Windows Cannot Log You On Because Your Profile Cannot Be Loaded

Powered down my windows 7 professional system and booted up a windows xp drive. Replaced the windows 7 drive back in and came up with this error.

Attached are other event viewer error logs in application section.

Source: user profile service
Event id: 1500
Details: windows cannot log you on because your profile cannot be loaded. Check that you are connected to the network, and that your network is functioning correctly.
Detail - access is denied.

I have had minimal experiance with windows vista as microsoft support kb says to just delete the user profile however i see that as a very weak answer too a problem. Especially for a custom user profile. Any help / advice into this without having to reload the os would be great.

User Profile Cannot Be Loaded

Yesterday i tried updating my computer with some optional windows updates. I think they were for microsoft live office & microsoft silverlight. I know one wouldn't update (i think the silverlight update), so i turned the computer off. Today when i turn the computer on i keep getting a "user profile service service failed the logon. User profile cannot be loaded" error. The solutions i've found so far you have to be able to access the start menu, but since the only profile i have on my computer is the admin profile i can't get past the login screen. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Mscorwks.dll File Cannot Be Loaded

Continuation of "mscorwks.dll can not be loaded". Excuse me but i got an error message that the thread should not exceed 6000 characters. I tried to deinstall all ati/catalyst entries, ati's deinstall didn't work, so i used the installer cleanup utility. It works fine, but if i restarted the computer i got the message "the computer must be restarted".

After this restart i got the big resolution on the sceen as before and also the message we talking about. So i searched directory c:windows for mom.exe and i found it too in
C:windowsassemblygac_msilmom2. 0. 0. 0_90ba9c70f846762e.

I renamed mom.exe and after restart the error message was gone. In task manager i will get another ati app called atiesxx.exe which is located in c:windows. I don't know if i can remove it because there are several ati. Files in c:windows (.exe and .dll). So i tried to install a new graphics driver, now it is version 10. 1. It starts coping files but the setup.exe doesn't work without a message. The same happens with version 9. 12. Do you have an idea?

Cannot Log On

We have a family computer with 4 users, 2 of which are administrators (parents). My son cannot log onto the internet from his desktop page. Earlier today a message popped up saying that the computer was infected and a anti virus suite message popped up and wanted to know if we wanted to buy this program. Have no idea how it got on here or where it came from. I have run an anti malware and anti spiware scan on all the drives on the computer and the anti virus suite message doesn't pop up, but he still cannot log onto the internet from his page.

No Log In Or Submit Button

When i want to log in to my email there isn't any log in button. I have to search all over to find where it is by clicking the mouse all over. The same happens on some games, or when i want to order something or doing surveys. It will say click submit and there isn't any button to click. In other words, those buttons or whatever you call them, have disappeared.

Unable To Log On To Win7

I am running windows 7 ultimate. I've been running on this for a few months. This morning, i went to log on and got an error invalid log on or password. I tried again, thinking i typed it wrong. Still didn't work. I rebooted in safe mode and was able to successfully log on.

I've created another account that doesn't have a password, and even logging into it i get the error invalid log on or password. I also did a system restore to 3 days ago, this didn't help either. I would simply back up my data while in safe mode and reinstall this laptop, except i have a program installed that i do not have the media for any longer. This is a program i need to do everything i possibly can to avoid loosing.

Black Screen On Log In

I have tried everything i can think of and nothing works. I looked up this problem and got nothing. So what happens is that most of the time when i restart my computer in anything but safemode i get a black screen with nothing on it but the mouse can move around. I first thought that this was a simple error and that i would use the task manager to manually open explorer.exe. Low and behold it freezes on me for about 3 minutes and then it says that i cant open the ctrl + alt + delete menu. So i restart my computer again and this time everything loads normally but now explorer.exe isn't responding correctly.

I can click on anything and everything has that white "program is not responding" color to it. Affter this i'm thinking i must have installed something that is messing with the explorer so i log into the computer running safe mode and everything works, so i thought it confirmed my theory and i did a system restore to the week before this started happening just to be on the safe side. I restarted my computer again and nothing is any different. It's been like this for a few days now what should i do?

How To Log On As Administrator Permanently?

How do i log on as administrator permanently? I have just gotten a computer with windows 7. I had a problem with a shareware program: the software key wouldn't "take" until i ran the program as administrator. I think it was happening because entering the registration code writes to the registry, and if would only be effective for that session; i.e. , It went back to trial mode with a restart.

Anyway, i am the only user on this computer; the account type is "administrator. " Does this really mean anything? Why do i still have to "log on as administrator"? Can i make this permanent?

How To Log Certificate Access Attempts?

I am getting an error from outlook 2003 and getting the error message, "the server you are connected to is using a security certificate that could not be verified. " I know what the problem is, i need to enable the right certificate, but there's no information as to what certificate it is having a problem with. I need to know the name of the certificate or the certificate authority or whatever.

I actually see that in internet explorer too. Sometimes i might have a problem with a certificate, but it gives no details as to which one. Is there a way to log which certificates windows is trying to access or for the moment at least which one outlook is trying to access?

Cannot Log On To New Created User Account

I created a new standard user account via control panel/user accounts/manage accounts. When i log out of the admin account and try to log on to the newly created account i get error message "the user profile service service failed the logon" "user profile cannot be loaded". Click ok and it logs off. I can still log on to all other 5 accounts which i created after i set up this new laptop (pre-installed with windows 7). When you click on a new account the first time, the system should set up the desktop and create the user folders.

I went back into admin account and checked application event log. Event id 1509 "windows cannot copy file c:usersdefault to location c:usersnew test account. This error may be caused by network problems of insufficient security rights. "  Detail - access is denied.

Cannot Log Into Xp Mode With Integration Turned On

I am using windows 7 enterprise and have downloaded and installed windows virtual pc and xp mode. I used the standard username of xpmuser and a password. Successfully linked to my company shared drives and installed the applications that need to run in xp mode. Fter a reboot of the main pc i can no longer log into xp mode with the hard drive integration turned on. With integration turned on, when i type in the xpmuser password i get a message "the local policy of this system does not allow you to logon interactively". I'm actually logging in twice. As the virtual machine starts, i enter the xpmuser name and password at a 'security' screen, then the xp session starts, and i get the error message above. Since the vm isn't part of a 'real' domain, i can't use my windows logon id, i am using the xmpuser name and password. I've removed and reinstalled virtual pc and xp mode and get back to this same problem. I get everything installed, but when the hardware is rebooted, i can no longer log in to xp mode.

Outlook Xp Problem With Log Into Email Account

When i added my email account to outlook xp under windows 7 i told it to save my password. When i clicked 'test settings' all of the tests completed.

Every time i run outlook xp it requests my password now! It does not ask for a profile. It says: pop. Telus.net, and the 'password' field is empty. When i type in my password it says the server rejected mylog in! If i go to my email account settings the password is in the appropriate field. If i click on 'test settings' all tests pass!

I went into notepad. I typed my password. I selected and copied my password. I went to my email account with internet explorer. I pasted my password into the appropriate field. I clicked 'log in. ' i was successful in logging in. I logged out.

I invoked outlook. It requested my password for: pop. Telus.net. I pasted my password into the appropriate field. I clicked: log in. Outlook told me that my email server had rejected my log in! I logged into my email account. I did not logout. I once again invoked outlook. This time i was not asked for my password. I clicked: send/receive all of my emails were received!

I called my email provider. I asked if he had any idea why outlook was not working. He said he had no idea. This never happened under windows xp. Does anyone know why outlook xp is unable to log into my email account under windows 7? Programmer for visual c+ 6. 0, and microsoft office including access.

Task Manager Can't Log Off User

I have windows 7 home premium with three accounts on it. Frequently someone else uses one of two the standard account on it and locks it down, i come along and log in with my administrators and log in and try to kill off their session. When i run task manager, highlight the standard account and then click logoff i get an error message user amy (sessionid=1) could not be logged off. Access is denied.

I've tried running task-manager from the system32 folder as administrator (even though my account is administrator) but i still get the same message. The amy (the standard user account) at this point shows in task manager as disconnected. How can i log of the other two users without re-booting please?

Can Log Into Admin Account But Not In Limited User

I shut my computer down two weeks ago before i left on a week long work trip. When i returned windows starts up normally except that i couldn't log in to any account. It would just hang at the screen with the spinning circle. I eventually was able to log in in safe mode, and used the fix from prevx.com and now i can log onto my admin account but not my limited account. Also even in my admin account only starcraft 2 works. Every other program i have installed takes ten minutes or more to start up, if they do, and most freeze the first time i click on any menu. For example i tried clicking save as on an open office document and it was hanging for over two hours. Internet explorer, firefox, and chrome don't load at all, while open office and msoffice both load and freeze.

Domain Profile

We have new install of windows 7 for a user who previously had windows xp. He has a roaming profile setup that has all his files and document stored on a network folder. With windows 7 the domain profile never syncs and in one instance the user change the font size, logged off and the entire changes made to the desktop and outlook were gone! Contents of my documents(over 2 gb) vanished. The users profile still works when he tried accessing it from another machine with xp on it. The user is set as a administrator on the domain and the pc.

User Profile Problem

I have a new computer with windows 7 home premium already installed. I do not have a network, just the one computer. I have set up user accounts for myself and my wife without any problems. However, although my account correctly shows my name, my user profile folder shows my name as "oem". I am wondering if it is safe to change oem to my name. I note that when i access the user profile  folder via the c drive there is a padlock against it but not when i access it via network.

Color Profile Conundrum

When i view images using picasa viewer or internet explorer they appear bright and saturated. When i view the images with lightroom they appear bright in library mode but dull in develop mode. In safari, firefox etc they appear dull and unsaturated no matter what color profile i select (at least of the ones i have selected). What color profile is ie using when it uses windows default(photography)? When i look in color management i see  device profile system default (srbg iec61966-2. 1)

System default (wsc profile for srgb viewing conditions)icc rendering intent to wcs gamut mapping perceptual (photo images): system default (photography) i have set firefox to use srbg iec61966-2. 1 profile but images still look much duller and unsaturated than in ie 8. Can someone explain to me what ie is using that ff isn't so i can resolve this? I assume it has something to do with wcs and gamut but this is over my head.

Temporary Profile Problem

I had installed win 7 ultimate 64 bit onto my pc. Now i have a main account and for security purposes so that someone else if sits on my pc can't access my stuff, i created a new standard account. Now the problem is as follows:-

When i try to login into my standard account then it behaves in a strange manner. Sometimes it allows me to login easily and sometimes itr shows me "preparing your desktop" and creates a temporary profile.

Its not that it always create a temporary profile, sometimes it works well but sometimes it doesn't.
I deleted that account, created another account but still the problem didn't worked out. I created one more account but it also had the same problem. Any suggestions which i can try? I don't want to format again or to remove my main account which works absolutely fine.

Hang During Profile Logoff

On occasion when i perform a logoff from a secondary profile under windows 7 the pc hangs. The logoff seems to work, but then either windows or the pc hang. I've tried alt ctrl delete with no success. I dont hear any disk activity, but that doesn't mean anything. I have to power the pc off manually, wait a minute then power it back on. Sometimes it asks how to restart windows and sometimes it performs a normal startup. The pc is an hp pavilion pc6230y. Anyone have a similar issue?

How To Customize Default Profile?

I was hoping someone could help me; i am trying to customize my windows 7 default profile. The way i used to do this in the past with winxp was by:

Create a local user account that did not have admin rights login with that local user and tweak the desktop and all application the way i wanted them reboot and map the that machines local drive from another computer make a copy of the original default profile and name it "default profile (original)" copy the contents of the local user account profile that i logged in with earlier and paste it over the default user profile

This worked like a charm and all users that logged in thereafter received the tweaked user profile that i created. With windows 7 i'm running into a lot of permission issues (even though i'm logged in as either a domain admin or local admin).

Also, i granted the local administrator "owner" rights to the default profile and it still failed to copy. I didn't get a specific error unfortunately. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated as this is driving me crazy. It's something i used to be able to do so simply with xp.
