Trouble Sending Email

I installed windows 7 and windows mail. The problem is that i can get my mail but haven't been able to send any mail and the messages that are in my sent box were never sent out. I am at a remote location and not on my home isp network. It worked ok on my vista but after the upgrade  nothing can be sent out. I believe i have the correct information in my server because it was working before win7. Is there a number that i can call if i can't get a answer here? Thanks, my frustration level is now red!

Sending Pics Via Email Live

I have had my computer since feb. It is a gateway, 8gb, 1tb and was working very nicely up until about a month ago when i started having problems sending pics via e-mail/through windows live. I pull up the pic to send and the windows live box comes up but when i go to send a little box comes up, telling me that there are initializing errors with my hotmail acct inbox, outbox, etc. With a red circle by each remark. It also gives me an error id ox80070057 and suggested i go to support live.com to find out what that meant. I did and it said something was stuck in my outbox.

Well, i deleted all but 28 e-mails deleted every pic off my live profile, deleted all cookies and temp files, deleted some pictures, deleted programs that w don't use and/or don't need- oh. This
Is also because in the windows live mailbox that comes up to send the pics, behind the other box i get a message saying check your computer for low disk space and or low memory.

I don't have anything on my computer other than my pics, a few(4)) documents(small) & music. I'm wondering what is causing this and how can i fix it? Could it be all the songs my boyfriend has downloaded? I think it might be. He did delete 2 play-lists, but i just looked and there are like 30 hours worth of music on here and almost 430 songs that i can find. I told him i think those songs are causing the problem, but i could b wrong.

Problems Sending And Receiving Email Through Webmail

Here are the problems i am having since installing windows 7 and uninstalling/reinstalling ie 7; are they ie problems or something else?1. When i uninstalled ie 7 the hyperlinks in office 2003 wouldn't work. Dell's tech service ($140 and 5 hours work) reinstalled ie 7 (32 bit) and now my hyper-links in office 2003 do work. However:2. I cannot send email to my wife (different computers, same house). I am using windows live.com email.

She is using yahoo.com email. I send her email and she doesn't get it. When i use gmail.com she receives my email fine. But never when i use live.com. 3. When i signed up at the website zencast.com i never received a verification email. I tried using 3 different emails and none worked. 4. Ie 8 keeps coming up with a message asking me to install it. I don't want to because then my hyperlinks in office 2003 won't work again. Ie 7 is 32 bit. Office 2003 is 32 bit.

Ie 8 is 64 bit. My understanding is that office 2003 uses ie 7 for it's hyperlinks. Office 2007 and the upcoming 2010 does not - apparently. So until i get office 2007 or 2010 i have to keep only ie 7, not ie 8. This is my understanding. These are the weird problems i'm having since 1) installing windows 7 and 2) uninstalling ie 7 and reinstalling it.

Ie8 Crashes When Sending Email Via Owa

I have a new lenovo x200 that came with windows 7 professional. When using outlook web access in premium mode via ie8, if i try to send an email, data execution prevention forces ie8 to close. (Basic mode owa works fine, but it's much less user-friendly compared to premium mode. ) I have seen some postings by other people who have had a similar problem, but nothing that others have discussed has worked for me. For example, resetting the ie8 settings hasn't helped. Is there anything i can do to make premium mode owa work on this computer? Premium mode owa worked fine on my old computer that ran xp and ie7.

Standard Email Client - 3rd Party Email Program

I work on a danish high-school, and i need to use a 3rd party email- and conference program as my standard email client. The client is first class. I have tried to edit standard programs, but only windows software appears in there, and i can't get my 3rd. Party client to appear. How do i solve this problem?

Fax Sending Problem

I have been trying to send a fax for a long time now and it constantly says that the call had not been answered. I have looked over everything i could find on the internet and it does not seem that i am doing anything wrong. I have uninstalled / reinstalled windows fax and scan a couple of times but it seems to do no good. I still get the same message. One thing i noticed when reading the forums is that if i were to uninstall windows fax and scan and i were to reinstall it again , trying to send a fax for the first time, the fax wizard would pop up and lead me through the setup of the fax.

This wizard never comes up after the very first time that i set it up. I dont think i did anything wrong during the fax setup. The only thing that i entered was my area code. When i try to send a fax i hear the dialing tone and the fax tone for quite some time but in the end i get the same problem that i have described.

Sending Win 7 Overseas

My question is regarding installing windows 7 on computers that are not located in the same country as the country of purchase. So my brother is overseas in romania, and we wish to buy a windows 7: home premium package (for 3 users), and then use 2 of the license codes here in australia on our computers at home, and send the 3rd one for him to use in romania. Please note: my brothers laptop has been purchased from australia but he is now using it in romania. Will there be any issues with doing this?

Mail Stops Sending And Receiving

I have had windows mail on my system for 2 years now and suddenly it's started having problems with sending and receiving mail. This is not 100% of the time, but intermittent - it's been ok for all day for example but now it's failing to connect and is coming up with the error message 0x800cc13. My iphone is thankfully still downloading mail in the interim so i don't think this is a server issue.

I'm using windows vista and this may be coincidence but i'm sure this has only started happening since the latest windows update. Any / all advice would be welcome, i'm using windows mail for work and this is really proving a bugbear.

Mail Not Receiving Or Sending Emails

For the last two days or so, one of my email accounts is not receiving any mail, including test emails we had friends send to us. Furthermore, when trying to send an email to a different user on this computer, the letter was sent, but never went to the email i wanted. It came to the address i sent it from. The only email i've received in a couple of days. Lso, when i hit synchronize and send/receive, i get the error message window, but in the little tab where there would be an error code, it si blank, yet the window says an error has occurred! What gives?

Please help, i've been putting too much money into this computer since april (4 viruses, despite my paranoia and prevention of viruses)

Error message "there was a problem sending the command to the program" when trying to go to a link that is in an e-mailed message. I have no problem accessing links when in explorer, only when trying to get to a linked site from e-mail. This problem just started today, after the latest updates were installed. And it doesn't happen every time! If i retry the link, it'll go through (usually) after 3or 4 tries.

Fax Stopped Working For Sending And Receiving

This is a new higher end windows 7 intel based i5 computer with 8gb of memory. I have been using the windows fax and scan successfully before. When i went to receive a fax that area was grayed out. I lost all of my history of previous faxes. The name with fax number directory was still there. I manually copied the few listings. I also found i could not send faxes. It seems that in the print directory the print to fax name looks different. But i can't be sure. It now says " fax, microsoft shared fax driver" .

I confirmed that the fax is operational and the wires are connected properly by going online via a dial up network. So, i would think it's in the fax program software.

I tried to remove and reinstall the program, but in the control panel under remove programs i couldn't find it. Also, i'm not sure where to get the program to reinstall. I do have the windows 7 ultimate disk available. I tried going to "tools", then "fax settings". The blue circle circled and the window said, "not responding". Then it stopped. In other words, i cannot access the settings.

Email Client

As a potential corporate deployment looms, i question the removal of the "free" email client we have previously utilized in either outlook express or windows mail. For those stand alone pc's that still require an email client but not the functionality of the full office version of outlook (never mind the added financial impact) are you suggesting that we utilize the crappy live mail?  Surely you jest?  Is there a planned email client to be released (aka win mail) even if there is a cost incurred?

Email Problem

Occasionally, when either receiving or sending emails on bell sympatico (canada) a horizontal bar appears at the bottom of the email. This has the effect of making sentences and paragraphs appear on one line only, thus necessitating cursoring onto the bar and moving it to the right to see the entire sentence. This wastes time and is annoying. The bell sympatico technicians said it was probably a hotmail issue and they so could not solve the issue. Fyi, windows resolution is 1024 by 768 and an increase in resolution did not solve the issue. I just have a normal pc and nothing is wireless. I have windows xp.

Live Email

For the last month or so, i believe you did an update or change to live.com, it is very frustrating. It loads, reloads, reloads, clicks and clacks before i can get started addressing my emails or writing an email. The send to space will not take a name unless i mouse click it. When i open live.com email i have to wait while it loads and reloads about four times. Very frustrating. I loved it before, but can't have an email account that wastes my time as i use it for work. Is this only my problem or a problem with the new update?

Email On Win 7

Because of all the questions and problems being told about the windows mail that is non existent upon downloading windows 7, as of yet i have not installed windows 7. Why change or rather why not include an email program with windows 7 as of before, what unearthly reason could microsoft have for not including a workable email program especially for the home users, and for the people that are newbies to using a computer.

We all love to send stationery and icons etc. To our family and friends but according to many people this is not an applicable thought with the windows live mail. Personally i did not like and still do not like microsoft outlook mail program, but i loved and it was easy to use outlook express, with having vista i have gotten used to using windows mail even though some stationery programs do not work well with it. If we want to have a decent email program that we can use our stationery with we have to pay extra for an email program.

I do not consider that the new windows 7 for all of its new features is beneficial to the new computer user especially with not having a user friendly email program that even a new user can understand and use regardless of age. Recently i bought a new laptop for my mother who is 87 years of age, i had to teach her how different vista was from windows xp and the email program she had a ton of problems with, ended up teaching her how to use gmail and since i had never used this email
Program before it was hard for me to teach her how to send a basic email or to even forward a basic email without her having to end up deleting all emails that she wanted to keep.

Looking forward to an answer and to a better compatible similar to email program with any new windows coming out.

Attachments To An Email

When composing an email i used to be able to click on the "attach" tab and a drop-down would appear and i could choose to attach a picture or document. I could choose one or the other and it would take me to my pictures or documents. I would select what i wanted to attach to the email and then download to the email. I am unable to do that now. If i choose the attachment tab now, it takes me to a series of questions, email address, pop3 server, etc. , Which i don't know how to answer. What has changed? Is there a new procedure for this function?

I am using windows vista.

How To Setup Email?

How do you set up email using windows 7? I just bought a laptop with windows 7. I was using outlook express on a computer with xp previously without any problems. With the new laptop, i was using the comcast website for email. I frequently send data files as attachments for my work. When i sent it through the comcast email it when through okay on my end but the formatting was messed up on the other end. These are small files, approximately 84 kb. I have also found out that i do not have a default email sent up. Before i screw something up, i thought i would see what suggestions you have for which email service to use and how to set up the email default.

Email A Photo

Okay, all i need to do is send a picture & make it so that the person who gets it can download it & keep it. I have a  windows 7 home premium. I try to send it from my "pictures" but it always says that i do not have the "permission". I've tried everything i can think of (i know nothing about computers; it's just for the home). I am getting very upset over this. I don't want to send it along on "snapfish" because, from what i've seen, the person can't download & keep the picture on their computer. All i need to know is how to get "permission".

Live Email Vs Outlook

I used to use outlook to get my mail, now windows 7 doesn't work with it. I did the steps to add my email account to their windows live email and set my password. With regular outlook, when i would click the icon, the small password box would first open and the email window would not appear until the password was entered. When i click on this live icon, the email window opens (the preview window pane) and then the small password window appears in the middle of it.

Granted, you can't actually click on the folders in the mail window without entering the password, but you can see the messages waiting in the preview pane! What's the use of needing a password if people can still kind of see some of your emails? How do you get it to work more like outlook, where the email window will not open at all until the password is entered? Plus, nothing from my email account has come over to this live account (i.e. My contacts or the messages in my folders, including any new messages). I thought it was supposed to transfer the email account when i went through the add an account steps?

2nd Email Account

I've sent up my first comcast email account without any issues. I've then created another identity on the computer and tried to set up my second comcast email account but have run into this problem. It tells me i'm successful but when it tries to send or receive email i get a "logon to mail.comcast.net box asking for my user name and password. I type in what i think my user name for my second account is but it still won't "authorize" to get or send emails.
