Cannot Print Wirelessly

I've got an epson sx515w printer-scanner-copier, which i can't print to wirelessly from win 7 (64-bit edition). When it's connected using usb, it works fine. When my wife tries to print wirelessly from her macbook, it works fine. I can scan documents, and they're automatically sent to my win 7 pc without a problem. When i send a job to print, it just sits there in the queue, alternating between saying "printing" and "spooling", every 30 seconds or so, but nothing gets as far as the printer.

I've tried reinstalling all the drivers (which are win 7 certified), i've tried using msconfig to stop all my startup options, but nothing i seem to do makes any difference at all. During set-up, the pc can "see" the printer, and when i send a print job, i get information on the ink levels, but still no printing! Can anyone help me with this?

Printer Problem - Print Job In Print Queue Is Preventing Other Print Jobs

Cannot print from new laptop to shared printer - "a print job in the print queue is preventing other print jobs from printing". I recently bought a new laptop and want to print to a printer (hp color laserjet 1600) i have shared over the network from a windows 7 (x64) machine. When i try to print from my laptop it stays in the print queue and i have to run the troubleshooter on the host computer to resolve the issue and allow it to print.

If i run the troubleshooter on the laptop it tells me it could not identify the problem while on the host it tells me "a print job in the print queue is preventing other print jobs from printing" and it says it fixed the problem and prints the document but i have to do this every time. I also have this printer added to a laptop and a netbook and they both print the document just fine and have no issues. The laptop i am having the problems is running windows 7 (x64).

Hp Inkjet 2230 Printer - Print Jobs Stuck In Print Queue

Print jobs stuck in the print queue and will not print on windows 7 64-bit driver for hp business inkjet 2230 printer. I have installed the current hp universal printing pcl 5 driver on my windows 7 64-bit os. When i try to print a test page on my hp business inkjet 2230 printer (usb to parallel cable connection) the job hangs in the print queue. I can run the troubleshooter and purge the spooler but then i'm back where i started. The next print command will result in the same error.

This appears to have also been a problem with windows vista (64-bit). Suggestions to remedy the problem are welcomed.

Print Jobs Sent Do Not Print

After installing win 7 ultimate, my hp f4180 all-in-one stopped working. Test print jobs were sent to the printer, the printer icon appeared in the taskbar, but no documents showed up in the print queue. Nothing printed. A very lengthy session with hp support did the following:

- Reinstalled the win 7 driver
- Deleted the printer and then added it back
- Confirmed that the printer could print a test page from its own controls
- Stopped and restarted the spooler

The computer recognizes the printer in the device manager and says it's working properly.

Cannot Print Anything

I have windows 7 home premium 64 bit (dell inspiron 537s, if that makes a difference). My problem is that i can't print. Anything. It doesn't matter if i try to print to a physical printer, or if i try to create a pdf file using the adobe pdf printer. Nothing prints. There are no error messages popping up when i try to print. It just doesn't print. When i go to the printer settings, i can see the documents in the queue with "error", but that's it.

Here's the thing that stands out. Whenever i right-click on the printer and select properties, i'm not getting the usual 5-10 tabs. I'm only seeing two:  general and hardware (and nothing else). It doesn't matter if it's the physical printer, adobe pdf printer, or the windows fax device, i get the same odd properties display.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. At this point, i'm about ready to reinstall windows 7, but i'm hoping there's something simpler i'm missing.

Cannot Print To Hp 6500n Printer

I just installed windows 7 upgrade over vista, and cannot print to my hp 6500n printer. Any clues? I have attempted to uninstall and reinstall drivers, but it still doesn't work, though it appears as one of my devices. I am having problems printing in all programs. I had already attempted to use: go to hp printer support and download this driver for window 7 32 bit.

File name:userhpndu-2017.exe, (1/1, 1. 2m)
Version 2. 0. 0. 17
Date 2009-10-20

When i do that, i get "this system does not meet one or more of the minimum requirements needed to install this product. The installation can't continue". So, nothing happens. Interestingly, the printer is in control panel, even though i have uninstalled and rebooted. During the last attempt, i connected the printer using the usb and windows appeared to attempt to grab a driver, but again, it does not work now wirelessly, and it did using vista.

Print Driver Is Not Installed

Driver doesn't work with my laserjet 2100. During the driver install, i used "windows update", it then locates the driver, and seemingly installs. Afterwards, when the printer is accessed, it errors. When i go into the printer console, it tells me ". Print driver is not installed. " I go back to device manager, and the driver is named, and seems that it is installed. Very frustrating. (I'm connecting to a printserver via wireless across to my local network to a print server). I have several other pc's running 2000, xp, and vista with no problems.

So in summary, after the driver is "installed", i get an error accessing the printer, and subsequently get an ". Driver not installed. " Error message during the troubleshooting period. Windows "troubleshooter" did not find any issues. Also, the printserver has a static ip address and i used that address in setting up the printer port. Now what?

Cannot Print To Remote Printer

I had vista home premium on my laptop from which i could print on an old lexmark z11 attached to another laptop running xp. Recently i upgraded to windows 7 and now i cannot print this way. Although the 7 machine can see the printer, it says it is 'ready' and i see stuff in its print queue on my machine, after a while these items disappear without appearing on the xp machine's queue. The printer shows no activity whatsoever. I have removed the printer from my machine and reinstalled it. Still no joy. The xp machine has extra drivers loaded for "2000 and xp".

After Reboot Printer Will Not Print

I am with the guy about the troubleshooter not working half the time. I have a lexmark z715 printer. Installed windows 7 on a new partition on a new hard-drive fresh and it detected the printer and downloaded a driver that worked and all was fine. 2 days later i shut down the computer and didn't use it for a day.

Come back online and print spooler quit working. Ok looked in diagnostics and it says is running and on automatic. Did a complete unistall of the lexmark software and that hung for 4 hours till i shut it down. So manually i went in and deleted anything associated with lexmark registry included.

Next day i thought i would give it another try so i restart computer and do a search and it finds the printer and installs a lexmark z700-900 p700-900 driver and software from the windows update sight. Printer shows up and test page prints just like it should. I do a test and print off a microsoft word file and all is good. Reboot. Now i can see the printer. Can adjust the printer properties. Yet everything i send to the printer flashes in the print queqe for a sec and deletes saying it was printed. The size of these files are 8 bytes.

I am on a dual boot system
I have windows xp installed on a c drive.
I have a backupdrive d.
I have a backup partition on c called h.
I have a tetrabyte hard drive called g where windows 7 is installed.
I have a q9650 processor with 4 gig s of ram
I have a 9800gtx+ 1 gig video card.

I can print in xp fine the printer is hooked to the usb and it turns on and prints well.
In windows 7 and in windows xp when i shut the computer down the printer shuts off also.

I have installed the windows xp driver which actually worked also till reboot. I have installed the windows vista driver that is recommended from the updater and it would not even see the printer. I after cleaning out the registry again get windows update to find that driver and it worked until reboot and at least i can still communicate with the printer.

But still cannot print. Also want to add that ive spent a good 8 hours on this researching and this seems to be an issue with alot of people. Especially with windows 7 recognizing supposedly compatible devices. Seems someone was over optimistic or manufacturers deceived in placing their equipment on the list.

Oh also i have microsoft office installed and microsoft outlook which printed fine also before reboot. I am currently looking through the forums for any other things to do. I am figuring that probably going to have to upgrade my printer due to fact that it would only cost me 50 bucks more than ink for this one. But i should not have to if its on compatible list.

Then close file and back to outlook for the next one.

The default application for pdf is set to acrobat. Please help, this is driving me mad and despite everything in windows 7 looking great this will send me back to xp if i can't find the fix.

Cannot Print Deskjet 6540

I had my wireless connection to deskjet 6540 working until a windows 7 update. Now can't print. Need help with settings since the printer is directly connected to another desktop system in the network.
I'm running w/7 on my laptop. It's wirelessly connected to a network and another desktop system with a desktop 6540 attached. I had the printer working from my laptop until there was a win 7 update last week. I removed and reinstalled the printer but still can't print. All my jobs hang up in the queue and say there is an error but doesn't give details. I'm wondering if i set up the wrong port but can't remember what i did to get it to work before. This time i'll write it down.

Waking Computer To Print

I've read all the topics on sleeping and waking i could find but nothing is like my problem. I have two hp computers running w7 through a wired linksys router. One computer (a) is connected to my usb printer. I have shared the printer and if (a) is awake i have no problem printing from computer (b). If (a) is asleep the printer doesn't print. I've read about wake on lan (wol) and have played with the interface adapter settings on (a). If magic packet is unchecked, then computer will try to go to sleep but will wake soon after.

I suspect there is some traffic from the router (maybe) that wakes the computer. If magic packet is checked, computer will not wake when i try to print to it, so i have to run upstairs and wake the computer to get it to print. How do i get (b) to send the magic packet when it prints so that (a) is awakened? Is it something i need to do in (b)'s setup? Is it something i need to set in windows? Or in each application (word, excel)?Or am i trying to use the magic packet incorrectly and really need to keep it unchecked and do something else to my network?

Unable To Print In Xp Mode

I have a new dell 546 running windows 7 64 bit. After installing xp mode, i was unable to install my epson 825 printer software - error(not supported in nt). I was successful in installing the printer software under xp mode and the printer works. Later, i perused the epson site and found a windows 7 driver for the epson 825 and downloaded it. The printer was installed and works but the printer is known as an 825 (m). Under xp mode, the printer will not now print and , the epson 825 is set as the default printer. When i send a document to the printer, it looks as though the document is sent to the printer but the printer does not print. What gives?

Print Slow To Start

Anybody else get this problem, any solutions out there? Everytime i print it to our network printer or to a local, the print takes ages to start even for single pages of text. It spools ok but when it switches to printing it just refuses to clear out and send to print. It just keeps hanging there. Eventually like 1 to 2 mins later it finally goes over. I am running win 7 pro 64-bit. I have tried disabling the isolated print spooler as recommended but it's still the same.

Print Spooler Hangs

I have 2 laptops, upgraded old one to win 7, new one came with it installed. Using several different printers, from time to time the spooler will freeze up. My only solution so far has been to open services, and stop the spooler, i then have to reboot to clear the problem. Then things work fine for a while then it hangs up again. Either laptop, any printer, direct or networked. Doesn't matter which combo i use so i can only conclude the problem lies with win 7.

Print Server Issues

I have a trendnet te100-p2u1p print server that is not playing well with windows 7 ultimate 32bit. The server worked well with my network, win xp sp3 32bit and the hp psc950xi. Run the server install cd and i can print test pages like crazy. I connected the hp to the win7 machine w/ usb and loaded the windows update driver and it works well. Reconnect the hp to the server, run the server install cd and win7 finds the server and sees the hp. It asks to reuse the existing driver and i say yes. I send off the test page and win7 does not show any errors but nothing is printed.

The local printer port is created and the ip address is correct, looks the same as in xp, but can not get it to print  tried to install new printer and create the same port config but that causes print errors in queue. So there are two different problems. I have installed printers in the past using these methods but not with win7. Any suggestions on where to correct my issues with printing?I almost forgot, i searched this forum for help with the key word p2u1p and found "http://social. Answers.microsoft.com/forums/en-us/gettingreadyforwindows7/thread/bc837a7a-768c-41c5-85a7-9c89a556511f"

But it does not allow me to view the replies. This forum getting ready for windows 7 must have been removed.
