Kernel Data Error - Blue Screen Of Death

If i leave my computer for any length of time a blue screen appears and one of the lines reads: kernal data error the final line says beginning dump of physical memory but doesn't do it. Shortly afterwards the black screen appears stating boot failure and i have to switch off manually. When i turn on again reboots ok and everything seems fine unless i leave it unmanned or attempt a full scan. Have searched around and it appears it could relate to a recent windows upgrade. I am a complete novice here and don't understand some of the tech stuff to solve this problem and can't really find exactly the same prob as mine. Please can anyone help?

Blue Screen Of Death

Running windows 7 professional, ie 8 - keep getting unexpected shutdowns with the following errors: 1) memory management and 2) pfn list corrupt. For the memory management error i have run the memory diagnostics and the results indicate that i have a hardware problem and i should contact the manufacturer (gateway). Unfortunately, i no longer have a warranty and they charge $60 for 1/2 hour. (I have spent that much and the technical support person didn't resolve my problem).

I don't have a clue as what pfn list corrupt is. Please note that i am not a tech person and all the reports(dumps) that vare generated are useless to me, since they are not clear to read.
I do run all my maintenance and antivirus programs daily and try to keep everything according to protocol. Yet i keep getting the blue screen of deaths. Please also note that i always get a window after the fact that reads: "windows has recovered from an unexpected shutdown. "

1) if i purchase a new hard disk, would this take care of the problem or not?

2) does ram have anything to do with these errors? 3) what other alternatives are there?

Would appreciate solid guidelines and your enlightening me on the above resolution.

Blue Screen Of Death Issue

My wife's computer crashed. I was not able to see it happen so i don't know the code. After this, the computer would not start. I once got it to have a blinking cursor but could type nothing. So, knowing it must be a hardware issue (no new driver updates or anything installed) i took out the hard drive and put it in another laptop. Here are the codes that came up.

Bccode: a
Bcp1: 8000000d
Bcp2: 00000002
Bcp3: 00000000
Bcp4: 8301fb26
Os version 6_1_7600

I was able to copy off the .dmp file saved if you need it. Would like to know what this all means and ultimately if the laptop is now an anchor. It is a dell insperion 5200

Blue Screen When Transfer Large Amount Of Data Over Usb

Blue screen -apc_index_mismatch - trying to transfer large amount of data over usb. I am currently using windows 7 - 64 bit and whenever i try to transfer large amounts of data from my iphone or my external hard drive the system shuts down and i get the blue screen that says: apc_index_mismatch.

I just bought this computer around september 09 and it had windows vista - 64bit loaded on it. A couple of months after that i received the free upgrade to windows 7.

That is when the blue screen started to happen. At first it was happening when i was my iphone was trying to sync and transfer my music over, which made me think that the iphone was not working with windows 7. But i realized that it was the usb when i was trying to transfer some data from my external hard drive to my computer and the system crashed.

Does anyone know what is going on here?

Some more info from the blue screen:

Black Screen Of Death Error

I recently had an unstable system (i.e. Programs would stop working, administrator rights had to be granted to the admin account) and then i logged on one day to find a completely black screen.

I of course opened task manager to see what the problem was, and found only a few services were running. I restarted explorer.exe and checks the services. Msc list. All services were disabled. I am in the process of trying to find out which services were enabled right now.

Now, i have noticed that my internet is extremely slow (but i might still need to fix the services) and that i cannot disable remote procedure call (rpc) since its a remote anything i don't want it.
Is this a completely necessary process, or a result of a virus?

Also, i still cannot access any files, it gives me an error stating that i cannot access a shortcut, because i dont have the appropriate permissions. Has anyone else had this problem and does anyone have a fix for the services thing? Luckily they seem to stay put when i re-enable them and reboot.

Black Screen Of Death

Ok. First of all, i'll start by saying i know nothing about computers. My laptop is dell xps m1710 (gaming laptop)

On december 1st 2009 i was prompted to download a windows update. I told it to do it now, rather than postpone. After it had done its 3 of 3 steps it booted to desktop where i was greeted by a delightful black screen of death.

Not knowing what to do, i took my laptop to maplin (a store that sells parts for computers in uk). The guy in there said he would work on it for me on his day off. My dvd r/rw was damaged so he couldn't reformat since he couldn't use an external one as it wasn't showing in the bios. So i ordered a new identical one from dell. Then there was delays in it arriving because of christmas, new year, and then all the snow and ice that the uk received in early january. The dvd r/rw arrived january 14th.

He said that he installed windows vista (the operating system i was using at the time) and it was fine, and then he downloaded all the windows updates, and it got to the last one (dec 2009) and then black screen of death! He said he did this 9 times (reformatting) and then told me to go out and buy windows 7 to try and get newer drivers. So i did. Then same problem. He disabled that update and hid it so that it wouldn't ever download.

I take it back home, after not being on a computer for seventy-two long days, and install world of warcraft on it, to see if its playable. After installing i log in to play and it says "failed to find a suitable display device. " And i cant have a screen-saver "you need a video-card thats compatible with direct3d". My video-card is nvidia 9. I sent a text message to the guy from maplin.

He said its about time i contacted microsoft and see what they have to say. He said to tell them i have had a gpu driver problem that caused a black screen on vista and that i've bought windows 7 to try and get newer drivers, but its doing the same thing. Official drivers from nvidia also have the same effect. Even drivers from 2007 give the same result so he says it has to be interaction between the os and the drivers.

Black Screen Of Death Problem

I cannot for the life of me figure out why i cannot play mameui all i get is a black screen cannot ctrl+alt+del, click mouse does nothing, pressing keys on the board does nothing. I have to restart my computer. Same happens when i exit my dream aquarium screensaver, marine aquarium screen-saver. Been searching the net and none of the suggestions work. I think its something to do with directx or rendering or something like that, i've tried different video cards and problems still persists. My mb is gigabyte ga-73pvm-s2h all drivers and bios have been updated, asus 9600 gt video card, 4 gig ddr2 ram (tried different ram as well).

Black Screen Of Death With No Cursor

I have tried what people suggested about using control alt del to no avail. I have even tried to reinstall windows 7 to no avail. The computer worked fine when first installed, then after an update, everything went to pot. Now when i start up the computer, the microsoft logo comes up, then goes to black with no cursor visible and my monitor states "no signal". I am running an amd phenom x4 955 with windows 7 ultimate. This is very frustrating. I cannot get onto the internet from my home computer at all or do any thing. I have tried booting from the cd. No help.

Blue Screen With Error D1

Blue screen with windows 7 i"ve been running windows 7 since it came out in october with no issues. Back in march after an update and reboot i've had restart after restart problems, many giving me different errors everytime. Sometimes i can load in safe mode, but it usually takes me rebooting 10 times to get there. I roll back to the previous update and seem to get restarted only to start the process all over again on another reboot. Some of the errors i've gotten are memory_management, or unknown hard error(systemootsystem32dll.dll), a usb driver error, page fault in non page area, e tc.

I haven't installed anything, and even tried a clean install and before i run any updates im getting restart errors again. I currently have all updates turned off so its not a new update thats causing this. Im ready to go back to windows xp im so frustrated. We run windows 7 on 4 other computers and we haven't had any issues so not sure why its just me. This is a copy of the latest error i received

Blue Screen Error - Bugcode_usb_driver

I just purchased a brand new computer (hp, desktop) in november, with windows 7 home premium already installed. I haven't had any problems and love the new operating system. But starting the other day, a blue screen pops out of nowhere with a bugcode_usb_driver error. It has happened four times so far. I've never ran into a problem like this before and have no clue on where to begin. I'd greatly appreciate any help to resolve this issue.

Repeated Blue Screen Error 44

I've had a couple of identical blue-screens on my pc in the last few days. I'm slightly concerned as the last time this happened it was a precursor to my video card effectively melting. I've picked up the error report in action centre action centre and they're copied below. Anyone got any ideas what's causing the problem?

Afterwards i got on the internet and looked it up, one site mentioned i might have had it overworked before. It was slow, i had had about 5 or 6 tabs open, plus 2 other programs and a sims game. I had closed out all the internet pages (the back button had quit working- i had to use the drop down arrow to go back) when i brought the sims game up it was really slow and took awhile for the objects to load. Thats when the blue thing popped up.

Help please! What did i do? What do i need to do? Is my laptop fixing to go kaput?

P. S. : Also, this was the first time its happened.

Blue Screen Error 0x00000050

I don't even have a clue where to begin to try and fix this mess.could someone please point me in the right direction? I'm getting blue screens constantly. The desktop manager has stopped working several times, internet explorer experiences problems and has to restart. And at this moment it has a black screen scrolling "check cable connection! Pxe-m0f: exiting intel pxe rom (first time i've seen that one). "

I have a toshiba qosmio laptop x505 - 0870 that originally came with windows 7 home which i upgraded to windows 7 professional and then again to ultimate. I had this problem a few weeks ago and uninstalled microsoft security center i think it is called and toshiba service station. The blue screens seemed to stop and i was even able to go a whole day or two without a lockup or blue screen.

I installed visual basic express 2010 last night and the blue screens started again. Thing is i can't keep the computer up long enough to be able to uninstall it. So any help for a not so bright windows user would be much appreciated.

Blue Screen Error After Installed Programs

Blue screen error- the deadly one !I'm using windows seven home premium 64-bit. 4 gb ram. 512 mb nvidia. Laptop model- lenovo g560i keep getting blue screens at least twice a week and i don't know why. I had installed fifa 2010 and after that problems started coming up. The game started crashing. I had also installed itunes yesterday and after that i saw the second blue screen coming up. I also installed device drivers for the ipod nano 16 gb. And also, after that, windows explorer has started acting like crazy.

It keeps crashing. When i try to find a solution through the action centre, it shows that iit could not reach the server, although i am connected. Please help guys. It does not feel nice to see blue screens so often. Is it a problem of windows 7? (The compatibility issue?). Because most of the programs i use are 32-bit or 84-bit most of them migrated from windows xp home edition.

Blue Screen Stop Error When Booting

I went on vacation june 5th. When i shutdown my computer (windows 7 professional x64) before leaving, two (2) critical microsoft updates were installed. When i returned from vacation today, june 9th, & started up my computer, i get a flash of a blue screen that has some stop error. It goes by so fast, i can't read it. I've tried the obligatory startup repair options numerous times, but it says that it cannot determine the cause of the problem.

I've tried the system restore option, but it is trying to restore to the (c:) (system) drive, which shows a status of "you must enable system protection on this drive". In startup recovery, the actual system drive has now become the e: or x: drive, so that doesn't work & the os isn't smart enough to identify the correct drive (i guess).

I've tried using the command prompt & running bootrec.exe with every available option, including rebuilding the bcd, but that doesn't work either. The /scan os option says "total identified windows installations: 0", even though i can see all of my windows files on the ~now~ e: & x: drives. I've tried booting into safe mode, but i get the same blue screen. On which the message is again unidentifiable. Everything was working fine before i shutdown my computer & the microsoft updates were installed.
