Media Player Do Not Stream Mp3 Files To Lg Bd390 Player

Windows media player streams video, pictures to lg bd390 player, but not mp3 files. How can i get to work? I am successfully using wmp12 as upnp server over wireless network to stream video and pictures to lg bd390 blu ray player. However, while the bd390 shows audio file, on selection, it times out suggesting "network congestion issues". Is there a fix to this problem. By the way, nero homemedia 4 essential, which comes with player, does play all media types, but seems to be messing up my network in other ways. I would prefer to get wmp12 to work. I think nero product uses wmp12.

Windows Media Player 12 Problem With Mp3 Files

Will there be an update for windows media player 12 in windows home premium? Its doesn't play mp3 files well. Skipping in last 20-30 seconds of song no matter what driver i use. Programs having problems with: windows media player 12 on windows 7.

Recent changes you made to your computer: installed windows 7 home premium upgrade: clean install
What you have already tried to fix the problem: reinstalled the sound card driver. Upgraded to a creative sound blaster x fi sb0790 pci sound card and the mp3's still skip 30 seconds before the end of the song. This sound card was on the compatible hardware list so. That tells me there is a problem with windows media player. Not the sound card driver.

Sync Tunes To Mp3 Player Lost

When i sync tunes from wma to my mach speed essential mp 3 device, i have this problem: the older tunes on the mp3 player are erased when the newer ones are sync-ed. The essential tech help told me that wma 12 and win 7 has this problem wherein the previous sync list is automatically erased when a new list in sent to the player. Seems weird to me. Is this truly a problem with wma 12 and win 7? I know that the old sync-ed tunes are erased from my library after sync-ing. What if anything am i doing wrong?

Media Player 12 Library Help

I am not able to delete any of the sample music that came pre installed on windows 7. I deleted the files from the my music folder/my videos but i cant delete them from windows media player 12 or windows media center. I would like to know how to do this. When i hit delete on them nothing happens same thing if i drag them to the trash. That's not close to the big problem though. I am not able to add any music to the library without it all getting deleted once i close wmp 12. How can i get around this?

It is a brand new computer i just bought it. It came installed with windows 7 home premium 64 bit. It has no virus or anything like that wrong with it.microsoft sure did mess up with wmp 12, wmp 11 was great but they font have it for windows 7 that im aware of. I also tried to re-download wmp 12 but i couldn't find the link to download it. They kept trying to make me download a plug in for it instead of the player itself. Since there's such little problems with this operating system like this im already regretting not going with a mac.

Media Player Not Showing Video In Library

I'm running 64bit win 7. The media player shows video in skins and now playing modes, but when switched to library mode or when initiated in library mode the video seems to play but doesn't display. How might this be corrected? Also, i'd really like the enhancement for video controls always displayed (as i've had in earlier m-player versions). How can i set this ?

Media Player 12 Won't Keep Music In The Library

This is really a terrible product. I upgraded to windows 7 during the holiday, and the wmp loaded my 75 gigs of music right away. Shortly thereafter it unloaded all of it - i could literally see it draining from my library. Now it will put something in the library if i pull it up from the hard drive and hit play. But it won't keep it in the library.

I've reinstalled wmp twice, with no success. Please tell us that a patch is on the way, or something. Or should all of us just head on over to apple?

Cannot Add Picture Files To Library In Wmp 12 And Media Center

Cannot add picture files to library in windows media player 12 and media center i am not able to see any of my pictures in windows media player or media center. I have tried removing folders from the library and then adding them again. They then show up, but disappear when i close the program and open it again, even though the folders show up in the library. The files show up fine in other applications. I have also noticed that the library retains some old filenames when i try to delete them but cannot open them. Any suggestions?

Media Player 12 Dropping Files

Just in the last couple of days i've noticed that albums i know should be in the wmp 12 list are missing. They are still available in my music, but the player no longer posts them when it lists the albums available. For example-a downloaded album from amazon that i purchased about 10 days ago was fine until yesterday, when it disappeared. If i try opening it from the my music file, it plays just fine, but the album still won't list in wmp.

I even tried burning the album to cd, and then ripping it back to wmp- which worked fine until i closed and re-opened wmp-and then no album. Very frustrating. I'm tempted to use the "restore media files" button in tools, but i'm afraid i'll end up with a mess. Anyone know what the problem is? I forgot to mention that i'm running windows 7 home premium 64-bit.

Windows Media Player Cannot Burn The Files

Windows media player cannot burn the files. If the burner is busy, wait for the current task to finish. If necessary verify the burner is connected properly and that you have installed the last device driver.

If you guys tell me check and make sure the cd burner is connected;been there done that.
If you guy tell me to uninstall the device and reinstall;been there done that
If you guys tell me to try brand new disks;been there done that as well.
I have lowered the burn speed ect.

I have done everything possible. I can burn a disk one time or a few then next disk i get that error. I have yet to burn the system restore disk and i am afraid to for fear of getting that error. I am thinking of getting external burner since no one things its a good idea test things out before putting them out.

Media Player 12 Music Files Disappearing

For valentines day hubby built me a new computer and put windows 7 on it, which i am highly starting to regret. Anyhow i put my music i had backed up on my back up drive and it works fine, no problems. Then yesterday i ripped 2 c. D's on to it. I thought everything was fine shut down the computer. Then last night i went to play them and neither of them would show up on my media player, but both were in my music folder.

I deleted them and ripped them again and they showed up on the media player but the second i exit out of the media and go back to it they are gone, vanished, poof. I have tried restore media library and restarted computer come back they load on to the media player i exit out of the player and go back and once again gone. I have tried everything i can think of and still nothing is working and i am getting highly frustrated.

Mp3 Player Compatibility Issues

I will attempt to be as detailed as possible (even though i can barely speak nor understand computer language).

I have a creative zen vision: m 60 gb player that was purchased about 2 1/2 years ago. Was installed on one computer that had windows xp as its os. Worked fine for that amount of time.

Recently, i had to upgrade computers, and opted for something brand new which included windows 7 as the os. Mind you, i never synced the player to the old computer; instead, i felt more comfortable being able to hook it up to anyone's pc, and charging the battery if the need arose.

Anyway, i've attempted many times to re-install the original software that came with the player onto this computer. I kept receiving the same message that the program wasn't completely installed, and that there was a driver error. After asking around, it was determined that i needed to use a program that was compatible with windows 7.

In came the home site, creative.com. I went through the process of finding out if/how my player needed a driver. Unfortunately, there wasn't any recent updates to software for my specific player. After searching the support forum, i stumbled across a file to a starter pack that supposedly fixes windows 7 compatibility issues. I downloaded the program, and started installing.

Within moments, an error message came up, informing me that the setup.exe file was monitored by my anti-virus program. Not a second after allowing it to continue, a gigantic message alerted me that there was a virus present. A "trojan downloader" file. I've attempted installing the program several times with the same message coming up, so i eventually gave up. Even asking at their forums warranted no explanations from anyone, which was a bit disheartening.

Now, i've come to this forum, and read beforehand about windows 7 compatibility regarding my mp3 player. It is supported in 32 bit. Not sure about 64 bit, which is what my computer technically is. When it's hooked into the usb port, the computer detects a device, yet doesn't know what to do with my player.

I guess my question is. If i can't access my player without a program, yet the program i download is corrupted in some way, but my player is compatible to windows 7, what would be the next step?

Honestly, i'm kind of stuck and a bit frustrated. And all i really want to do is listen to some music and transfer files. This hasn't made it easier.

Error - Windows Media Player Cannot Burn The Files

Windows media player-error: windows media player cannot burn the files. If the burner is busy, wait for the current task to finish. If necessary, verify that the burner is connected properly and that you have installed the latest device driver. Wmp cannot burn the files. If the burner is busy, wait for the current task to finish. If necessary, verify that the burner is connected properly and that you have installed the latest device driver.

When trying to burn a cd wmp goes through the motions but only burns a some of the music and not others then ejects the cd with the message above. Some songs on the burn list have audio codec info some do not. I believe this makes a difference but am not sure.

Avchd .mts Files Playing Problem With Media Player 12

I am new to this forum, would greatly appreciate anyone's advice or expertise. Windows media player12 is no longer playing *. Mts files on my computer. My operating system is windows 7 which came installed with wmp 12, purchased 3 months ago. I have not had any problems with this until recently -i have many *. Mts video files saved on my computer (transferred directly from my avchd canon hf10 camcorder to the desktop). They have always played in wmp 12 without a hitch until now (they would load up instantly when i double-clicked on them).

The appearance of the thumbnails for each file have been unaffected in windows explorer, but when i double-click on them (wmp 12 is my default player) all that happens is that wmp 12 loads up but does not initiate playing of the file. It becomes perpetually stuck in the "opening media" message and a psychedelic series of never-ending circles is seen in the lower left corner. Occasionally i will get the "server execution failed" message as well to mix things up. Wmp 12 is playing other files normally on my computer, including . M4v and . Avi files. I have tried uninstalling and re-installing wmp 12 through the windows 7 control panel, but this did not fix the problem.

I tried deactivating the "network sharing" for wmp 12, but this did not change anything. Interestingly, when i query the technical details of my wmp 12 copy(from the help menu), it lists several video codecs but none are listed as supporting *. Mts files (though none seem to list *. Avi support either, and *. Avi files have been playing fine). The mts files do open up in windows live movie maker, though occasionally they are choppy or only half the screen is presented. I have not done anything obviously damaging to my computer recently. I installed an epson scanner yesterday, not sure if this would affect anything but i un-installed all of its components/associated programs and this did not seem to help anything.

I tried installing the k-lite codec pack today but this did not fix anything, so i uninstalled that as well. Help i am not sure if i am just missing a codec for these files? My understanding was that windows 7 comes with all the codecs/files preloaded in order to play avchd movie files such as *. Mts, would these have been re-installed when i did the re-install of wmp 12? Could a file be corrupted somewhere in the registry that is interfering with this normal function? If so, how could i repair this? Could the k-lite codec pack have damaged anything in my registry or pre-installed codecs? I am not sure if that is what has happened since the problem with mts playback preceded installing this codec pack.

Unable To Download Audio Mp3 Files

I got a new hp pavillion entertainment pc with windows 7 for christmas. It has crashed twice, wiping out the hard drive each time, requiring reinstallation of the recovery discs. Before the first crash, i could download mp3 files without a problem. Since then, i am unable to download any audio mp3 files, but can download text files. Also, email windows live program runs intermittently, but more often than not, it says it is not available and to try later since the crash.

I also lost my free trial of office suite in the first crash, it did not restore in the recovery. Now my hard drive shows "recovery drive" is nearly full. What do i do? I have tried saving the mp3 files to c drive as well as dvd drive. After about 50 tries, i was able to download one file, none since.

Error When Trying To Burn Cd - Windows Media Player Cannot Burn Files

Windows media player cannot burn the files. If the burner is busy, wait for the current task to finish. If necessary, verify that the burner is connected properly and that you have installed the latest device driver. I just burned a cd with absolutely no problems at all. Using the same type of cd, brand new, i attempted to burn another cd and got this error message: windows media player cannot burn the files. If the burner is busy, wait for the current task to finish.

If necessary, verify that the burner is connected properly and that you have installed the latest device driver. I've shut down all programs running, restarted my computer, changed the burn speed under the devices tab, everything i knew to do and all the things i've read through these forums, no such luck, still getting the exact same message. Any clue why my cd burner has decided to just stop working for me?

Media Center Library Updating Issue

I am having repeated difficulty maintaining my media library with wmc. I am running win7 professional - 64 bit on a ibm intellistation 6223, dual 3. 6ghz xeon w/ 5gb memory. I have parred down my entire media library to one directory of ~20 pictures in an attempt to isolate the issue to no avail. Media player sees the pictures just fine: media center sees the picture directory, but claims it is empty.

I have already:

1. Rebuilt the database by following the directions give in another post by savan h, provided here:

Follow these steps:

A. Click start, type%systemdrive%programdatamicrosoftehome in the start search box and hit enter.

B. Right-click themediacenterdatastore. Dbfile and delete.

C. Restart windows media center.

(Note: i did not find the filemediacenterdatastore. Db, but did find and delete the . Db file called mcepg2-0. Db, but to no avail. )

2. I have uninstalled and re-installed wmc.

3. I have run system file checker (sfc) and no errors were found.

Why can't wmc see and display picture files that wmp has no problem with?

Problem With Library Files

Win7 is driving me crazy. The new "library" feature sounds like a good idea, but it is not working for me. I have taken a number of pictures from my hard drive, and burned them to cds, deleting them from my hard drive. However, these pictures continue to be listed in the library even though they no longer exist on the computer. When i click on these "pictures" in the library list in media player, nothing happens, and the thumbnails are generic logos, not a thumbnail of the actual picture. However, win7 will not allow me to delete these not-existent pictures from the library list. Any ideas?

Deleting Problem Audio Files From Wmp Library In Win 7

Trying to delete music files from windows media player after i have deleted the music files from the windows library i have downloaded, listened to and burned music mp3 files from the internet using my new dell xps 9000 series computer with windows 7 home premium os. I subsequently deleted the music files from the windows library and computer but the files were not automatically removed from media player. I tried deleting them by right clicking on the files and then selecting delete as directed in windows media player help but nothing happens. How do i now remove the files from the windows media player window? I assume that by deleting the files from the windows library and computer first that i somehow broke the link between the media player and windows library.

Live Sync - Unwanted Restoration Of Deleted Files

For the last three months i have had a recurring problem of deleted files from livesync re-appearing suddenly overnight out of the blue. I can verify that they are in fact gone from the directories of all three of my syncing computers (two on xp, one on windows 7). Then suddenly out of nowhere, 24-48 hours later, i get all the files deleted since january 2010 reappearing in their original directories. It's a huge headache and takes hours & hours to delete again manually.

Automatic Media Information In Media Player Stops

I'm running wmp12 on win7. I placed a bunch of mp3s in "my music" folder, then went into windows media player and in options for "automatic media information updates for files" i checked all the boxes (with the sub-selection of "only add missing information"). So as i anticipated, wmp started to organize all my music into nice little folders (like itunes). But then after getting about half way through, it has just stopped. So half my music is organized and half is not. Does anyone have any idea why it stopped and how i can get it to finnish the job?
