation key. I just want to get my computer squared away so i can burn a good iso image so i don't end up in this mess again. I didn't know i was even missing files until after i bought macrium and it failed to verify an iso backup image. Kind of like buying a cow after all the fences have all fallen down.

Upgrade From Xp To 7 On Macbook Pro

Upgrade from xp to 7 on macbook pro, without loading bootcamp or the apple os. I have a macbook pro with leopard 10. 5. 1, and i was running windows xp pro service pack 3 on the windows side. I updated to windows 7 , but did not do anything on the apple side. Big mistake, windows 7 works fine but! I have no apple. In order to get the apple working again, what do i need to do? Will i have to restart my upgrade, and use bootcamp with the leopard. If you could provide or direct me to someone who could, step by step instruction on this please do so.

My windows data is still on carbonite and i have no issues with having to lose my apple side memory. I have a external drive if needed i also have 37. 3gig free space common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools.

Office Xp With Win 7 Pro

I own a license of office xp that was purchased on a sony laptop which has become increasingly slow and prone to lockups with each xp update and has also lost some of its original xp components, so i bought a new toshiba with win 7 pro and would like to run the office xp on it. However the sony came with two sony application recovery cds rather than office xp installation cds, and the recovery cds won't run on the toshiba. I have the license key for this office xp copy, but have no way to install it on the toshiba from the supplied cds.

I've used windows easy transfer to copy my desktop profile and data files to the toshiba, but is there a way i can get office xp transferred and installed too? Btw, when i tried to restore the missing xp components from the sony supplied system recovery cds, the setup asked for an xp sp3 cd which i don't have because the sony came with xp before any service packs were issued. This is another reason i broke down and bought the toshiba.

Looking for advice for preparation to win7. I have 2 desktops and 2 laptops with xp pro, and i am replacing them with new desktops and laptops with win7. When i have the new systems, should i:complete the new computers set up, with internet, the home network, etc. , And loadany programs and then transfer the data from the old computers?Try and set up and transfer data at the same time?I figure to transfer via usb, should the old computers be "off line" when transferring? In other words, not connected to their network. Just trying to get a feel for the best procedure for the transition.

Re-installation Of Win 7 Pro

I installed windows 7 professional on my new computer build. After a week of transferring files and installing virtual xp, i have ended up with some files doubled and tripled while others are completely missing, and some show up as empty where once there was a file. The status of these seems to now change every time i go to do something new. It has become so confusing i feel like i need to reinstall windows 7 pro and start all over. My concern is whether i will be allowed to reinstall the same disc since it has probably been more than a week since i originally installed and registered it. Any advice?

Update Will Not Run

stops completely but no error message. No data is sent to the net. No update has been successful since feb 5, 2010. I uninstalled all updates for 2010 but this had no affect. Running vista home premium sp2 and new ie8 just re-downloaded. Will not run from start nor anywhere else. Cant figure this out. More info. Installed windows update as stated but no change. Finally got an error code of 80246008, but cant find any information on this.

Microsoft support ran me through the gauntlet in trying to get the update feature to work. Nothing helped. I have given up. The problem is not with the update but with the supporting process itself. Update will come up but will not download anything. That is where the problem is. No further response is required.

Chkdsk Cannot Run

My laptop tries to run chkdsk every time i boot up but says the disc is corrupted and cannot run. I also cannot run system restore as it says the disc is corrupted and whenever i try to run backup it freezes the pc after about 80% completion. If i run chkdsk from a command prompt it gets to 4% and freezes the computer.

Apart from that the pc is working normally but i'm concerned that a bigger failure might be around the corner and since i'm struggling to back up i'm even more worried. I'd rather not go through the reinstall windows route so if anyone can offer any suggestions i'd be grateful. Btw my diagnostics tools say everything is aok.

Logitech Quickcam Pro Drivers

I just installed windows 7 rc (64-bit edition), and everything seems fine, except the webcam drivers. I have a logitech quickcam pro for notebooks, and here's the procedure i tried out to get it working:

1. Tried to install the drivers from the disc supplied with my webcam. No go - it says the operating system isn't supported. I then tried to run the setup.exe file in compatibility mode (right-click and select). I tried out different options - windows xp (home, the os i was running prior to the windows 7 rc installation - it worked fine here), windows xp sp2, windows vista, windows vista sp2. But in each case i'm not able to install the drivers.

2. I then went to the logitech webpage and downloaded the 64-bit logitech quickcam pro (v11. 8) drivers for windows vista. Further to the problem mentioned in (1), i thought that the problem was that the drivers on disc were for the 32-bit version, and the 64-bit version should do the trick. But on running the setup file, i get the same message - software is not for this os. I tried the compatibility troubleshoot (selecting vista/vista-sp2), but doesn't work.

Any help, anyone? I'm running windows 7 rc (64-bit edition) on an amd x2 - tureon processor. My webcam is logitech quickcam pro for notebooks and the installation disc has software v11. 5 (xp, vista capable). The webcam was running just fine in windows xp home (sp3). Can the virtual pc mode be of help here? I don't think so, since i guess the virtual pc mode would take care only of software and not (?) Driver compatibility (?).

Genuine Win 7 On Macbook Pro

Genuine windows 7 on macbook pro running in bootcamp partition with vmware fusion 3. 1. I am having a problem with windows 7 ultimate 32-bit. I installed windows 7 on my bootcamp partition and until recently it worked fine as well when i ran it in vmware fusion. When i boot into my windows 7 on the bootcamp partition everything is ok. But then when i run it in vmware fusion it says my copy is not genuine. I just went through the automated phone system and entered the codes and so now while i'm running in fusion windows is genuine.

I fear though that when i go back to running from the bootcamp partition, windows will say it isn't genuine again. I only have one copy of windows 7 and can only run it either from the bootcamp partition or from vmware fusion at any one time. How can i resolve this so windows no longer says it's not genuine when i switch between bootcamp and vmware fusion?I need to be able to run windows while i am on the mac side at times.

Install Office 2003 Pro

I just upgraded (got a new) laptop with win7 home premium 64bit, pre-installed. No e-mail. I do have a license for office pro 2003. I installed said office product, mostly it works. But when i try to set up my e-mail accounts i get an error message "the operation failed due to a registry or installation problem. Restart outlook and try again. If the problem persists, please reinstall"
I had read in one of these forums that office 2003 does work in win 7, but i failed to mark that spot.

Home To Pro Install Problem

I have a new pc to replace an old one which came with win 7 home. I also bought a win 7 pro  which i was going to use to upgrade the system in order to be able to load legacy programs which i currently use. Since i hadn't found this forum and therefore didn't know that the product key on the pro would also work as an any time upgrade key, i chose a custom install and let it default to location, thinking i would have to reload the other software that came pre-loaded. I did load some of it, but then the partition it was call c: was full - it only had 14 gb. So i moved files to the other partition that was available - e: which was using the rest of my 500gb disk.

After some restarts, i realized that i now had a multi-boot system with 7 home and 7 pro. I would like to uninstall the 7 pro and try again going through the anytime upgrade process, but can't seem to uninstall it. When i'm in 7 home and go to the disk management screen, based on the size of the partitions i see there - unnamed-39 mb, os (c:) 451gb, & recovery 14 gb - it looks like i need to reformat the recovery section, but it won't let me. How do i know for sure what needs to be cleared? I also received a message about windows not finding a recovery disk - i don't remember the exact message - relating to backups.

No Sound Win 7 Pro 64-bit

I have this weird problem i have never seen before. I can't get the realtek drivers to install in win 7 pro 64 bit. I am using a evga x58 classified i7 920. I have loaded drivers from evga, realtek, and the software will install but the driver wont. I have tried to install as a admin and have used every os compatibility option to install the drivers and have had no success. And yes the on board audio is enabled in the bios. So if anyone can help me i will be very grateful. I have been building pc's for ten year now and have never seen anything like this.

Upgrade Home To Pro, Drawbacks?

I've identified desirable laptop vendors and am trying to select a 15. 6" model with windows 7 pro 64-bit *and* blu ray. This seems to be rare, so i was thinking about going with windows 7 home, then upgrading to pro. From the win2k days, i still have this expectation that upgrading to pro is not as good as installing pro from scratch (functionality not quite right). I was wondering if there has been enough consumer experience with windows 7 for anecdotal feedback on whether such upgrade wrinkles have been ironed out in windows 7? If not, what kind of issues can expect from upgrading a laptop that was designed for a native windows home version?

P. S. I know that asus and toshiba (my desired vendors) have 15. 6" models with windows 7 pro and blu ray, but newsgroups report that the asus model has a pervasive high-pitch hum when the i3/5 goes into low power mode, and the toshiba model is only available in the u. S. And i don't want to have to deal remotely. I'm in canada. P. P. S. I have other criteria too, but blu ray and windows 7 pro seem to be the main conflict. Hence the question about upgrading a windows home model that has blu ray. P. P. P. S. Is there a way to access this group through google groups, like the microsoft. Public. * Groups? It'd be way more convenient.

Win 7 Pro 64-bit Printing Is Not Available

I have seen numerous topics on her about windows 7 64-bit printing issues. Here is my case and i have not seen another like it. 1st - please be aware that this is in a corporate environment, 2nd - i have domain administrator rights across the entire domain. We have numerous printers in our domain and i generally use 5 of them. The printers that i am connecting to are attached to a windows server 2003 32-bit box and all printers have the x64 drivers enabled from the mfg on the server. I am running windows 7 pro 64-bit and am attached to the network via cable. I can browse for the printer and have it successfully add, and print a test page from windows. But when i am using applications like ie8, office, adobe reader, etc. I cant print. The specific error that i am getting is "printing is not available. There are no printers installed. You can select and configure a printer in windows control panel. "

I can tell you that i cant print to anything that is listed in my devices and printers, including the xps document writer from microsoft. This only occured once i installed office 2010 beta, and dropped back to office 2007 std. I have removed the printers and removed all drivers from c:windowssystem32spoolx643 and re-added the printers with the up to date drivers without luck. Anyone have an idea on this one?

Dual Boot Win 7 Pro 64 With Xp

Have a dual boot xp 32 bit system. C: has the boot.ini with partition(1) pointing to c: and partition(2) pointing to drive letter f: [some old history there. ] There were installed from a xp full cd oem on the system i build 2 years ago. Line of the system should be another 3 years. What to go to windows 7 64 bit on c: and leave the existing xp 32 biton partition(2), the f: drive letter.

Have read a number of posts here, learning two things:
(1) buy a full windows 7 64 bitcd (have an oem cd on order)
(2) have downloaded easybcd if needed.

I desire two things in the change:
(1) a clean install of window 7 on c: with no need to go back to xp
(2) retain the dual boot so i can get to anxp os if needed on f:

I've seen that some windows 7 install path generate a folder or partition used for going back. I really don't desire this. So my question is how to achieve what i want- (a) should i just boot my system with the full oem win 7 cd in and my system with the bios set to boot from the cd drive first? (B) or do i start, as i've seen in some posts, the existing xp on c:, insert the full oem win 7 cd and then restart my system? My last comment, somewhat off the main topic is: install the os builds i've done in the past for 10 years since windows 95 (98se, xp) i needed to do at least 2 passes to get all the mb updates (current mb is asus p5k-vm) and desired software installed with no or very few errors. So i expect at least 2 passes at the win 7 install based on past experiences.
