Problem: Delay On Boot Due To Drivers Files: Ndproxy.sys, Srv.sys, And Vga.sys

Recently installed a fresh copy of windows 7 x86 and x64 in separate instances to see if the problem of a two minute period between the "windows is starting" screen and the desktop. Neither had a visible impact. I looked around online and found how to create a boot log. The following are the drivers/services that could not be installed during my startup:

4 instances of ndproxy. Svs
1 instance of vga.sys (hadn't installed video card driver yet)
1 instance of srv.sys

After installing the necessary drivers and with no alert from the device manager, the boot time is still roughly 2 minutes. Right now i am at a loss on what to do. For reference my avg startup time in xp was around 10 seconds from the windows logo. Any help would greatly be appreciated.

Unable To Boot - Ndis.sys Is Corrupt

I ran the upgrade about 6 months ago and my computer has run fine, until yesterday when windows failed to start as described. At first i got the same message in the startup repair and diagnosis log, but after several attempts to start, sometimes i get that same message, and other times i get , under "root cause found:" boot critical file c:windowssystem32driversdis.sys is corrupt
The rest remains the same. I am not running any other os. Any ideas out there on resolution?

Error - 0x0000003b Nvlddmkm.sys

When installing win 7 64 bit from dvd on a blank hard drive (i hit format before installing) it goes through installation and at the end i get a blue screen with errors 0x0000003b nvlddmkm.sys. I have a nvidia 280 gtx vid card, evga nforce 780i sli motherboard, 6 gigs of ram, quad core intel 3gz processor.

I had vista prior but had vista ultimate 64 bit and win 7 home premium won't upgrade so i had to do a clean install. It keeps failing with the blue screen and 0x0000003b nvlddmkm.sys errors over and over. Please don't make me re-install vista, how can i get this to work? I just got my win 7 dvd today.

Missing File Ndis.sys

On my windows xp professional ver 2002 service pack 3 the file " ndis.sys " is missing from the c:windowssystem32drivers folder. I have tried to copy the file from c:windowsservicepackfiles folder but this did not help, so i deleted the new file in safe mode. Is there any way to download the correct file from microsoft. I think an anti virus programme deleted the file on me. I think this missing file is causing all my network adapters to display the yellow triangle.

Suspected Virus In Disk.sys

My security software is reporting a virus corrupting disk.sys. Their solution: remove the file. I restored an older copy of the file (though it appears to be the same size, etc. ) To another location from a backup i had, and when i check it, it doesn't report any virus. But the existing copy, c:windowssystem32driversdisk.sys, does. So:1) is this file required for proper operation of windows 7?2) if so, how can i repair the apparent problem? Thanks. (Btw, i took ownership of the file but i can't open it to run a compare on it; it says i need permission from he owner, even though i *am* now the owner. Nor can i copy the file to another location. I don't get that. )

Classpnp.sys Blue Screen

I upgraded to windows 7 professional from xp about 3 months ago. The system worked really well until earlier this week.computer was switched off correctly but on switching on a few hours later the system went into a continuous loop of restarting itself. If i try to load in safe mode the system stops at classpnp.sys. I have tried to re-install from the windows upgrade disk but it seems to go so far and then just stops or i get the blue screen.

I have checked all the message boards but so far there is nothing that has worked. This is the only pc that i have access to that is running windows 7 - all of the rest are on xp. I dont care if i lose the information on my hard drive as it was all backed up before i upgraded to windows 7.

Bsod Stop - Tcpip.sys 0x000000d1

Bsod stop in tcpip.sys 0x000000d1 driver_irql_not_less_or_equal with intel proset/wireless drivers. I have a dell inspiron 1520. I upgraded from vista home to windows 7 ultimate. Since that i had already 3 or 4 bsod on tcpip.sys. Before the upgrade win7 detected 3 incompatibilities:

Skype 3. 8
Intel proset/wireless
Network monitor 3

I would have solved the problems but when i click ok the installation continued. After 7 hours to finish the upgrade (including downloading 1gb+), i was done ie8 was l sometimes crashing randomly. I partially solved the problem moving to firefox but when i forget i still have the problem now and then. Anyway, i need to fix the blue screen of death problems.

After the win7 upgrade, i upgrade the video drivers nvidea 8400gs, skype, network monitor 3 and the intel proset/wireless drivers. I think the problem is in the intel drivers becasue the bsod is on tcpip.sys. I downloaded the drivers here: http://www.Intel.com/support/wireless/wlan/sb/cs-010623.htm through the automatic detection.

It now find:
Product detected  intel® wireless wifi link 4965agn
Current intel® proset/wireless wifi connection utility installed  13. 1. 1. 0

These are two logs that win7 showed me after reboot after 2 different bsod incidents:

Netw5v64.sys Driver Issue Causes Bsod

I began getting the bsod randomly and frequently. In the time between yesterday until now, i have gotten nearly 30 bsod's. I know enough about computers to pinpoint the problem, and after debugging to the best of my ability, i determined that the driver netw5v64.sys was causing the crash.

Here is my pc info:
Dell inspiron 1525
4 gb memory
2. 4ghz duel core proc.
Integrated intel video card ~ 965chipset (i think this is correct)
280gb harddrive

The crash occurs at random, but only when i am accessing my wireless network adapter
Conditions that have changed that might have caused this:

- Yesterday around 2:00 i connected my computer to a netgear router. I live on a college campus that uses cisco security, but i wanted to broadcast my own wireless direct from an ethernet connection. I disabled dhcp and all router security. It worked and i was then able to connect through the wireless network i created into the school internet.

Other than this i cannot imagine what the problem is, and i cant seem to fix it. I have reinstalled, uninstalled, and updated all the wireless network drivers. I have check internet forms and i have found that a number of people running 64x windows are having this same issue!

Nvraid.sys Bsod When Drive Added

I have a home built computer that was working wonderfully with windows xp, however windows 7 professional 64 bit has been giving me some headaches.

I did a clean install a few days ago. I can get windows 7 to install perfectly on a single pair of mirrored sata hard drives. I set up my machine with the system and all of my programs on this drive c: everything works great. I keep all of my files on a second set of drives f:.

When i shut down the machine and add in another mirrored raid of two sata hard drives f:, the machine boots up and i can see the f drive and read and write from it for about 2-3 minutes and then consistently bsod's.

The blue screen points to a driver failure. Nvraid.sys driver_irql_not_less_or_equal. I have a .dmp file with the crash but i'm not sure how to share it here.

I'm at a bit of a loss as to what to do at this point. I've tried microsoft tech support and they just threw the problem to nvidia, which i doubt will support this 4+ year old motherboard, but who knows. I may have to go back to xp until this gets ironed out or i upgrade my motherboard.

Bsod - Usbhub.sys On Shutdown / Hibernate

A few days ago my computer with a recently installed windows 7 build 7100 start getting a bsod every single time i shut it down, restarted it or set it to hibernate. I've tried updating all ubs drivers in device manager but they were all up to date and didn't help. I tried restarting it with not a single usb device plugged in. I normally only have a usb mouse and sometimes a exhd or ipod plugged in, standard stuff. I tried doing my own research for the problem elsewhere but couldn't find any answer.

I also tried windows update and installed these three new optional updates but that failed to make any difference either. What other information do you need about my computer to diagnose the problem?

Nvlddmkm.sys Driver Causes Blue Screen

The nvlddkm.sys driver for my geforce 6150se nforce 430 graphics card causes a blue screen of death whenever i watch a youtube video for a long period of time. I re-installed windows 7 ultimate 64 bit, and it still does this. I run windows 7 ultimate 64bit, skype, teamviewer, pidgin client, mirc, firefox, kaspersky internet security 2010, opendns updater, itunes, and outlook 2007.

This problem has caused an unbootble machine when it first happened. It stops happening when i uninstall the nvlddkm.sys display driver, but when it gets reinstalled via windows u[date, and i reboot, it blue-screens. When i re-installed the os, i could work normally again. I am afraid this problem could start again however.

Athrxusb.sys Driver Problem Driver_irql_not_less_or_equal

I have been having a terrible time with a new computer i have purchased, it is the infamous driver_irql_not_less_or_equal. After searching the internet relentlessly for a solution to this problem, i have decided to post my own question, because it seems that this error is caused by faulty drivers or not properly installed drivers. I then searched for the driver named in the bsod, athrxusb.sys, and found it belongs to my smcwusb-g, part number 99-012084-552.

I have followed the procedures of many forums before deciding to post, i have tried uninstalling old drivers, moving the wireless adapter to different usb ports, and reinstalling the drivers. I also used programs such as device doctor to locate old and outdated drivers to replace them.
I would just go buy another wireless adapter, but i am worried that the driver, athrxusb.sys, will be required for any wireless adapter, no matter which i buy. I have seen that this error spans across multiple versions of windows operating systems, why not release a patch to fix this error? Is there one? If there is can it become more readily available to the public?

Ultimately i would like to fix the solution, buying a new device is not out of the option, i just want my pc to be able to connect to the internet without causing a bsod and wireless is the only option.

Unable To Create A Virtual Memory Pagefile.sys

Since i upgraded from vista ultimate 32-bit to windows 7 ultimate 32-bit i have been unable to create a virtual memory pagefile.sys. Everything was fine before the upgrade but no longer. If i try and specify new vm parameters on the vm dialogue everything appears fine. The new drive and size specification are accepted without incident. I click ok on all the parent dialogue boxes until they are all closed. If i then drill down through the same dialogue chain, when i return to window where i originally entered the details, they are nowhere to be found. My previous location and size specification are gone.

Fix Error 651 Problem With Raspppoe.sys File

I have error 651 problems. I have a gateway sx-2800-01 desktop. It came with windows vista premium and was later upgraded with a gateway disc to windows 7. I used an at&t dsl connection which worked fine. When i switched to my current time warner cable modem i have started receiving this error along with a dial up window which reads "dialing attempt 1 . Unable to establish a connection. I also get messages telling me the page i want is not available offline. These are all new problems.

I tried to rename file raspppoe.sys to raspppoe. Old as recommended and i get a window that tells me "file access denied" because i am not a "trusted installer". When i try to click on the link in part 2 of the fix. Shell. Windows.com/fileassoc/0409/xml/redir.asp?Ext=zip i got a web page not a download-able file. I tried searching the web and when i tried to download their fixes i got a high warning about the program. They seem like reputable sites. What can i do? Am i not understanding something about this problem? Why hasn't windows update fix this if microsoft is aware of the problem?

Netbook Cannot Start - Safe Mode Stops At Classpnp.sys

My msi u130 windows 7 starter does not start, merely gets to the loading screen (where you see the green flash going above the words microsoft corporation). Launch startup repair shows a white bar and the message windows is loading files before going to the loading screen. Launching os recovery does the same as above. Using safe mode hangs at 'classpnp.sys'. A variety of other safe mode options stop at 'classpnp.sys'.

I downloaded the windows 7 recovery disk iso and put it on a usb. After some problem with "ntldr is missing press ctrl alt del to restart" downloaded bootsect.exe, used that, then got a message windows is loading files and a white loading which, which, when complete, put me back tot he normal windows loading screen, zero other activity. Have tried to boot to a linux system off a usb to replace the classpnp.sys file with one i found on this xp machine, but can't get linux to start off the usb. So any ideas? With my main laptop with my wife i desperately need this netbook working, not least because it has office 2007 on it.

64-bit Boot Delay On Logo

I wish i could pin down exactly when this started, but it became much more noticeable after installing an ssd. When the windows logo first appears there are about 2 seconds of disc activity. After this, the computer sits there animating the logo for about 1 minute. After this idle time, the disc activity starts again and i am at the login screen in about ~10 seconds.

If boot logging is turned on windows stalls at the screen that notifies me that it is in boot logging mode. (After an initial scroll of drivers). I have installed the operating system multiple times. I don't believe that the rc1 release of windows had this issue, but i cannot remember.

Startech Usb To Vga Adaptor

I have a usb2vgae from startech which worked great to extend my display to an additional monitor.
When i upgraded to windows 7 it stopped working and startech says that usb2vgae does not support windows 7. They have a new product called usb2vga2 but tech information on the web seems to give conflicting info about that products support for windows 7. Can anyone confirm if either:-

- The startech usb2vga2 does in fact work with windows 7
Or
- There is another adaptor which has been tested with windows 7 for usb to vga?

Dlp Vga Display Problem

I have a new computer running windows 7 and for my monitor, i use my "60 widescreen dlp television and it has a vga port in back, so it is definitely designed for use with a computer. When i run windows at my desired resolution of 1920x1200, the monitor cuts off the right side of the screen a little. Its not a huge problem as it is just cutting off a small portion of the screen on the right side, probably less than 50 pixels at that resolution, but its somewhat annoying.

If i use the ati control panel to manually adjust the picture position, if i move it one notch to the left to make the whole image show up, the picture gets really dark and then if i watch videos or something with fast movement, all the black levels get messed up and the screen has a bunch of strange horizontal tearing or ghosting. I don't know if there's any programs to fix this or if its just a video card/monitor issue. Any suggestions are welcome.

Mouse Delay Between Typing And Using

I just got a new laptop with windows 7. I had xp before and this has never happened on any of my previous computers. When i enter text, it appears to suspend the mouse function from the touch pad for approximately 5 seconds. For example, if i were to go back to highlight or bold a section of this sentence, i have to wait for 5 seconds before the mouse will respond when i try to use the touchpad.

I find this very disruptive to my productivity, to start with. In addition, i find it also affects when i play a game as well, and this is just not acceptable! Is there a way to change this feature so that the touchpad and the keyboard are both active at the same time?

Logon Delay On Welcome Screen

When i logon to windows 7 (ultimate x64), the welcome screen stays on the screen for about 30 seconds before switching to the desktop. Other user accounts do not show this behavior. My profile is by far the biggest on the system (2. 7gb). I've read that there is a bug related to solid background colors, where the delay behavior is mentioned, but i'm using a desktop theme instead (also, reverting to the standard background did not solve ths issue). Does anybody have any other ideas? Can i use a tool like bootvis to analyze the logon process?

Shift Key Ignored After 1 Second Delay

I've on a windows 7 pc and would like my keyboard to do as it is asked. If i type 'hello world' quickly while holding the shift key down throughout, i get what i expect. If instead i pause for about a second before typing the world i get 'hello world'. This is not an effect i want. I often hold shift down for a while while highlighting text to cut or copy. If i hesitate, then the start point suddenly moves. Btw if i launch into virtual xp mode, the same effect is seen. Please help as this is very irritating and i've checked the 'ease of access' settings, which all appear to be off.

Standard Vga Graphics Adapter Issue

Installed windows 7 on my sony vaio pcv -rx752, tried to playback video on wmp and it keeps crashing. Checked the device manager and see an issue with my standard vga graphics adapter. Windows update keeps downloading its own driver and installing and it does not fix the error.

One of the errors i got on the update advisor report is about the sis 650-740 driver. I think that the driver for the vga graphics on the motherboard needs the sis 650_740 but i cannot find one for windows 7. When i try to download the on from sony vaio they only have one for xp and windows 7 wont let me install it. Any suggestions?

Fn Keys On Win 7 And Vga With Dual Monitor

Okay so i just installed windows 7 last night and was looking forward to plugging in my laptop (hp latitude d600) into my 32" lcd in my room via a vga cable. Which worked on my previous os of windows xp. However it is now not working when i plug the cables in and i can't find where to tell the computer to use the vga link. On top of all that i tried using fn f8 to solve that problem to make it go crt/lcd but my fn keys are now not functioning. I googled it and used the hotfix they provided but that also did not work. Ideas?
