Error - You Already Have These Programs

Can anyone help me how to solve this problem because windows live movie maker is lost. I've tried to download it once and i did not know that i've been deleted the other folder which is related in that program so when i've tried to opened it, it showed up the box says ''windows movie maker couldn't be located. Do u want to delete it yes or no?'' so i clicked yes and now i've tried to download it again but it says ''you already have these programs : (photo gallery & movie maker)'' but i've tried to search it on my computer but still couldn't find it :( does anyone know where it went?

Blue Screen Error After Installed Programs

Blue screen error- the deadly one !I'm using windows seven home premium 64-bit. 4 gb ram. 512 mb nvidia. Laptop model- lenovo g560i keep getting blue screens at least twice a week and i don't know why. I had installed fifa 2010 and after that problems started coming up. The game started crashing. I had also installed itunes yesterday and after that i saw the second blue screen coming up. I also installed device drivers for the ipod nano 16 gb. And also, after that, windows explorer has started acting like crazy.

It keeps crashing. When i try to find a solution through the action centre, it shows that iit could not reach the server, although i am connected. Please help guys. It does not feel nice to see blue screens so often. Is it a problem of windows 7? (The compatibility issue?). Because most of the programs i use are 32-bit or 84-bit most of them migrated from windows xp home edition.

Folder Redirection Error When Installing Programs

We are using folder redirection for the users my documents folder. We have to install programs under an admin account just to install it because the users (who are local admin) get an error 1324. The folder path 'foldername ' contains an invalid character. I have tried looking at the registry but not sure how this will affect the the system as there are a series of areas that this foldername is located in. We do not need to screw up items even more for the user then we have too. Issue is also that even when installing it under the admin account the user account is not always able to open or run the application correctly.

Error - Admin Policy Is Set To Not Allow To Install .msi Programs

Can't install programs (. Msi?), And the error message says that it's because the admin policy is set to not allow it. But i'm the admin, i've recently installed windows 7, and, as the title says, there are some programs i can't install. What i've noticed is that they are "msi" files (i think) - don't know if this means anything or not. I get an error message (red "x") that says that the system admin doesn't allow such a file to be installed, but i'm the sys admin. I took a gander at the admin tools (control panel), but i don't understand most of what's there.

Office 2007 Programs Do Not Appear In Default Programs List

I have both and microsoft office 2007 installed on my windows 7 computer and i would like to use microsoft office as the default for all files it can open but it does not appear in the default programs list.

In fact, except for microsoft office outlook, none of my microsoft office 2007 applications appear in the default programs list! does appear, and when i click on it in the list and click choose defaults for this program many of the defaults are already set to the equivalent microsoft office application. But there are some associations (such as text files) that are not correctly associated, and possibly others that i don't know about. I'd like to click on microsoft word and then click set this program as default so that it will automatically open all the files it can.

Now i cant even get the projects to open, my computer gets stuck running with (not responding) showing and it never recovers. I tried running ccleaner, updates, latest bios, driver updates but to no avail. Im not getting a clear answer on this problem. Ive searched forums for the last two days. Is there a solution or just speculation, oh and companies trying to sell registry tools. Which don't work by the way either.

All Programs Are Inaccessible

All of my programs have turned into a windows media player format and icon, meaning all my programs are inaccessible. I have recently purchased a new dell laptop. It has all the latest features such as, windows 7, norton 360 virus protection 2010 all running and updated and other important programs.

All of a sudden my computer went black and all my icons had become a windows media player format and icon. Should i remove windows media player? Or should i restore all of my files and programs back to factory default setting or before its too late, can you help me? How did this bug get on my computer?, Could i have done this accidentally?, How did the problem originate?, Why did it come? How can i stop this from happening again? How can i get rid of the problem?

Disappearing Programs

I have yet been able to regularly duplicate this problem, but it seems to happen to me at least once a day. I did a clean install of w7rc on a fresh hard drive and everything installed fine. However, occasionally i will click a program on my task bar and it will way it's not there and ask me if i want to delete the shortcut. If i go to the start bar, there are no programs and the only thing i can do it shut down. I'm uncertain if microsoft is finding this issue as i receive no apparent error. Upon rebooting, everything is fine. Like i said, i don't know how to reproduce it as it seems to have no trend towards doing a specific operation, but it seems to happen to me at least once a day.

Where Do I Install My Programs To?

I am building a simple installer for some software that i want to install on some of the computers here at work. I'm using a very simple open source installation program, and it wants me to set the default installation directory where the software i have written should be installed. The computers at work are a mix of windows xp, vista and soon windows 7 computers. I have been installing to c:program files before, and that's been working fine.

But since vista came out, its been a bit unpredictable. I understand there is something to do with 'virtualization' of folders, which i don't really understand, and i also believe that this has all changed again with windows 7.

Is there some 'best practice' guide for where to install programs to?  The users who will be installing the software are just regular computer users (ie. Not administrators) and therefore i need a solution that works on all platforms and is safe and won't create security issues.

Cant Install Any New Programs

For some reason every time i go to install something new, ie quick time, java or itune, my computer is telling me i cant install something until i complete the installation currently in progress. The thing is, i have no idea what is in progress, and have had this problem for almost a month. I*ve restarted my computer and even done system restores to try and clear it up. I also cannot uninstall programs. I was wondering if anyone could tell me how to pinpoint exactly where or what the installation may be. Or if there is something i can do to cancel all current installations.

The ie and firefox constantly freeze up when i try and upload videos, itunes will not play anything even though i reboot the system , and when i try to play any game it freezes as well. If someone can help me tell me what i need to do please!

Deleting Programs

When trying to install windows 7, an error message appeared saying, "windows vista home premium cannot be upgraded to windows 7 professional. You can choose to install a new copy of windows 7 professional instead, but this is different from an upgrade, and does not keep your files, settings, and programs. You'll need to reinstall any programs using the original installation discs or files. To save your files before installing windows, back them up to an external location such as a cd, dvd, or external hard drive. To install a new copy of windows 7 professional, click the back button in the upper left-hand corner, and select "custom (advanced)". "

So im guessing this will clear my laptop. Is there any way i can get windows 7 and still retain the programs i have now?

Cannot Use Programs That Use Directx

For some reason i can't use most of the programs on my computer. I just get an error message when i open them. While i can't identify what's wrong, i've noticed a pattern: the ones that don't work all use directx in one way or another. Here's a list of some of the programs that don't work, along with error messages: steam (says something about running in compatibility mode [even though i'm not])windows live messenger (nothing happens after trying to open)borderlands ("the application was unable to start correctly (0xc00000005). ")Quake shareware version("this system does not support full-screen mode.

Click close to terminate the program. ")Ms office powerpoint 2007 (crashes when i try to use an animation)game maker 8 ("runtime error 216 at 00404596")many cam 2. 4 (crashes when i try using video as a source)most games preinstalled on windows 7 (crashes when opening, internet games work for some reason)adobe premiere pro cs3 ("adobe premiere pro could not load any audio drivers.

Please reinstall adobe premiere pro. ")Directx diagnostic tool (crashes when attempting to access system information, directsound, &directshow)i've tried system restore, uninstalling some of the programs and reinstalling others, replacing my video card, but it still doesn't work. I've also attempted to reinstall directx, but it crashes in the middle of installation. I noticed the installer created an text file called "dxerror" that says this:

Getting Bsod Randomly While Using Various Programs

So i upgraded my laptop computer (toshiba satellite) from windows vista 64 to window 7 64, and at first there were no problems. However, as i work, occasionally a bsod will come up. After the computer restarts itself, it shows up with the "find solution to problem" window:

Files that help describe the problem:

Also, on the blue screen, at the top it says pfn_list_corrupt, then it proceeds to "file dump"? I have tried updating my drivers with windows 7 ones; i've tried cleaning the registry (with regdefense). However, neither of these have done anything to fix my problem. This is very much a problem, because my computer can restart itself without warning. Can anyone shed some light on this issue?
