I wish software would keep up with the changing technology. I even spent 40 minutes on the phone with epson, getting my all in one printer added, because the disc that came with it was not windows 7 ready, ridiculous! Anyway, if you could please help me out, i would greatly appreciate it!

Adobe Flash Player, Win 7, 64-bit Os

I recently upgraded to windows 7/64 bit and of course i'm having issues with adobe flash player. When i was running vista on the same system prior to windows 7, ie worked and flash worked therefore i was probably running ie 32.

When i try to execute ie 32 bit on windows 7 64 bit, the "circle/hour glass" appears and the goes away immediately with the ie 32 bit screen not displaying. Ie 64 bit does work except for any pages that need the flash player.

I have read many answers that say this should work until adobe releases the 64 bit product. I can't determine what is going on.

Adobe Flash Player Doesn't Work Correctly In Win 7 64-bit

Windows 7 with explorer 8 both in 64 bit. I can not back out of explorer now and go back to explorer 7 nor can i go to 32 bit. The main problem is the flash player from adobe. It is a new computer and pure all the way no conversion at all, so no system faults, just the headache of the internet. Oh yes, give me back my outlook express.

Can't View Flash

Ok, i have a problem. I've just downloaded ie8, thinking it would help, but the problem occurred in both ie7 & ie8. Ok, so on some sites i visit, flash files won't load. . Swf file extensions mainly. Some sites (like virtual worlds) work. But flash files, and embedded flash files don't. Here's an example.

This link won't show, it shows as a box with an 'x' in it (like a missing picture): www.Gardenpartyworld.com

This link, however, works, it's the actual flash of a virtual world: www.Gardenpartyworld.com/game

I cannot figure out how to make normal flash files visible in ie8, any response is appreciated.

Ie8 Crashes When View Web Pages With Flash

I've got 2 windows 7 machines, but on 64-bit processors with the 64-bit version of windows 7 installed. On both of them if we go to a web page with flash on it, and then close internet explorer 8, it will, always crash.

Why is that?  I can avoid if, if i go to some other web page without flash on it, but man that can be hard to remember and sometimes the flash isn't obvious because it isn't moving, so its easy to forget to go to some web page withou a flash item on it, but that's not the point. The point is why in heck does ie8 crash just because there's a flash element on the page?

2.0 Net Framework Error - Cannot Install On A 64-bit Operating System

Neighbor purchased a dell inspron 400 (zinohd): amd athlon2850e (1. 8ghz, 512k), 3gb ddr2 sdram at 800mhz, 320gb serial ata hard drive (7200rpm), windows 7, service tag 2858hk1

He had a number of problems that i have helped him cure. But one issue remains. Each time he turns on the computer he gets a notification that he needs to load and run .net framework 2. 0. However, when he goes to the referenced site and tries to download and run the program he gets an error message stating: "error: cannot install on a 64 bit operating system. " Ignoring this message doesnt appear to adversely affect the operation of the system but he has not used the computer for long and he fears there may be issues downstream.

He is an older gentleman, not at all computer savy and has been very frustrated by this and his inability to get help from dell or microsoft. He is considering returning the product.

In an effort to help him out, i have looked into this problem through the internet. I am an experienced pc user and can normally handle most issues like this but im not yet familiar with windows 7. I understand that windows 7 includes the .net framework 3. 5. 1 as an os component. I believe this means you will get the .net framework 2. 0 sp2, 3. 0 sp2 and 3. 5 sp1 plus a few post 3. 5 sp1 bug fixes.

Thus, you don't need to manually download .net framework 2. 0 and install it on windows 7. I have run the verification tool found on the internet by searching cannot install on a 64 bit operating system " 2. 0 net framework on google to verify the existence of these .net framework versions. The all are verified successfully. How can we eliminate the initial popup notification from appearing at power-on? What am i missing?

File Folders - Unable To View Content

Unfortunately i have vista/windows 7. I need the return of the xp-type flat folder  so i can see what is in the folders. I work through machine embroidery software called embird and really need to be able to quickly and efficiently choose a design as i could in xp, no trouble at all. Everyone in our machine embroidery group who thought they were upgrading when they bought  vista/windows 7 are so very disappointed and disgusted with the waste of time, money and effort in doing so.

The rest are hanging on to their old xp's like grim death. Why can't microsoft issue a patch to rectify this now obvious retrograde step (as evidenced by all the complaints on the forums. Don't they care that they have created a "dud" and by refusing to acknowledge their error are "doing the wrong thing" by their customers.come on microsoft - lift your act, rectify problems when you obviously know about them. Believe me, this problem is affecting your sales.

Flash Player

I have vista on one of my computers and for some reason, it tells me i need to install flash player when i try to watch videos. Even after i install the new flash player, it doesn't recognize it, and once again prompts me to install it. The only way i have found around it is to re-install the browser. Afterwards, everything works fine until i start the computer next time. Then the process starts again. Why do i have to re-install the browser to get it to recognize the flash player?  I have tried several different browsers with the same results (iexplorer, avant, orca, etc).

Javascript And Flash Player

Two days ago my vista ultimate machine worked fine on youtube and other sites for viewing video. Yesterday, when i visited the geni.com site and later the youtube site, i got the following message:

Hello, you either have javascript turned off or an old version of adobe's flash player. Get the latest flash player.

I loaded the latest flash player and this made no difference. After checking here in the forums i found a couple threads that led me to the help page for script enabling. I followed those proceedures to no avail. My first question is how do i fix this. My second question would be, what happened two days ago?

Cannot Use Adobe Flash Player On Ie

Using windows xp home edition sp2 on ie8. I begin. It was all working fine until either an upgrade to ie8 or when switching from avast free to avast license. Following reference from various forums, i downloaded and saved from adobe the uninstall and install files as attempting to directly install from adobe site did nothing. Not much success, even when disabling all from the tray and disabling av. Finally, used file hippo and downloaded version 10. 1. 51. 66. When i check on adobe version test the site asks to run add on. 'adobe flash player 10. 1d51'

When confirmed it sees the player as the correct version and names the operating system as xp. When i go to manage add ons shockflash object is there. Double click it and the remove all sites button is highlighted. I click on this to allow all sites and close. However, try you tube and it dont work. Go to, for instance, club penguin and its looking for a flash player.come out of ie, try again and shock flash object is not in the currently loaded add ons, back to adobe version test and again its looking to run the previous add on that i've just allowed for all websites!

Please help. Easy solution is to use firefox, which works perfectly fine but ie is essential for home schooling do i have an active x problem?Internet security settings seem ok. Using avg free as av

Flash Player Problem

I recently got (for christmas) an acer aspire laptop with windows 7 home premium. Everything seemed to be working fine - youtube, game sites, etc. Suddenly, it stopped working. I'm assuming that because i cannot do anything that needs  flash player, that maybe adobe came out with a new version of flash player or something, in which case i would need to download it.

After quite a few hours of research, i encountered something over and over about how you couldn't get flash player on a 64 bit operating system. I'm so confused. I read something on adobe.com that said i could use flash player on a 32 bit browser on my 64 bit system, but the only available step by step instructions were for xp or vista. Does no one care about glitches with windows 7?

Can't Run Flash Player

Can't run flash player. My system says i running 256 bit version and in control panel system reports 64 bit version. In order to run flash player i must, as i have been instructed by adobe, convert my systems windows 7 to the 32 bit version. When i look at the blue question mark in my ie toolbar (right hand corner) it says i have the 256 bit version.

But when i go to the control panel under system, it says i have the 64 bit version. In any case, the instructions for flash player on 64-bit operating system says i must have the 32 bit version for windows 7 running. How do i get the 32 bit version operating on my system so i can install flash player correctly?

Ie8 And Adobe Flash Player

I work on windows xp family. I've already installed adobe flash and macromedia players on my computer. Other browsers (chrome and firefox) work fine. But when i try to open a video clip, youtube for eg, in ie8, it displays a message that i need to install flash player. When i try to install again the later, the activex control warning message remains unresponsive on click and short while later, ie freezes showing the message that the site wants to install a module that can hurt your computer.

Leaving no means to install the player! Ultimately, i am brought to close ie through the task manager. I've uninstalled and re-installed ie8, but the same result!I wonder if ie has got any problem with the flash player? Or is there something that i am missing? Thanks for the reply.

Adobe Flash Player Install

I looked at the site below but cannot install flash. I just got this computer and straight out of the box there are several features we could access on our old machine but cannot now and i think it is because of flash. Like i said i tried all the steps below (really! - Come-on!) And no luck. http://social. Answers.microsoft.com/forums/en-us/internetexplorer/thread/86f3c0c8-79ee-46f9-88b3-0517763af52d/hi ollymax, you're not running 64-bit windows 7 are you? From the adobe flash player download page, you're downloading (saving) the installer, not running it (from the website) right?

Try this:
1. From internet options> security> internet zone, click on the default level button.
2. You still have the flash uninstaller and installer files saved on the desktop, right?
3. Restart in safe mode. Right click the flash uninstaller and run as administrator.

Start vista or windows 7 in safe mode

4. Restart into safe mode again.
5. Run the flash installer as administrator.
6. Restart.
7. From ie> tools> manage add-ons, make sure that the shockwave flash object is enabled.
8. Test flash player at http://kb2. Adobe.com/cps/155/tn_15507.html
9. If unsuccessful, check steps 3 and 4 at http://kb2. Adobe.com/cps/191/tn_19166.html

Adobe Flash Player Failure

For months i have tried everything i could find on the internet to successfully load and play adobe flash player 10 in windows 7. I am not the only one. There are numerous complaints on the internet defining the problem and offering solutions, none of which works. I did find one that said that windows 7 simply does not recognize adobe flash player 10. It seems every video on the web is based on the adobe flash player. My question is why hasn't microsoft responded to the numerous complaints and offer a quick fix?
