Memory Crash Dump File (bsod, Product 768_1)

I am at a loss as to how to resolve this issue. I have run memory checks, even re-seated the ram cards, but to no avail. When trying to shut down the computer, i encounter a bsod with a memory crash dump that soon goes to a login screen. I am unable to shutdown, except via safe mode.

I have perused some older posts but there seems to be unique reasons for the problems, like specific drivers. Some of you experts have been able to open the dmp file and peer into the reason (driver) causing the problem. Can you kindly do the same for my case? I can attached a copy of the latest (today) dmp file in zip format, if it can be done later or through personal email.

System Error Memory Dump Files

Upgraded from xp to win7 using custom advanced option. Install went ok. I have an 80gb hd w/2gb ram. The hd is about 1/2 free space. After opening a windows session for several hours, system error memory dump files occupy more than 35gb hd space creating the low disc space warning. In order to correct the problem i must restart using the chkdsk/f utility. When chkdsk/f is run step 4 of 5 takes a long time apparently repairing errors. When the reboot is complete the free space is again available.

Bsod Memory Dump With Error Code 0x0000007f

Windows 7x64 working fine for a few weeks then out of the blue i randomly get a bsod memory dump with the error code 0x0000007f. I'm running a dell studio 17 with 4 gb of ram on windows 7 64-bit home premium. My system was running flawlessly for a few weeks since i upgraded from vista, then suddenly i started getting bsod memory dump error [code:0x0000007f]

I had a problem similar with vista on this computer, it was from a certain update from microsoft. After i removed the update it worked fine. I'm hoping it is something similar to this.

Memory Parity Error Crash

I have a gateway w350i which i upgraded to windows 7a few months ago and it has been running smoothly up until about a week or two ago. One day a got a blue screen that said "memory parity error -  system halted - contact your hardware manufacturer" and so on. I restarted it and it worked fine until the next day i got the same message while using it.

Since then every time i restarted, it would crash and get this message either at the login screen or a few seconds after logging in. I read a different forum (on my desktop) that said to check each memory module so i tried swapping them out with some other memory i had but got the same problem.

I switched them back and was able to load windows and the internet in safe mode with networking and am able to type this message now on it without crashing. However i want to be able to use the laptop in regular mode because i cant run most other programs and the screen resolution cant be changed to normal either. Does anybody know what could be causing this that doesn't occur
In safe mode w/ net?

The only thing i have done changed in the past few weeks to the system is installing windows movie maker and the other things that i had to install with it. I thought it might be the problem somehow but i cant uninstall it in safe mode. It will load the add/remove screen but it says windows installer cannot be loaded if i actually try to uninstall it.

Registry corruption, no repair options! Computer was doing a reg scan and my dog unplugged the computer, on next boot up bsod after os loaded. Here is my memory.dmp it is the only dmp file i could find.

Startup repair log:

Last successful boot time: 7/26/2010 4:50:16 am (gmt)
Number of repair attempts: 14

All scans return 0x0

-

Root cause found:

Startup repair has tried several times but still cannot determine the cause of the problem.

-

So next i tried system restore:
Latest restore point 7/26/2010 5:51:45 am

Local disk (c:) (system) status you must enable system protection on this drive. It is enabled which is why i have the restore point. It says this with all other restore points

-

Then i tried system image recovery. When i load image i get an error: this image does not belong to this system, please select an image of this system

-

Then i tried reloading windows 7 and i get and error: your system is missing some drivers for your cd/dvd rom please load drivers. It just booted off the dvd- and windows has all the drivers!. No joy :(

-

I can run regedit from command prompt so then i tried to repair the reg manually and found broken link to explorerframes.dll it will not allow me to modify the registery, the keys just don't save.

I also found that i could run any program that does not require explorer or the registry from command prompt in repair mode.

Is there a way to manually restore a restore point with out system restore? Or something like that?

Quicktime Error On Startup

Machine = dell studio running 64 bit windows vista with sp 2. I installed the latest version of quicktime. There was an error at the end of the install, but no error message beyond "windows installer has stopped. " Nothing specific. When i try to run quicktime, i get the "please install apple application support' error. I did some research and found that it was suggested that i re-register the vbscript.dll. I tried this, but got an error code = 0x80004004 message saying the call to the registration server failed. I don't know if this has anything to do with the original problem.

Error Message Upon Startup

I'm not certain this is the forum i should be in but if i am in the wrong place, please someone redirect me to the correct place okay ?! Upon start up when i turn on, boot up or whatever you wanna call it, i always receive this error message and i have done everything i can think of to get rid of it. I have uninstalled and reinstalled programs that i thought that particular .dll file
Came with and on and on but nothing has worked.

Error message: the program can't start because msvcr71.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix the problem.

I have searched and brought all of the crazies out of the woodwork with their "magical fixes" if you install this registry scan and that registry scan but i have enough smarts to know that is all they do is scan, none of them actually fix the issue.

Anyway, is there a simple fix for this. I ran a system restore but my restore points don't go back far enough and the error message box is still there! Lost

To enable just-in-time (jit) debugging, the .config file for this application or computer (machine.config) must have the jit debugging value set in the system. Windows. Forms section. The application must also be compiled with debugging enabled. For example:

Startup Error With Bccode 116

It seems i have run into a so called "blue screen of death" error. However, what happened to me does not fit any of the descriptions i've found around the forum, so i'm posting my own question.couple of hours ago, my computer booted normally. However, after a couple of minutes it crashed after booting op google chrome. There was no response from mouse or keyboard. When restarted, there was the option to start windows in safe mode or start it normally. When chosen to start it in safe mode, everything works fine. Safe mode with networking works too, as i'm typing this while in safe mode. However, if i try to start the windows normally, i get the blue screen. I've tried to run startup repair, but that hasn't produced any results.

I have noticed that my initial startup screen (some picture from the manufacturer of my motherboard) had odd, thin, dotted lines running vertically on the left side of my screen. Also, the blue screen had some wider lines similar to those. I'm running windows 7, professional edition, 64-bit.

Blue Screen / Dump / Bugcheck

Since upgrading to windows 7 my computer randomly crashes with a blue screen then restarts itself in the safe mode option screen. I went to the event viewer and there it said "the computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. " Under the error. Under the critical event it said:

Event filter with query "select * from _instancemodificationevent within 60 where targetinstance isa "win32_processor" and targetinstance. Loadpercentage > 99" could not be reactivated in namespace "//. /Root/cimv2" because of error 0x80041003. Events cannot be delivered through this filter until the problem is corrected.

More however show up under both error and critical with this message:

Session "readyboot" stopped due to the following error: 0xc0000188 (sourse listed as kernel power).

How can i fix this so that my computer stops crashing on me ? This is getting very frustrating, i have already read other posts with the same problem and tried the suggestions there, but nothing has worked at all.

How To Upload Bsod Dump File To Skydrive ?

This must be a dumb question, but i can't figure it out yet. Here is the situation:

I logged in and was able to get in skydrive created a folder, set to be shared with everyone.
When trying to upload the file from c:windowsminidump, it was rejected because lacking of administrator access right. This is my private/home pc, i recalled when created my user account, i set myself with full access right of an administrator, and just open the window control panel to verify it.

I also tried to drag the dump file from window explorer to the shared folder on skydrive without success. It must be a few simple clicks.

Blue Screen - Physical Memory Dump

So, up until recently (november 18-20th) my laptop was working relatively fine. I had some updates from around the 10th that i hadn't updated with, and after having done so i began to receive physical memory dumps. My first solution was restoring to before i updated my computer, which worked. I reinstalled my updates after a good 4-5 hour session, but ended up with the bluescreen 10 minutes into a session shortly afterward.

I have looked at the thread from august, but those updates did not cause memory dumps. On the side, i removed the update causing a different bluescreen which i have yet to encounter, and i do not know if it is the on responsible for my dump (kb9xxxxx, lost the related forum). I am also trying to avoid testing this at all costs because i know the damage physical memory dumps can do to a computer. And somehow my windows vista question got put under windows 7?

Physical Memory Dump - Blue Screen

First post here so hope someone can help me. I have a brand new pc amd althlon ii x2 630 processor, 4gb ram, win 7 64 professional. I randomly get the blue screen reporting a dumping of physical memory. The machine has been back to the pc vendor, twice which they ran cpu, hd and ram tests. All report ok. They have also replaced ram to try that. But still the same. T first i thought it maybe the software i was using being only 32 bit, but seems to make no difference, can be in my email and the blue screen or doing more demanding tasks in photoshop, it seems to make no difference.

Also, i can go for a week with no problem, then get the blue screen 3 times in 1 day? I've dried re-installing drivers, windows memory check reports no errors either. Ny ideas? Here is a memory dump report i save, 3 in total and all look the same to me. Problem signature:

Blue Screen Memory Dump During Shutdown

So i am setting up windows 7 enterprise 32-bit in a computer lab, and most of the time when i perform a shutdown or restart i get a blue screen memory dump. I think it has something to do with an apple software product as the problem started showing up after i installed itunes and quicktime. I tried uninstalling all of the apple software and deleted all i could find in program files, but it has made no difference. I tried installing a hotfix that was said to fix this problem, but it didn't. (404160_intl_i386) my blue screen info is: stop:0x0000000a (0x8ac65bf0, 0x00000002, 0x00000001, 0x8286f1b9)

Error Recovery - Startup Repair Won't Work

About a month ago i got a sony laptop with windows 7 home premium 64 pre-installed. It was working fine until two days ago, when i went to shut it down it began to do an update with the shutdown. Since then, i have been unable to get windows to start. It takes me into the windows error recovery screen, however, when i launch startup repair, it takes me to a new screen, but doesn't bring up the startup repair menu. I've also tried starting windows normally, and staring windows in safe mode, but it just blue screens and the whole process starts back over. Since i got the laptop with windows 7 already installed, i don't have an installation cd. I don't care if i lose all my data (almost everything is backed up), but i really want to get my computer running again. Any ideas?

Ie 8 Seems Always To Crash

I have been using windows 7 since it's release and previously the rc1. I use the 64 bit flavor and have been constantly running into problems with ie8. It seems always to crash when i click on the following page of an article i.e extremetech.com or bbc.co.uk. It keeps hanging or crashing and i have never had so many crashes since i was using active desktop with ie4. It really is so annoying that i have even installed firefox to try and see if it has come from the site itself. I regularly update and also system clean-up , and i floss regularly too. Any known bugs or fixes or should i re-install ie8 ( if at all possible) i am also using f-sucure internet security 2010 and the other pc's in my home experience no such problem.

Program Crash

I have recently purchased a new dell vostro 1220 laptop with windows 7 home prem installed. I also have a web design package known as incomedia website x5 evolution installed, the problem is it doesn't seem to want to operate under windows 7. The program crashes frequently and the only information i have as to why is listed below. I have tried the following:

-Uninstalling and re-installing (as administrator)
-Setting compatibility mode as windows vista
-Uninstalling again (and deleting the actual program directory from the programs folder)
-Re-installing the software again and installing the latest update for it

It still will not work, i have also submitted this question to the manufacturers of the software, incomedia, but thought i would also ask here too just in case someone has a quick and easy answer to sort this out.

Sound Causes Programs To Crash

I got my laptop last october and installed windows 7 professional right after it came out. Since maybe december, i have been having sporadic problems where programs hang when they are supposed to have sound. I open a video in windows media player, it crashes. I play a video on youtube, my browser crashes. Even if i try to adjust the volume, volume mixer crashes. It seems to happen only when i switch sound output, like when i plug in my headphones. Restarting windows usually fixes this, which is why i didn't bother asking for help before. Just now i restarted three times with no luck, and i'm fed up. Any ideas on where the problem is coming from?

Service Pack Crash

This past friday after a microsoft automatic update of service pack (3?) My computer (dell/windows vista) failed to reboot past the welcome screen. For some reason the back up on my computer never worked. I called dell, after five hours and a lot of aggravation from the technician and really
Hard sells for security and the "great deal" for a $249 dell on call contract, everything was lost, including my mailbox. He took the firefox logo and put it on internet explorer and said everything had been saved. Actually some default pics from windows (i use picasa) and documents were saved.

I realize that life is temporary, but why does this have to be so aggravating. Firefox (3. 5. 2) is incompatible w/ windows. It crashes endlessly, especially w/ vids, popups, etc. The box that shows the firefox exe 'lsp' patch, socket error, w/ the abort, retry, ignore - retry is an automatic crash. What can be done about this mess?
